45. Reunion
"What!" Martha exclaimed and stood up suddenly.
"How old are you now?" Martha shook Alex by his shoulders while she asked him in a flustered manner.
"Hehe, I am finally 18". Alex laughed sheepishly while speaking
"What! 18! How long have we been away?!" Martha wasn't able to calm down at all.
"15 years". Alex said with a heavy voice.
"So long huh". Martha sighed dejectedly and sat down on the ground.
Thomas quickly supported her from behind while he patted her back. Martha was looking at the ground with her hands shaking from sadness.
"Let me tell you something great". Alex said, he tried to cheer up both of them.
"I have very beautiful Girlfriends". His voice was cheerful and light. He looked at them with a smile.
"You just said Girlfriends with a plural s right". Martha squinted her eyes at him and scrutinised his words.
"Yeah, they know each other and have a great relationship". Alex nodded his head without being intimidated.
"You playboy, how did it come to this?" Martha sighed while she looked at Alex helplessly.
"Mom, don't jump the gun. They are nice girls and know each other. So don't be like this". Alex said, he smiled at them even more happily.
"Alright, we'll know after we meet them anyway". Thomas mediated, he proposed and Martha nodded her head.
"I want to give Bruce a surprise. So we will only let you out just as he appears for my Birthday". Alex said and he gave them a cheeky smile.
"Okay. We will just stay and explore this place. It is peaceful here anyway". Thomas and Martha nodded and smiled.
Alex left the Avalon. He went and transported some and clothing for them inside Avalon. He was dead tired.
Healing them in a very short time took a toll on him mentally and he needed to sleep. He had just come back with Bruce and now this totally tired him out mentally.
After finishing that, he went and slept with the girls on the bed. He was just waiting for the morning now.
In the Morning, he woke up with four girls clinging all over him like octopuses. They were holding his arms and legs while sleeping soundly.
Alex woke up and yawned while shaking his limbs to wake the rest of them up. All the girls whined and woke up with groggy eyes.
"Happy Birthday". All of them cheered and they greeted him with a smile.
"Thanks guys". Alex said and he smiled at them.
"Let's go down and have some breakfast". Alex got up. They freshened up and prepared to head down for Breakfast.
The girls had some spare clothes in his room. Heck, half his cupboard was filled with their clothes.
After they got ready. They headed down with cheerful smiles and laughter. Everything was quiet down there.
Alex could know with his Haki that someone was down there. Two people actually and Hancock was only able to perceive one person.
As soon as they stepped down, a loud cheer came into their ears. "Happy Birthday!" It was Alfred and Bruce. Who cheered him loudly.
"Thank you Alfred, Bruce". Alex smiled and hugged them with a happy smile on his face.
"Master Alex, we have a cake and your favourite food". Alfred said while he took them to the dining table.
"And I have a surprise for both of you". Alex said and two people suddenly appeared in the room.
At first, Bruce and Alfred were a bit alert but then they were astonished when they saw the people in front of them.
Bruce was dumbfounded and just stood there like a statue without moving a single muscle. He couldn't believe his eyes.
His hands started shaking. He stepped forward with unsteady steps. He got close to them and Martha embraced him first with emotional eyes.
Thomas wasn't any better and they both embraced him tightly. They were sad and happy at the same time.
Sad for having been away from their children for so long and Happy that they were finally together again.
"Mom, Dad". Bruce's voice was cracking. His masterful control over his emotions wasn't working anymore and it was nowhere to be seen.
Alex was also emotional watching this scene. He stepped forward and embraced them as well. He wanted a piece of the pie.
The girls wisely stayed quiet and didn't say anything in the family's reunion after so long. They were also happy for him.
Alfred was still dumbstruck. He was feeling very emotional as well. He stepped forward because he wanted to share the hug as well but he didn't.
Alex saw it and forcefully him into the hug as well. Alfred couldn't even refuse because Alex did it strongly. So they all hugged like that for a while before separating.
Martha cleaned her tears as Thomas just cleaned them with his sleeves. Her makeup was ruined but her face and smile were still beautiful.
"How are you Bruce?" Martha asked while she touched Bruce's face tenderly.
"I have been tired Mom". Bruce answered honestly. he held her hand to his cheek.
"Don't worry, we are here now". Martha said, she smiled at Bruce to console him.
Bruce wiped his tears and smiled as well. The atmosphere was finally a bit more cheerful now than before.
"And you girls must be this guy's Girlfriends". Martha turned to the girls. She took Selena and Pamela's hands and smiled at all of them.
"Hello Mom". All of them said like they had practiced it like a carol.
Martha smiled at them feeling extremely pleased at the way they called her. Thomas was also pleased, he looked at their demeanour and observed them. He could tell that they were not some cheap girls.
"You guys have to make sure to take care of this Playboy". Martha said and gave Alex the side eye.
"We will". The girls replied happily. they had wide smiles on their faces.
"What about you Bruce? We want to see a Girlfriend from you too". Martha then threw the hat to Bruce and asked.
"Don't worry Mom, you will". Bruce replied back with a smile.
"Now let's celebrate my Birthday and forget about the sadness". Alex clapped his hands and interrupted them.
All of them nodded and decided to celebrate the Birthday first.
