21 Alchemy Association

The restaurant she brought them to was called Glory Maple Restaurant. Although the name sounds stupid, however, no one dared to openly say it out.

When they arrived at the Glory Maple Restaurant, he realized that the place looked countless times grander than he had imagined.

It was around 5 stories high, and each stories was layered with a decoration of glittering crystals and beautiful banners.

It gave off an imposing and dignified feeling, with the entirely red-carpeted flooring.

As the trio walked inside, an attendant hurried over to meet them, and quickly found them a seat.

After all, even though the attendant didn't recognize their faces, their bearings and disposition were all unordinary, so they received an enthusiastic welcome.

Sitting down on the chair, Long Chen could finally place down the numerous shopping bags on the floor, as he comfortably slumped down on the chair.

Who said that cultivators could never be tired after mere walking? He would definitely be the first one to come out and slap the person to death.

Being with Xiao Wan Wan, was an absolute torture to his mind, and a test of his limits. She was akin to a bottomless well, brimming with energy. He had already lost count of how many shops they had visited.

And every single time Xiao Wan Wan looked like she was getting tired, and Long Chen's hopes of her stopping quickly emerged. Then, she would see something that she had liked, and immediately returned to her peak state, completely destroying Long Chen's glimmer of hope.

At least, Long Chen did not experience the Devil-like nature that Xiao Wan Wan was rumoured to have. He was even beginning to doubt it. While shopping, she was always quite polite to the store owners, and even showed a warm smile occasionally.

Meanwhile, Xiao Wan Wan, as always, was innocently eyeing the surroundings, her gaze locked on the surrounding customers' food, her eyes brightening with a flash of greed.

"The food in this restaurant is really nice. You are bound to like it!" Xiao Wan Wan said with a tone of certainty, after she wrestled her gaze away from the neighbouring customer's food.

"Do you come here often?" Long Chen mildly asked.

"Of course! I'm a frequent customer here! Even the boss in this restaurant personally knows me!" Xiao Wan Wan raised her small head and said proudly.

After a while of waiting, a delicious scent softly floating into Long Chen's nose, assaulting his senses, and making him feel light-hearted, as well as an intense sense of hunger.

His stomach softly grumbled, as he stared at the various delicacies that were placed on the table.

Long Chen wasn't polite, as he instantly started eating. The mouth-watering flavor burst in his mouth, and he couldn't help but desire for more.

He lifted his head after a while, and the sight he saw completely dumbfounded him.

The once plenty dishes that were on the table a few moments ago, were now completely empty, leaving only the shining dish plates that seemed to mocking him as it shimmered and glittered

He looked towards Murong Xuan, and found her elegantly taking small mouthfuls of food, her posture noble and dignified.

Then he looked towards Xiao Wan Wan, and saw her licking her lips in satisfaction, while on her plate, was a few clear bones where the meat was evidently scrapped off, with the bones themselves looking even larger than Xiao Wan Wan's waist.

The food…looked like it was mercilessly devoured by an ancient beast!

Long Chen swallowed a mouthful of saliva, as he looked up towards Xiao Wan Wan.

Xiao Wan Wan, who sensed his gaze, raised her little head and gave him a happy grin.

"Is the food nice?" She asked while blinking her eyes innocently.

"Yes…yes. It's really good." He replied with some difficulty, giving her a forced smile.

Damn it! You just ate more than 10 full plates of food, while I only ate one, and you are asking me whether the food tasted nice?

Shouldn't I be asking you that question instead?

"That's good. Brother Long Chen, you should eat more..." Xiao Wan Wan began to speak, when she realized that there was no more food left, and gave an awkward laugh while rubbing her little nose.

Long Chen's eyes twitched involuntarily, and then he recalled the purpose of why he had come out for.

Although he had managed to hear some information from the streets and shops, however, it was vague and not very descriptive.

"Wan Wan, do you know what the various powerful organisations within Wind Cloud City are?" Long Chen cleared his throat and asked.

"Hmm…" Xiao Wan Wan thought for a while, before she answered, "There's are three Main Organisations, and four Great Families in Wind Cloud City. The Main Organisations are the Monster Hunting Association, the Trading Chamber Commerce, and the most powerful of all is the Alchemy Association."

"Alchemy Association?" Long Chen asked doubtfully.

"Yes. The Alchemy Association. The Alchemy Association is where all the Alchemists reside in, while Alchemists are the ones who produce pills! Pills are very important in the Cultivation World, as it can not only increase your cultivation speed, it can even heal serious injuries quickly. "Xiao Wan Wan nodded her head.

"However, pills are very hard to make. Which is why all Alchemists has revered statuses, and also great connections with powerful cultivators who rely on them for pills. And the Alchemy Association is precisely where all Alchemists reside in, where they mass produce and sell pills. Mostly everyone relies on them for pills, which is why there are so powerful." Xiao Wan Wan continued saying.

"Even the Four Great Families have to rely on the Alchemy Association for pills to develop their disciples. And if anyone is banned from buying pills from them, their future is basically sealed, and bound never to rise into glory." Xiao Wan Wan added.

"An Alchemist…" Long Chen softly muttered, his eyes flashing with a glint.

If he had learned the art of pill making, and become an Alchemist, won't he have more than enough resources to cultivate with in the future?

This thought kept running through his mind, lighting a spark of desire in his heart.

However, the only issue was, he was not sure if the cultivation talent he had, currently at Mortal Tier 12, could also work for Alchemy.

After all, cultivation and alchemy was two completely different things. Mostly everyone can cultivate, but only a select people had the talent for alchemy.

And most of the time, those who had great talent for cultivation will not possess a single thread of aptitude for alchemy. After all, they could not possibly wish that after possessing high cultivation talent, they would also be so lucky to possess alchemy talent too, right?

This was also the reason why most alchemists were weak in combat strength. Because their talent was in alchemy, not in cultivation.

However, through making use of pills, they would be able to raise their cultivation to a suitable height, although, of course, cultivation boosted by excessive pills had a major disadvantage. They were always unstable and weak, and their real combat strength was far lower than their cultivation

Things increased by external aid could never compare to doing it yourself.

The same logic is applied here.

The only reason why Alchemists were able to survive in this cruel world, was that almost nobody would dare to offend them.

Because disregarding the fact that pills were essential for one's future cultivation path, many powerful individuals will also end up owing a favor to an alchemist when requesting for certain pills, and those who were stupid enough to offend an alchemist, will always end up killed by the various connections an Alchemist possessed.

This, is the terror that an Alchemist brings.
