10 Born to Kill X

"Hah, to kill us all, how arrogant can you be little lass?!" The First Elder, who didn't want to get involved in the Third Elder's issue, finally couldn't bear it and growled out at the words the young woman addressed as Zi Zi had said.

"Hee- I wonder if I'm being arrogant. What do you say, Palace Master?" she asked with inquiry in her eyes.

"…" With her questioning the Palace Master so blatantly, the First and Third Elder were speechless mad while the Second Elder had glued his pair of emerald eyes on her without saying a word.

It was quiet for a moment—no sound was made—not even breathing ones. It was as if everyone was holding their breaths and controlling their heartbeats to hear the Palace Master. And though it wasn't like that as all had their own thoughts, the Second Elder, noticing her change of expression from childish inquiry to a playful smirk, widened his eyes and turned back when a thought came to his mind.

"Palace Master?" he asked when he saw his reddened face; the Palace Master seemed to be struggling.

*Whoosh* The other two elders turned around, "Palace Master?"

"Suuu~"

'*My little Feng Zi, aren't you enjoying this way too much?' As the young woman was watching the scene displayed before her, the careless voice of a woman rang in her head.

'*Hmm… seems to be so,' she replied with her mind.

"Fuuu~"

'*I just wanted to feel what it feels to be the talkative and crazy villain of a movie and… Master, I came to understand why they lose their time… talking useless crap and playing around is rather pleasant…'

'*…'

PAT! She slapped her cheek with the wide part of the blade of her long sword. She was indeed enjoying this too much. Enjoying killing was bad, playing with the ones about to die was bad; she knew it but she couldn't help herself from feeling good, from not caring at all. After all, her deepest of reasoning which made any sense of guilt be non-existent within her knew they didn't care about her life either—her mind was so good in making sense of things for her to feel nothing. Nevertheless, it was also because of it that she hadn't completely given in in her inner desires.
