48. Zatanna 2

"I am Zatanna Zatara and I am a Sorceress". Zatanna said as her eyes glowed for a bit and she started speaking.

"Dnib". She spoke and Alex felt his body getting constricted by something powerful.

He raised an eyebrow at her show of her power and snapped his finger. "Revert to Zero". That was all he said and her magic broke.

Alex looked at her calmly as the magic binding him snapped like nothing ever happened and Gold Experience appeared next to him while floating in the air.

"Wh-what?" She said a bit puzzled and surprised at the sudden turn of events.

She couldn't see it but she had a feeling that there was another entity in the room with them. Saying she was surprised was an understatement.

"So now you know it". Alex said as he smirked at her openly.

"Hmph, lemme see again". Zatanna snorted and got ready to do it again.

"Hsup". She said and Alex was about to be pushed back to the wall.

Gold Experience saw this and immediately acted as it activated its ability and broke the effect of the magic again without breaking a sweat.

Zatanna slumped her shoulders as she looked at Alex meekly. "Just my luck. Now I can't even make you forget". She was lamenting as she cried out in sorrow again.

"Haaa, will you stop crying and listen". Alex gave an exasperated sigh as he tried to get her attention.

"What?" She said while sobbing.

"Didn't I say that I will take responsibility and I can also protect you very well". Alex said sincerely as he patted her back.

"Oh but I should tell you something first before you misunderstand. I already have five Girlfriends and they all know each other.

I don't want to lie about this. So make sure to remember this before we come to an agreement". Alex reminded as he didn't want to build the relationship on lies.

"But I never agreed in the first place". Zatanna said as she looked at him.

"And you didn't even tell me your name after knowing mine". She pointed out as she kept looking at his face.

"Well, you never gave me the chance to". Alex shook his head with a smile.

"I am Alexander Wayne". He said as he kept looking at her with a smile.

"W-Wayne?" Zatanna was surprised again when she heard his name.

"Yes, the one and only Rich, Philanthropist, Playboy Alexander Wayne". Alex gave an exaggerated bow like an introduction as he stood up on the bed in front of her.

"Hehe". Zatanna laughed as she looked at his silly antics.

"So what is your reply?" Alex asked as he smiled and sat back down.

"Hmph, it depends on your performance". Zatanna turned her head to the side and said with embarrassment.

"Hehe, let's see my performance then". Alex said as he used his perverted and caught the bird again.

"I'm still sore!" Zatanna cried out.

"Hehe, doesn't matter. You have magic". But there was no escape from the wolf claws.

After a quick hour session in the bath. Both of them came out of the bath with glowing faces and light shoulders.

"Where do you live and what work do you do?" Alex asked as he sat down on the couch in the room.

"I live near here and work as a magician. Though it's not going that great". She said as she had a self deprecating smile.

"What's there to be sad about. At least you earn honest money with hard work". Alex said as he consoled her.

"I will help you advertise your show. Just be ready to shoot a commercial and wait for the call". Alex said as he looked at her with a proud smile.

"Yeah yeah, you are the great Alexander Wayne". Zatanna rolled her eyes as she said in a mocking tone.

"That I am". Alex said proudly without minding her mocking words.

Zatanna was currently treating him more like a friend rather than a couple but that could be worked around. At least the atmosphere between them wasn't tense.

"Thank you". She didn't shy away from the help at all. It's not like he was giving her free money. It was just popularity and she wouldn't mind it.

If it was giving her direct money then she will die but never take the money from him. She has been independent ever since her Father died and nothing will change it.

"Umm Bruce, can you do me a favour?" Alex dialled the phone as he talked to Bruce about what he wanted to be done.

"Alright, get your new 'friend' on the call". Bruce said as he put more emphasis on the word friend.

His tone was playful like he just found out something really amusing. 'Boy, you have been fooling me since we were young. Now see how I handle you'.

Bruce was feeling even more energetic to do the job as he would know how to get one up on Alex. He had plenty of plans already forming in his mind.

Alex gave the phone to Zatanna and she got a bit tense immediately as she knew who Bruce Wayne was. He was the current Chairman of Wayne enterprise and the biggest entrepreneur in Gotham.

They slowly finalised everything and Zatanna had a blossoming smile on her face. She was extremely pleased.

"So what deal did you get?" Alex asked as he sat down beside her.

Zatanna didn't move away but she was keeping straight to not touch their bodies together.

"He said that we can make a show. Where I can display my Magician skills and shooting can happen in Gotham as well". Zatanna said as she relaxed the more she talked about it.

"Well Wayne entertainment does have some good equipment and directors with all the talented staff. So it shouldn't be a big deal". Alex nodded as he listened to her words.

"Now I deserve a reward right". Alex smiled mischievously at her.

"What do you want?" Zatanna said as she gave him the side eye.

"Nothing much, just a good kiss will do the work". He said and looked into her eyes.

Zatanna closed her eyes as she leaned over to him. Alex didn't let the chance go and immediately caught her as they started kissing fervently on the sofa.

"Alright, I will pay for a couple more days and I have gotten your contact details and address. So we will meet again and you can also contact me anytime". Alex said as he prepared to leave. Zatanna also nodded her head in understanding.
