With a bear cub seen nearby, Feng threw the 'fishing line' out as the bear cub approaches the fish; he carefully ensured a small distance is maintained between the cub and the fish.

Just like fishing, except to never allow the fish to hook on, Feng slowly lured the bear over.

"go", Feng whispered as soon as the bear is near enough.

Taking his cue, Hu Wei jumped down from the tree heading straight for the bear with his metal knuckle equipped over his fists.

Using the fall's acceleration, Hu Wei, who is in the early stages of body refinement, controlled his body enough to ensure the kinetic energy is transferred to the impact on the bear as his punch connects to the head of the bear before his feet touch the ground.

As Feng looks on from above, he was shocked by the damage that appeared.

Hu Wei 90 attack and 94 strength stats are indeed overpowering! Compared to Hu Wei, Feng's 10 attack and 28 strength is a joke! Feeling dismayed as he jumps down, Feng landed a slash with his sword on the bear as he peppered sprayed the bear on its snout.

Feng's eye twitches as he sees the damage he dealt out compared to Hu Wei. Hu Wei, however, did not seem to notice the low damage dealt by Feng as he mounts the back of the bear cub and rain down the blows on its snout.

Orange (Heavy Damage) figures start to show above the bear, with each punch taking around 30-40 HP from the bear and increasing as they stack. Occasionally, Red damage (critical) to deal 60-80 damage per hit.

Feng stood below as he swung his sword at the bear's throat as the mostly yellow figure appears (Normal damage) with the occasional red, which didn't seem to boost the damage figure much.

Even with his slightly faster reflexes, thanks to his higher agility, the gap in damage between the 2 of them were wide.

With 5 seconds, on Feng estimation, Hu Wei had dealt around 180 damage to the cub while he had probably contributed around 30 damage.

Shaking his head, he prepares a second shot of pepper spray.

Of course, the game is not as easy as using a bottle of pepper spray to own the mob. In most cases, the 2nd spray would have lowered incapacitated timing. Gaining immunity is usually on the 2nd spray, but in some cases, the monster might gain it after the first time of use.

Within that 3 seconds, they manage to shave off another 150 Hp off the cub, mostly thanks to Hu Wei pummel skill which allows his damage to increase damage by 1% more per punch if it lands on the same location as the last punch.

"GROWL!" The bear cubs shows its fang as it recovers, but before it could enjoy a second of freedom, Hu Wei landed the final punch to take out the remaining 40HP.

'not bad! 5% shaved off with each kill!' Feng thought as he picks up the loot of bear fur and silvers, this will be faster than I thought, primarily thanks to Hu Wei and his overpower damages. I hope he just doesn't do something foolish.'

"This is easier than I thought!" Hu Wei exclaimed as he scoffs. Turning his head, Hu Wei eyed a larger size bear as he prepares to take off.

"NO!" Feng shouted as he reads Hu Wei thoughts. However, the shout instead attracts the attention of the larger sized bear.

"Crap. Climb faster climb." Feng urges Hu Wei as he begins to ascend the tree by climbing using his Qing gong, leaving the rope for Hu Wei.

Lucky enough for them, by the time the charging bear reaches below the tree, they are already safe on the branch.

"Why don't we fight the bear?" Hu Wei asked as he stared wide eye at Feng. The fight earlier had been easy peasy.

Without answering, Feng took out a stone from his storage bag as he throws it down towards the bear.

Description: A not so adorable bear. Its snout salivates most of the time due to its large sharp teeth. The claws provide additional attack damage, and its thick skin and muscles offer extra defence.

"Assuming the pepper spray buys us the same 8 seconds, with its tougher defence, we would be lucky to shave 400 hp off that bear. Assuming there is no change in the bear stats or attack at 50% HP and 10% HP, we still need to fight for at least 8 seconds. With 1 swipe, I might survive, but you will probably spawn back in town." Feng explained to Hu Wei.

"hmm..." Hu Wei considered the words of Feng for a moment.

"and I will lose a level?" Hu Wei asked.

"Yes," Feng replied.

"Nothing else?" Hu Wei continued.

Not liking how the conversation is going, Feng squints his eyes at Hu Wei.

"HahAha..." Hu Wei laughs off as he realises how Feng is beginning to know what he is thinking just from a few questions.

"Don't worry. I won't..." Before he could finish his words, his feet slip while he raised his hands to protest his innocence... "oops..."

Feng reacted quickly. Lurching forward, his hands shot out to grab Hu Wei as he falls flat on the branch, barely managing to hold onto Hu Wei right hand.

Crack...

However, the impact of his body falling on the branch and the impact when he caught Hu Wei caused a crack on the branch.

Crack....crack...

"No choice, let's fight," Feng said as Hu Wei nods below while looking up at him.

Letting go of Hu Wei's hand as he prepares to jump down, Feng swore he heard the word finally being murmured by Hu Wei!

Jumping down after Hu Wei, they followed the same steps as they had done before on the bear cub. As expected, after 2 shots of pepper spray, the adult-sized bear still has half of its HP left.

Hu Wei stares at the bear as he could barely contain his excitement of fighting for real this time.

On the other hand, Feng was considering the situation as his mind churns at its fastest speed possible, but no matter how he could not think of a way to make the fight a little easier.

GROWL~

A loud growl echoes out as the irritated bear stands up on its 2 feet. Falling back down on its 4 legs, its front claws came swinging down as a reminder to the 2 of its might.

Hu Wei slowly gulps down his saliva as his mouth felt dry while facing the bear that is a whole 4 level above him.

As the bear charges at him, it swings its claws across his body. Unknown to Hu Wei, his reaction was a split second slower than usual because of how tense he is feeling right now. As a result, the bear manages to graze across him.

"HOLY SHIT! A GRAZE TOOK AWAY 80 OUT OF MY 120 HP." Hu Wei, shocked by the damage, shouted out towards Feng as he hurriedly retreated while taking out an HP recovery potion to drink.

Even with the potion, he would not sustain another graze on him since he only has 60 HP left.

His head turns to look at Feng instinctively as he hopes for him to come up with something. However, this time even Feng is at a loss on how to counter the situation.

With his defence and experience, he could dodge and even if hit, he could probably hold out on the damage dealt by the grizzly bear. Still, with his limited damage, how many hours would this battle drag.

However, Hu Wei now would perish with another hit. As such, he did not have much time to hesitate as he hurriedly rushes over to cover Hu Wei from the bears' attack.
