Entering the Alchemy Association

"Now that you have been blessed with higher talent, your future cultivation path will be much easier than ever. Breaking through into the Third Great Realm, the Elementary Realm, will be as simple as merely drinking water."

"I won't talk about the matter of loyalty, because I know that every one of you is definitely loyal to me. As for how I knew, there is no need to ask of that. The next thing is regarding our future plans, as well as the Fierce Tiger Gang. The Fierce Tiger Gang is now abolished, but we can use its name as an alias for our movements."

"What I want all of you to do, is to cultivate, break through, fight monsters, and become stronger. And with your improved strength, find suitable people to join our…Fierce Tiger Gang. I hope that the Fierce Tiger Gang will completely change after a month."

Long Chen swept his gaze around his subordinates with an imposing air as he commanded.

His subordinate's expressions changed when they heard his last words, because it implied that he won't be with them.

Where was Long Chen going to go then?

They all curiously wondered within their minds.

And then, since the System had guaranteed that these people would not betray him, he could do as he pleased, and reveal his identity.

He took out his disguise, and reverted back into his youthful 13 year old face.

And this change had completely stupefied his subordinates for a whole 5 seconds, their eyes widened to the point of bursting, and their minds frozen with shock.

"My name is Long Chen, I am still a youth, a new disciple from the Moonlight Sect." Long Chen calmly responded, evidently not surprised by their reactions.

Meanwhile, Hun Yan and the rest were aghast with surprise. Although they knew that Moonlight Sect disciples all undergo a selection process and are the top of the cream, when did a new disciple become so…strong? Unless, as the rumours that ran on the streets, there was really a Mortal Tier 11 Talent that joined the Sect…

"That's right, I am the Mortal Tier 11 Talent that had joined the Moonlight Sect. But for certain reasons, my Talent can be limitlessly improved, as of my knowledge. And as my subordinates, you are all affected by the Tier of my talent." Long Chen lightly smiled, as he began to vaguely explain.

The expressions of them had inexplicably changed upon his words, especially when they heard the words 'limitlessly improved'. As for as they knew, one's Talent was set the moment you were born. Unless one meets with a heaven defying fortuitous opportunity, they was no other way to improve their talents. And yet, Long Chen was able to do so?

And since he was their master, won't that mean that as his subordinates, they will be able to bask in his glory?

"As my talent increases, so does yours. You do not need to question how this works, because I do not know either. When I make breakthroughs, you will similarly be able to breakthrough." Long Chen walked back and forth as he said.

His subordinates all had an unbelieving gleam within their eyes when they heard his words. This was simply ridiculous and ludicrous, heaven-defying till the point where even the heavens had to submit to it.

Instantly, they all revealed joy and delight, eagerness and anticipation for their future.

They were all mere normal people, who would go live a life of a normal person. Bound to never have any momentous achievements, bound to never have much outstanding experiences.

They knew of this, and accepted it within their hearts. What could they possibly do, with their current level of Talent?

They could only submit to fate.

And now, they saw a spark in their bleak and dull future. Their current talent, which was gifted by Long Chen, could already guarantee them a comfortable and luxurious life.

And being with Long Chen, made them glimpse an unimaginable future that would be full of wonders.

Thinking to this point, they all went down on their knees and as they kowtowed in appreciation, the corners of their eyes misty with gratitude.

"As my subordinates, there is no need to be so polite with me. As long as do the required work, I shall give you the appropriate benefits." Long Chen glanced down at his subordinates and assured.

"Thank you, Young Master!" They echoed in unison, and then stood back up.

Their eyes, when looking towards Long Chen, all contained an impeccable deference and respect, awe and veneration.

"As a Moonlight Sect disciple, I also have my own things to do, so I have to leave you to roam out by yourself. I hope that you would not let me down." Long Chen smilingly said.

"Yes, Young Master!" His subordinates shouted in a resolute tone in reply.

Long Chen glanced around the bloody battlefield, and took a final deep sigh, before he ordered, "Gather all your things and get ready to move."

His subordinates followed behind him his back, while Hun Yan stood in front of the pack of subordinates.

He was of a Lower Subordinate, while the rest were a Lesser Subordinate, and within the marks that was imprinted into their shoulders also contained some knowledge that explained their differences, and they had an innate deference ingrained within their minds when being with another Subordinate that was higher in rank than them.

Hun Yan's mark on his shoulder was tad darker than the rest of them.

After leaving the Wailing Ghost Forest, and entering the city, he told one of his subordinates to sell off the monster corpses to the Monster Hunting Organisation, and meet him in front of the Alchemy Association a while later to pass him the spoils.

He also handed to them a communication jade which he had picked up from the storage bags from the spoils of the battlefield, so that they could better communicate and transmit information.

Lastly, he also informed Hun Yan to go take an Alchemy examination after he himself was done with the test, so that he could also enjoy the benefits of being an Alchemist.

After all this was done, he separated from his subordinates and headed towards the Alchemy Association.

While walking there, he casually pulled up his host panel

His gains were quite plentiful, especially during the battle, where he was able to kill and absorb talent unrestrainedly.

His Cultivation Talent was going to break through to the next tier, and he wondered what would happen after that.

Unknowingly, he appeared in front of the entrance of the Alchemy Association.

There were two guards wearing armoured steel and holding sharp swords who stood at the entrance. Their expressions were indifferent and cold, and gave off a threatening aura to those who passed by.

Long Chen had already disguised himself yet again, and he entered the building under the watchful eyes of the guards.

And the moment he went in, it felt like a completely different world from the outside.

This entire building was wafting with the scent of pills, and as he aroma entered his nose, he felt the fatigue in his body abruptly leaving.

'Pills were really miraculous!' Long Chen thought to himself, and he walked towards the attendant behind the counter, and saw two other people already standing there.

"My disciple, Qing Ran, is here to take the entrance exams for an Alchemist." An elderly man wearing grand robes said to the attendant, his voice not hiding the pride he had.

On his robes, hung a token that was titled, 'Alchemist' and had three lines on it, representing that this man was a Grade 3 Alchemist.

A Grade 3 Alchemist! Within the Wind Cloud City, this was definitely a revered existence.

"Elder Yin! It is a pleasure to have you here. Is this your disciple? Come, I will take you to the examination hall." The attendant could immediately recognize the elderly man. He was an Elder within the Alchemy Association, and is one of the most respected elders within the Alchemy Association too.

It is said that he was about to break through to become a Grade 4 Alchemist! A Grade 4 Alchemist was only second to the leader of the Alchemy Association, who is a Grade 5 Alchemist, and is rumored to be a Peak Grade 5 Alchemist at that!

A little attendant like her could definitely not offend someone of his caliber, which was why she was being so respectful to him.

"I would also like to register for the Grade 1 Alchemy exam." While the attendant was about to lead the girl named Qing Ran to the examination venue, Long Chen quickly walked towards the attendant and spoke in a deep voice befitting of his current appearance.

"Another one?" The attendant paused in her steps as she studied Long Chen. Average looks, middle-aged man. Nothing too special about him.

Just as she was about to reject him and ask him to wait for the next turn, Elder Yin simply waved his arms casually, gesturing for the attendant to take Long Chen along as well.

Such small things did not need to be cared about. Letting Long Chen take the exams along with his disciple won't kill anybody.

It was not as if he had to bother about this. He was a Grade 3 Alchemist, someone who always receives gazes of respect from the people. His state of mind is far more mature than others, and will not concern himself with the acts of thoughtless and petty people.

"Okay. Follow me as well." The attendant, noticing Elder Yin's intentions, nodded her head and led Long Chen and Qing Ran into the examination room.
