Son Goku is Not Satisfied with Strength Alone

A lone figure sat on a grass field with pink and green skies stretched endlessly over the horizon. 

The wind blows, as the grass softly rattles in response to the wind. A gigantic red tree can be seen in the center of this gran realm.

Under this tree, a person can be seen.

The person's iconic palm tree-like hair followed the blowing of the wind. A long look can be seen on his face, pondering deeply about something.

Son Goku was the name of this person, a Saiyan Warrior whose goal was once to keep getting stronger and break through all of his limits.

And he, who has done exactly that.

It has been more than ten millennia since the tournament of power ended, where his journey in search of true strength had come to an end.

His journey after it, well it was quite troublesome.

A Saiyan whose potential was far beyond that of Goku or Vegeta and could even match for a while against Beerus the God of Destruction.

An evil God who was able to seal many powers, including the Super Saiyan transformations. And even the Ultra Instinct Omen.

Another Android whose main objective was to all the powerful fighters of the universe into candy, all so she could eat them and obtain their power.

The reincarnation of Majin Buu; "Uub," becomes a disciple of Goku to protect the Earth.

The new warriors from unknown universes and the newly revived universes whose powers were a threat to the whole multiverse.

Then a time patroller's mistake of ending up distorting space and time in every part of the world timelines, causing different versions of known warriors to appear out of nowhere.

He even met his counterpart who was called Xeno Goku. He shakes his head, thinking of all the fights he has had with his counterpart.

Then came one of the darker periods in his life, where unknown primordials and outer gods, aside from Zeno and Zalma, wreaked havoc all over his multiverse.

It was also in this war where heaven was destroyed and his dead wife Chi...., his wife Chi Chi, and a lot of his friends were all erased and consumed by one of those outer gods.

When he found out that was when he went crazy and berserk, he tracked down the outer god and nearly destroyed him from existence and almost all of the other outer gods as well.

He even ate a few of them as well, which did some things to him. But in the end, the results were worth it all.

It was this fight where he earned the name and moniker, " The Seraphim!" He quite liked it, so he kept it.

But back to his train of thought, some of the outer gods, and even the one who consumed Chi Chi and his friends got away, all because of a traitor among them.

'YAMCHA!!!'

*CRACK*

*TREMLE*

He thought to himself, as his little escape of emotions nearly destroyed his realm.

But he stopped it, and everything went back to normal.

He swore to himself that he would eventually find Yamcha and the others who escaped from his wrath and then obliterate them all.

But that was for the future and the war has been over for more than three thousand years now.

He passed his job as Earth's protector to Gohan who after some time passed it on to Goten whose generation was quite colorful, to say the least.

His bloodline has continued to protect the earth to this day. Even Vegeta his old buddy's bloodline is helping out as well.

And Vegeta who after that war was appointed the Supreme God of Destruction of all of existence of anything related to the creation of Dragon Ball.

His power is currently tied with the Grand Preist who is second to Zeno. And that says quite a lot. 

As time went on, Goku eventually made his realm of existence. Kind of like Zeno and Zalma. A separate realm that lies beyond the creation of the multiverse of Dragon Ball.

The reason?

Well, because after a while his existence couldn't be held or tolerated in the multiverse of Dragon Ball. A sad thought as he could only watch what happened in his previous home.

No one besides him and the people whom he gives permission can enter here, without dying first or getting trapped for eternity. Only his Friend Vegeta and his angel attendant Whis, can come and go freely.

As well as his helper, The creator of all the Kai's of existence, Yovanna!

She is a special existence who was born around the time Zeno and Zalma were making everything. She was amazed by their power and decided to do create things as well.

When she met them, they were shocked, as she came out of nowhere and after agreeing with them about her role, she joined the creation of Dragon Ball.

So, all of the Kai's were made from her power over time, space, reality, and even magic. 

When Goku first met her, it was around two hundred years after the war with the outer gods and other primordials.

He was in a dark place, and she just came out of nowhere and just kept pestering him about how strong he was. 

He was annoyed by her, but he never attacked or tried to kill her either. As he is not an evil or a mean person.

So, after a few hundred years of her always with him, he got used to her existence and eventually, she got him to smile again.

Quite a crazy thing to as no one could. Not even his own family, that was how hard the war hit him.

Plus, she was quite powerful herself, almost on the same level as Zeno and Zalma. He even got the idea of making his realm from her.

So, all in all, she was quite the bright and shining star in his soul. And she was very beautiful as well so that helped. 

Then out of nowhere, like she somehow knew he kind of liked her. She designated herself his attendant. Like the angel does with the gods of destruction.

And so, after all that, all he could do was train and train. So here we are now four thousand years later, and he has reached a level now where he doesn't even feel the need to train!

Crazy! So, all that was left was him bored and blankly wondering about his realm.

There was nothing more for him...

"What should I do now?" Goku suddenly asked himself a question he didn't even have the answer to.

Sitting cross-legged while staring at the now golden orange skies, Goku ponders. He had achieved everything he ever wanted, becoming the strongest but it left him with nothing more to accomplish.

Besides that, whole Yamcha thing. It will come ahead in due time one day, he knows. He wasn't worried at all if they even got stronger. It would just make destroying them, all the sweeter. 

Goku shook his head, and then the thought of how he really kind of left Chi Chi alone with his kids a lot of the time. Granted he needed to train to protect everyone.

But he could have spent more time with his family. And his wife didn't even complain much when he did leave to train. She was a great woman.

These thoughts upset him for a bit, but then he thought,' What is done is done.' 'I can't change it, but I can be better moving forward.'

"Maybe...." Goku frowns, "...I made the wrong choice." Feeling quite upset with himself, Goku just lets out a sigh and calms down. "I should take a rest."

Just as Goku lies back on the grass, a familiar pillar of light strikes down on the grass field of his realm.

Goku sits up and immediately recognizes the energy signature or more specifically the Omni Divine Ki. As the pillar of light shrinks and dissipates, Vegeta stands there in his God of Destruction attire along with Whis who is in front of him.

"Hey, Vegeta!" Goku grinned, as he stood up and went towards them both. "Long time no see buddy!"

Vegeta smiled at the sight of his old rival and gave a nod of acknowledgment, "Likewise, Kakarot."

"So, what's up?" Goku asks, a bit confused at Vegeta and Whis' sudden appearance they're always busy. "Did you come all the way here to train with me?"

The God of Destruction smirked, "Always the free-spirited one huh?" That smirk however faded and was replaced by a serious expression. Vegeta shook his head, "No, I am afraid it is more serious than that Kakarot."

Goku stopped in front of them, eyes full of confusion, "Then whaddya come here for?"

Vegeta sighs, The Primordial ones have asked for your audience, Kakarot." It seems as though there is more to this manner, and Goku realizes it.

"We are here to escort you to the Grand Priest who will teleport you to them." "What do they want now?" Goku asked but quickly shoved it off, there surely is a good reason for this. So, he just nodded to Vegeta.

"Whis," Vegeta ordered.

Whis merely gave a nod, "Hai."

"Kakarot, you know the drill."

Goku walks to Vegeta and along with him, they placed their palms on Whis' back. Immediately, their surroundings were shrouded in white, and they flung out of the universe and flew through the void for a few minutes.

Eventually, the arrived at Zen'Oh's Domain entrance. Once they did arrive, Goku could see the Grand Priest waiting with quite a look on his face. Goku couldn't describe it, was it nervousness? Fright? Uncertainty? Anger?

Goku didn't know.

And he wouldn't impose it.

He stood there and gave his usual greeting with a simple wave and his saying, "Yo, grand priest!" Usually, Goku would be criticized for his behavior but ever since he defeated and surpassed the primordial ones, no one minded his casual remarks.

"I wonder what they want, do you have any idea?" He asked but the Grand Priest shook his head.

" I don't know you will have to ask them." The Grand Priest replied before he prepared himself. " Let us depart, Son Goku-San." We mustn't make them wait."

"Alright don't be so hasty, they won't mind." Goku shrugged as he spoke. The Grand Priest's left eye just twitched, with him wondering how a man of such power status acts.

The Goku flew over to him and landed behind him like he did Whis earlier. "Well, let's go see my old sparring partners." He said joyfully.

However, before they could depart, Vegeta called out to him. "Kakarot."

"Hm?" Goku turned his face to Vegeta, arching his left brow. "What is it, Vegeta? Goku asked tilting his head to the side.

"....be good, old friend," Vegeta said.

Goku gave him that dumfounded-blinking-eyes-face before grinning and giving Vegeta a thumbs up, "Will do old buddy! HeHe."

Then turning back around he put his hand on the Grand Preist's back and said, "Let's go, Grand Priest!" Said person nodded in response.

After that Goku and the Grand Preist fazed out of sight, blinking into nothingness. Silence came as they disappeared, accompanied by the howls of the Void outside Zeno's domain.

Vegeta stood quiet and just stared at the spot where Goku and the Grand Preist were, seemingly thinking about something.

Whis, who's been silent all this time, spoke up. " Are you sure about this?" he asked, getting the attention of Vegeta. " He didn't even know, and we won't be sure he'll come back."

Vegeta was silent, still staring at the same position before he closed his eyes and said, "Yes."

Whis hums in interest, it was always interesting how Goku and Vegeta interacted during the long years they have been alive.

"May I ask why, Vegeta-Sama?" Whis addressed him in a very polite manner to which even Vegeta still wasn't used to.

"Vegeta" and not Vegeta-Sama." But it was a very valid question. As no one knows what going to happen besides him, and Whis.

One of the Primordial Ones told him about it, and he even agreed to it as well. 

"Kakarot needs another reason to live," Vegeta answered in a calm tone. "Unlike me, he has nothing else to live for."

"I still have Bulla and Trunks, knowing they still live eases me." " But Kakarot.... he has no family left other than his descendants, not Gohan, Goten, Pan, or anyone else, and I'm sure that won't make him at ease like it does me."

Vegeta opens his eyes and smiles, but not the cocky smile he usually adorns. But an actual genuine smile. " I know he isn't satisfied with how his life is." "Even if we did tell him, he would still go either way, so it doesn't make much difference."

Whis was surprised at his consideration, something he had never seen in him. Not even when he was still a mortal.

"I see...." Whis muttered to himself.

" Besides he deserves it." Vegeta turns and looks at Whis, "His life has been rough, and I owe him much more than he owed me." "This is the least I could do for him."

"Hmm..." Whis hums in interest, "You're so much different now compared to when you destroyed planets and galaxies."

Vegeta scoffs," That's a job, I won't let my feelings get in the way."

"And yet Earth still stands." Whis teases, forcing him to realize his softness towards certain things.

"Tch." Vegeta clicks his tongue in annoyance, completely getting himself cornered. "Let's just go."

Very well, Vegeta-Sama." Whis chuckled.

"We have nothing to worry about, he can take care of himself. This is Kakarot we are talking about." Vegeta said seriously.

Whis also put on a semi-serious face as he said, "Indeed." He thought about when he once taught him and Goku together. Then he muttered, " He has come a long way, rising to a level of exitance and horizon I could never see."

Vegeta hearing this stopped momentarily, thinking about what Goku had become and how he could only go with them with just an avatar. Goku needed something other to live for, then just fighting and getting stronger.

He may not be the greatest person around or would have even admired but he was a good person and he deserved more than what he had now.

Shaking his head from those thoughts Vegeta smiled once more and gave his good wishes: 'Live a proper good life, old friend. I'm sure you'll find it there.'

{Primordial Nexus Throne Room}

Arriving in what seemed to be a throne room with three thrones in total, Goku smiles at the sight of a familiar place. It has been a long time since he has visited the lair of the Primordial Ones.

He used to visit this place quite often, mainly due to his desire to train, surpass and fight them. That was more than a few hundred years ago and now.... they all seemed weaker.

He guessed that this was the cons of being too strong.

"Son Goku-San, it's up to you now. I'll be taking my leave now." The Grand Priest said and then he disappeared into thin air, leaving Goku alone in a hurry.

Goku didn't know why but the Angels with the exception of Whis are always in such a hurry to leave when it comes to the Primordial ones.

Goku shrugs and walked forward, "Yo guys! It been a while since we last meet, eh?" Goku asked.

Sitting on the thrones were beings of great power, such power that they couldn't exist in their own creation. Unless they made an avatar.

And the only one that made an avatar was Zeno. Who in his real self-looked like a purple humanoid, with pitch black eyes and star like pupils that changed based on his desire. His body had glowing motes of different colored light. And on his head was an upside-down white triangle.

Next to him on his left was the Dragon God Zalma, who looked like a simple Namekion. And the only difference was that he had purely reddish eyes that looked like a bloody red, black hole. He wore a simple whit cloak and had brown staff with a blue gem on it.

And on the other side of Zeno was the Origin Kai Yovanna! She had greenish almost white skin tone, long pitch black and white hair that based on her feelings would change into anything.

She wore a golden dress that only covered her breast and from her stomach on down to her legs. Her hands looked as if they were covered in golden dust. 

She was so beautiful, that she only allowed Goku to see what she really looked like, but to other people all they saw a humanoid star woman, that had clusters of stars all over her body. That was what Zeno and Zalma could even now as they saw Goku in front of them.

She had a smile on her face as she kept staring at Goku, making him smile to her in return.

"Son Goku, it has been a while since we have last met." Zeno said breaking the silence.

"HeHe, thanks for inviting me Zeno, really missed seeing you guys," Goku said, Making Yovanna smile even wider.

"You've always been such a sight for Goku," the affectionate voice of Yovanna echoed out, making Goku scratch the back of his head in embarrassment.

"Mhmmm, can we get back on topic as to why I invited him here." Zeno said trying to bring both people attention back to him and off of each other.

"Right, right, sorry Zenny!" Yovanna laughed out, making Zeno and even Zalma, pop a nonexistent vein on their forehead.

Zalma trying to change the subject even said, "It would seem like you have grown even more since we last met, Son Goku."

Goku rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment says, " Pretty much! Never miss an opportunity to train and get stronger!" Zalma's eyes squint a bit as Goku crosses his arms across his chest, " So, whaddya call me for? Vegeta and Whis seemed like it was pretty serious."

"Vegeta....the one with power second to us, right?" Goku nodded, " I see. Very well let's get down to the matter at hand." Zeno said seriously and the entire atmosphere turn serious.

Feeling the change in the atmosphere an seeing even Yovanna frowning, Goku frowned was well seeing that this must be something important. Guess he had to take this one serious as well.

"Alright. If its within my power of course I'll help." Goku replied seriously, sending shivers into the three of them. Tho, the shiver from Yovanna was an entirely different thing entirely.

"Oh, it's well within your power." Zeno said in a matter-of-fact tone of voice. " You see, a certain... God of Life from our creation has been killed for unknown reasons in a certain universe outside of your multiverse.

Goku frowned at this, as most Gods of life from what he knew were passive and never really fought. They usually healed things and people. They were mainly pretty good people.

So, hearing this kind of ticked him off.

"We ask of you to go and investigate what happened." Zeno said, catching Goku by surprise.

"Wait, what?" Goku blinks dumfounded at this. "You want me to investigate this?" He asked unsure.

Zeno nodded, " Yes, that is correct Son Goku." " In that place it has been more than a million years since, and the location is quite far from here."" We want to know the reason why he died and the person behind it."

"I see..."Goku nodded, before he gave them a warning. "You guys have to know, I'm not really good at investigating things."

Zalma gave a warm smile and relied, "We know Goku, but your power will set off waves, and people will want to investigate who you are." "This something you are more than well equipped to do."

Goku rubbed the back of his head again, unsure but decided to trust them anyway." Ok I'll go for you guys," he said.

"Great," Zeno said. "Who knows maybe you will find something there that you may enjoy.... or needed." "Even lighten up your heart as well." Zalma spoke sincerely.

That kind of struck a chord in Goku, as he has been feeling lost for quite some time as well. 

"So, Yovanna.... at strong request will take you there." Zeno said rolling his eyes from seeing her grin like a mad man.

"Ok then..." Goku turned and said to her, "I'll see you in my realm then Yovanna!"

See you soon Goku!" She said sending a wink his way.

Goku chuckling, shakes his head at her. Then he fades out of the room, going back to his realm.

Then it was silent in the room, until Yovanna got up and her previous joyful face from earlier disappeared and she said to the both of them, " Glad you guys agreed to my plan."

Zeno just looked at her and said, "He is a good person and a friend of course I would help him."

Zalma just nods in agreement.

Yovanna then blinks out of existence and began heading to her and Goku home. That is what she calls it.

Seeing that she left the last to Primordial ones shivered, "What a crazy women and terrifying woman." Zeno said.

"Yes, I even think she has grown a bit stronger than even us, seeing as how she made this whole plan to get Goku to leave his realm and go with her on what she calls a love adventure." Zalma spoke.

"Besides we already knew that god had died and what caused it, what a scary woman," Zeno said.

Shivering again both primordial ones then get up and with the same thought on their mind to never ever cross that woman. Then they also fade out of existence.

{Kamei Sacred Realm} 

Back in his own realm, Goku began meditating while waiting for Yavonna to arrive. He was floating surrounded in a multi colorful orb of Ki.

The peaceful quietness and the wind blowing casted a wonderful scenery. And after about an hour, Goku sensed her arrival.

He got up and began flying to where she always lands when she visits. As he flew, he began wondering what this trip will have in store for him and his life.

And so, Goku begins to go on another adventure, not for power or for training to find even more strength.

But to find something more than just strength and power. To find something worth Living for again.
