Several children taught it reasonably to remain sprawled down on the floor and hold on to something.
Flint reached Sarah's side and sat down while keeping a tight grip on the handle.
"You good?" Sarah inquired.
"Yeah…did Ulanni hit her head?" Flint questioned as she stared at the soft puffed rounded slightly red spot at the right side of Ulanni's face.
Sarah turned her head to stare at Ulanni's head. She opened her eyes in shock as the little swelling she had spotted before was now an angry fist-sized sprout.
Sarah stretched her hand to touch it as it looked painful but before she could reach it her hand was stopped by Ulanni.
"What are you doing?" Ulanni asked in disbelief. Was Sarah just seriously attempting to press on her swelling?
"Oh yeah! Silly me…That must hurt." Sarah pushed out as she brought her hands back to curl in her lap.
"Just hold on tight, you wouldn't want to take a hit on that." Flint jutted her chin at Ulanni's swelling.
"Hmmm!" Ulanni bobbled her head as she held the chair handle even tighter.
Back in the driver's cockpit. Kabe skillfully maneuvered the lava openings as he sped off trying to lose chase of the Three Spine Beast.
"Where did it go?" Sage asked in alarm as she looked into its projection and couldn't find the beast.
She peered into the map to look for the blinking red spots for the one that shone brighter.
"I don't understand Kabe, the brightest spot is close to the Mobile but I can't seem to find it in the projection.
"What do you mean?" Kabe questioned without turning to look at her as his muscles flexed and a sheen of sweat layered his exposed skin.
"The damn beast is out of sight!...WAIT!!! It's in the trees!!" Sage screamed as the realization dawned on her.
At her exclamation, there was a loud thud atop the Mussel Mobile. The children all slowly looked up to the ceiling in a union.
"It's on the roof!!" Sage uttered slowly. At the end of her statement and without dallying, Sage let go of the steering she had been gripping tightly the whole time.
Punching a blue button with a white wave line drawn on it that was by her elbow.
Kabe turned to spare her a glance as he noticed what she was doing. " Have we run off the first batch?" Kabe questioned as he turned back to keep his eyes on the path.
"No, I am going to change the ball," Sage answered as she unlocked the strip around her.
"You want to fix in the 'Scarlet'?" Kabe asked in disapproval.
"You know it's for long-ranged attacks and it is too powerful to be used as a close-range by the Musket and it can affect the Mobile" Kabe continued.
"I think the Mobile would be able to take the effect, but we seriously need to get the damn spikey off the top.!" Sage explained as she pushed a small sliding metal door open.
Opening it, a flash of blue light flooded into the driver's cockpit.
Inside the small door were rolls and rolls of neatly arranged cerulean balls in two columns.
The first column, which was on a metal steel cornered bent racks was lined up with blue cerulean balls.
And in the column right underneath the first was also stacked with blue balls, but the difference was that this second set had a red star-shaped element at its core.
The columns stretched underneath where Sage was currently kneeling and out of her sight.
The column with the Blue cerulean balls was gradually popping out from the other angle that Sage faced.
Resounding bangs of the cerulean balls being shot out could still be heard along with the banging and roaring of the monster above the Mussel Mobile as it was being besieged by the blue energy balls.
The cerulean balls did not hurt or leave a scratch on the monster, but only sufficed in annoying and stalling the monster.
Sage crawled to her right side so she could be able to access a brown elemental wheel.
This wheel was what controlled the movement of the balls and which rack would be doing the shooting.
Atop the wheel were small groups of inscribed diagrams. To the right was a red colored ball and beside it was a blue-painted ball.
To the left was a ball without a color as nothing was inserted in its column.
Sage stretched her hand to get a firm grip on the wheel and with a bit of her strength infused with a bit of her mana.
As she pushed the wheel, the columns of blue and slightly red balls in the rack slowly rotated in such a way that the red ball rack now stood atop while the blue ball rack went underneath.
She was able to turn the wheel to the end of her right where the red-balled symbol stood.
The rack which contained the blue cerulean balls was still moving but was shooting out slower than it had previously been going.
Sage slammed hard at the wheel as it pressed down a bit and a clicking sound could be heard.
This action caused the slowly moving blue cerulean balls to completely stop moving.
Then the red cerulean balls slowly moved forward before they shot out with a greater speed than the blue cerulean balls had been firing out.
Weaving itself through the column tunnel which housed the balls it burst out from the nozzle of the Musket.
Sage nodded her head as she heard the explosive sound that came from the red ball connecting to the ground and possibly taking along some creatures with it.
Crawling back up and making her way back up to her chair.
"Done?" Kabe questioned.
"Yeah," Sage answered as she plopped down in her seat and jabbed at the button again for the safety strap to wrap against her again.
It immediately wrapped around her, keeping her firmly in place.
