64. Trouble

(A/N: Man it's so hard to choose a good power for my next Marvel FanFic character. Also I have thought of a very good Finish for this novel)

Alex was currently sleeping soundly with Barbara laying down on him with her ginger hair all over his face like a night curtain.

He woke up as he sensed some powerful entities running rampant on the streets and screaming was being heard in his sensitive ears.

'Something's not right'. He thought as he stood up from the bed hurriedly.

Barbara groaned as she twisted her body and tried to look for Alex with her hands. Her eyes were still closed and didn't open at all.

Alex didn't care at the moment as he quickly left the room in his combat suit and got on the streets silently without being found.

There were demons with wings behind them ravaging the streets of Gotham as they abducted people left and right.

They were wearing metal armour as they started to take people away from the place. A lot of people had been abducted already.

*Ring*

Just then the phone in his pocket rang as he took it out and answered the call.

"Silent Reaper, I suppose you already know what's going on". Superman's voice came as he hurriedly said on the phone.

"Yeah, I am also on the move to save people". Alex gave the affirmation as he tried to rescue the people close to him.

"Alright, we have to handle this quickly. I have also heard of other people like us on the news that are doing the same". Superman said as he assured Alex and continued with the activities.

"Alright man, talk to you later". Alex said as he cut off the call and started to help the people and save them from the Parademons.

'It's only been a month since I came back from the Atlantis war and now this is happening. This world has no chill'. Alex lamented as he kept on helping people.

Another portal was opened in the sky as the Parademons were facing resistance. A being of immense power finally showed up.

"People of this planet, submit to my will and face your God". The being said with his hands crossed behind his back.

He was very tall with orange eyes without pupils and a grey cracked skin and dark blue armour on his body.

The voice contained waves of mysterious energy that rattled people's will if it is not strong enough.

'I don't need to worry about the girls or Mom and Dad. They have been trained enough to handle themselves. Even Alfred has been trained by me'. Alex thought as he looked at Darkseid in the sky.

There was a massive portal behind him from where you could see a planet that was dead and was spewing fire from multiple places.

The one Alex was seeing was just a projection. The real thing was still on top of Metropolis and looking down at the city.

'Have to get rid of this guy'. He thought as he flew up and quickly made his way to Metropolis.

'The girls and Bruce will be able to handle the Parademons in Gotham'. He was pinning his hopes on them while he goes to solve the biggest threat there is.

"Hey Reaper". Superman's voice came as he flew to Alex's side.

"What are you doing here?" He asked a bit puzzled as he knew that Gotham was Reaper's territory.

"I am here to take care of the Big Bad". Alex said as he pointed towards Darkseid in the sky.

'And I want a good challenge'. He smiled as he looked at the Darkseid in the sky with a bloodthirsty grin behind his mask.

"Let me help you". Superman said as his was resolute and he was also looking towards Darkseid.

"No can do, you are the only one protecting people here. Gotham has others, so I can come here but you can't". Alex said as he quickly denied.

'What a joke, I want a challenge. I don't want you interfering in it'. He thought while flying towards forwards.

He evaded the Parademons on the way or killed them and sucked their Hamon crazily. Any Parademon that came near him would shrivel up and drop dead.

He didn't care on how many that he was killing. He just went on a mad rampage like a vampire sucking out other people's blood.

He sucked so much Hamon from more than hundreds of Parademons that his body was feeling a bit bloated.

'If this power is refined, I can probably increase my power by 20%'. He thought while still drying up more Parademons.

Finally when he felt that he couldn't take it anymore. He stopped for a while to adjust his state and continued to fly towards Darkseid.

His speed had slowed down because of all the Parademons in his way. Otherwise, he would've been in front of Darkseid long ago.

The world watched as Alex approached the Bad guy bravely while fighting a horde of demons on his way.

On the other side, there were reporters trying out this on news for the world to see their heroes and people that were bravely facing these aliens.

Some reporters had already been abducted and some were even killed in action but somehow, Lois Lane, the super reporter was still able to catch his actions even among all these terrifying Parademons running rampant on the streets.

She was one lucky and brave girl.

"People, we have a person currently flying towards the Leader of these demons in the sky. He may be out Hope to survive this catastrophe". Lois Lane said as she faced the camera and reported the situation while filming Alex.

Seeing that Alex was approaching Darkseid, the Parademons started to focus on him as they barred his path. They grouped together in the number of tens of them as they fought against him relentlessly.

As soon as Alex took care of one, two more would fill its place. Soon, he was surrounded by a horde of Parademons that numbered in the thousands.

He didn't even have room to breathe as he fought them as fast as he could. He was trying to make a way out for himself.

The situation wasn't very optimistic as he couldn't reach Darkseid in a short period of time as he was getting stalled and hindered as soon as he found a small opening.

These Parademons had no regard to their own life or safety as their only goal was to stop Alex from reaching Darkseid at all costs.
