Damien's POV:
Rage surged through me, a blinding torrent that threatened to tear apart the last shred of control I had over Midnight. The bond was gone—severed. I couldn't feel her, couldn't sense her warmth, her presence. All that remained was a hollow emptiness that gnawed at my chest like a ravenous beast. The absence of her bond felt like a physical blow, knocking the air from my lungs.
"You severed it," I snarled, advancing on Revina with murder in my eyes. My voice dropped, barely above a growl. "You severed the bond. You killed it."
She didn't flinch, her gaze steady, almost clinical. It was as if she were observing me from a distance, detached from the chaos she'd caused. "I did what was necessary to save her."
"Save her?" The words ripped from my throat, venomous and dripping with disbelief. Midnight was clawing at my mind, trying to take over, but I held him back—barely. "You didn't save her. You*destroyed us."
