Bring Them Down

"We need to defeat these three before the other three arrives." Vine shouted out. Using Azure Gaze with his daggers, he tried to find a path to attack the giant's weakness but he couldn't see any path to attack. Using his Azure Gaze without enchanting the weapons, he scanned the giants to find out their weakness.

"Their eyes. We must attack their eyes!" The weakness of the magma giants were clear to his Azure Gaze, the two eye cores that were creating a problem for them.

When the knights learned about their weakness, they began to formulate a plan to attack the eyes of the magma giants. To reach the eyes, they must first bring the towering giants down to their knees.

They began to target the weak areas without armor in the legs, especially the back of the knees and the Achilles heel. Bombarding those areas with their <Arcane >, the Night Flame Ball and the Night Flame Wave, they weakened the balance of one giant.

Feeling it's balance being skewed, the magma giant raised it's hand in anger.

"AAAAGGH"

The knights heard a vicious cry before the giant struck it's fist on the ground.

BOOOOM

The ground shook from the impact, making the knights who were close to the giant fly away because of the pressure. The windows of the buildings also shattered one after the other due to the impact and the ground started cracking.

The knights who were really close to the giant died in the attack, and only some of the knights who flew away survived. Without the time to mourn their fallen brothers, the knights charged towards the giant who was slow to recover from attacking.

The knights hurled their <Arcane > towards the giants once again, and this time, Vine dashed towards the back of the giants foot and began attacking the Achilles heel with his enchanted twin daggers, Fame and Infamy. Enchanting his dagger with Azure Gaze, he struck the weak spots precisely. Once he was accustomed to the weak spots, he enchanted the daggers with Night Flame Ball and struck mercilessly.

BOOM BOOM BOOM

Each time he struck his blade, the Achilles heel of the giant exploded, causing tremendous damage. Once he felt like he did enough damage, he backed away quickly.

"Back!!" He cried out, alerting his knights. Following his order, the knights backed away from the giant too, creating good distance.

BOOM

The fist of the giant came down once again, causing tremendous damage to the environment. But this time, the knights were relatively safe as they created distance in time. While the giant was recovering, Vine and the knights began their attacks once more.

On the other side of the battlefield, Marshall Buck was using a similar tactic to Vine. He ordered his knights to back away from time to time, saving them from the vicious attacks of the giant.

The only difference between how Vine and Marshall Buck were attacking were their methods. Vine attacked the giants cautiously, backing away in time before the giant's next attack. But as for Marshall Buck, he had climbed on to the back of the giants knee. Grabbing a part of the giant's leg with his left hand, he viciously attacked the back of the giant's knee with his right gauntlet, his arm glowing in deep blue light, along with the gauntlet. Each attack of his did tremendous damage to the giant, and so it was close to bending on it's knee.

The last giant also suffered from attacks of the knights. Using the tactics from before, the knights attacked the giant in turns. One group distracted the giant from the front while the other group attacked from behind. Following Vine and Marshall Buck's lead, Anson also directly attacked the giant in it's Achilles heel.

Enchanting his relic weapon, Erudition, with Night Flame Ball, he thrust the sword on to the giant's heel, creating massive explosions, even bigger than the ones Vine was causing with his enchanted daggers. Each time Anson thrust his weapon, the words on Erudition glowed and shook, creating the big explosions.

When they felt like the giant was turning around to attack Anson, the knights behind Anson would quickly cast Night Flame Wave and help Anson escape to the back of some buildings. Then, after the giant turned, the other knights would attack it while Anson's group distracted it.

Attacking like this without fearing the giants was only possible because of Anson and his <Arcane >, Serene Night.

Serene Night was a buff type <Arcane > which boosted the strength and morale of the knights during battle. Using it in this case helped them significantly lower the pressure dealt by the giants, which was the only reason they could move without any worries.

Because of this <Arcane > Anson was a commander fit to lead the knights during large-scale battles. After a knight becomes a commander, they are given access to more <Arcane > that they can learn like this Serene Night that Anson was using. As for the knights and Night Leaders, they were only given access to basic <Arcanes > according to their designated groups. Knights who joined stealth groups were taught <Arcane > such as Night Cloak, Support knights were taught healing <Arcane > and normally, all knights had access to other basic <Arcane > such as the Night Flame Ball, Night Flame Wave and Azure Gaze.

But even though they were buffed by the <Arcane >, the knights were still dying or getting injured from the attacks of the giants. The giants attacked them by shooting them with shards of their ash armor. Or they would strike the ground and the knights. Sometimes, they would even sweep kick the knights, which caused a lot of casualties.

The giants also attacked knights in the distance by spitting magma at them. Also, some unlucky knights would directly be hit by the magma that was falling from the bodies of the giants. The attacks went on for a while, after which, a giant finally crashed down on it's knees. The one who crashed down was the giant being attacked by Marshall Buck's group.
