Sage nodded her head at Flint "Students like you are what I need, I leave them in your care"
"Yes, Black " Flint responded she turned back to face the door and resumed her journey out of the room like in a trance the rest of the children moved and followed her out.
When the room was finally cleared Sage turned to Mother "Clara what the hell have you been doing to these children!? Sage said with anger steeping out of her pores
"I didn't do anything to them" came Mother's frightened voice.
"Nothing you say! Nothing, they look nothing other than shadows of themselves, I doubt they received any primary training with the way they looked so oblivious about the littlest of things, I don't even want to start on how scared they are to follow an order" Sage shouted down at Mother,
"I just did my job, it's not my fault they came out that way you saw how the last set I cultivated was," Mother said with a high pitch trying to sound brave.
"Yeah, that is what I am talking about the last set was a bit bad and you promised Macra to do well next time but I don't see any change in this set, the only change I see is in you maybe if you took your time to do your job well you wouldn't have such difficulty climbing up three flight of stairs" Sage bit out.
"How dare you ..." Mother cried sounding crazed.
"I would be patrolling the grounds before I leave tomorrow and whatever I find out would be reaching Marcra's ears I would personally make sure of that. " Sage said this and made a move to climb down the side stairs of the podium but was stopped by Mother's words.
"You cannot do anything to me or else I would tell them all, I would tell them..." Mother's words were caught off when she felt an invisible chocking pressure holding onto her throat and effectively stopping the passage of air, trying to claw at the thing holding her throat and catching nothing, she was quickly losing strength, and her face was turning blue
In an act of desperation, she channeled all the mana she had to her right hand and pushed it towards the angle she hoped Sage was standing.
She heard a loud bang sound and she tried listening to hear a sound of pain from Sage but she heard none, she was almost losing consciousness.
Then she heard Sage's voice behind her...
"Dear Clara you should not neglect your training you have become weaker. "
Releasing the grip she had on Mother, she made her way down the stairs.
"And Clara you know well I don't like to be threatened, you of all people should know that." She started to walk again but paused as if remembering something "Oh!! and try to eat less, we don't want you exploding now.. that would scare the kids. "
Sage threw the words behind her as she walked out of the building, leaving a flustered Clara with her hands on her throat gasping for air on the ground "You godforsaken wrench... what makes you think you are better than me,"
Mother said huffing and trying to take in greedily as much air as she could.

Trying to get up which took a long time, she finally made her way out of the door to her right.
Ulanni and the rest of the children sheepishly followed Flint till they got to the middle ground of the compound.
Flint stopped, causing the people behind her to halt in their steps Flint turned around to face them all.
"You heard what Black said, "Flint's voice sounded decisive and confident and gained gazes of respect her way.
"The old rules in the compound don't apply to us anymore, we were not allowed to speak once we got to the middle class and most of you are scared, but you all witnessed what happened back there, so I am going to clear one thing out,... we have got the freedom to speak once again, and I hope we all don't disappoint Black, more than we have already done."
"To a new us !!" Flint hollered she was met with silence and reluctant gazes.
"Yes, to a new us !!" someone from the back shouted.
"To a new us !"
"To a new us!!"
Before long every single child was vocalizing those words.
Not far away from the chanting children was seated a dark figure who sat comfortably on a tree branch her posture was not hindered by her skirt due to the mid-length slit running up the side of her left leg.
"As expected a leader star would always shine no matter how hidden it has been"
Sage said while nodding her head in approval.
Yes, the dark figure was no other than Sage she took true to her words and was about to do a patrol of the grounds when she spotted the young girl, Flint, leading them towards the empty ground and she decided to watch what was going to unfold.
