SARAH'S FIGHT AGAIN
Ulanni and Sarah fell into the group of girls who would be washing the food items.
They had waited for the boys to arrive and had picked up bowls to put the food items in before making their way in the direction Sage had pointed out earlier.
The walk towards the stream was mostly awkward with only the sounds of crunching dry leaves as they walked as company.
Ulanni stuck close to Sarah as she kept looking this way and that, trying to take in the whole scenery at once.
Colorful birds were chirping away and squirrels chattering away on the branches of trees nearby.
Flint had stayed back to supervise what was going on back at the Mobile leaving Ulanni and Sarah in the company of the other girls.
It was bustling with activities as Flint watched everything happening without moving to help out, this way she could easily supervise the doings of the children.
"Sarah look in front, two girls to the left." Ulanni hushed Sarah. Well, that was what she thought, when in reality people three steps away could still hear what she said.
Sarah paused and stared at her, before raising her finger to jab at her head. "You can use the mind link," Sarah whispered to Ulanni.
"Yeah! I almost forgot!" Ulanni hushed back through the mind link.
Sarah shook her head, before dragging Ulanni away from the oath if a raised branch that could have caught her leg and caused her to stumble.
"Thanks!" Ulanni weaseled out as she tried to stabilize herself while holding in to Sarah.
"So what were you talking about?" Sarah asked bringing Ulanni's attention back to her earlier conversation.
"Oh yeah…" Before she could speak out, Sarah used her hand to clamp her mouth shut.
"Sorry," Ulanni muttered again, this time remembering to do it through the mind link. She was just that silly to forget things.
"It's the big-nosed girl from back at the compartment, remember?" Ulanni asked as she peered at Sarah's face intently.
"You mean the dog-faced girl from earlier?" Sarah asked as she scrunched her face up in disgust.
"Yeah, yeah, that one" Ulanni said win excitement through the link as she bobbled her head in satisfaction.
"So… what about her?" Sarah asked with her eyebrows cocked up, not exactly getting the reason why Ulanni was getting so worked up.
"She is in our group!" Ulanni said through the mind link as she discreetly pointed in the direction of a cluster of girls with bowls of food items in their hands.
Sarah stretched her hand forward and calmly pushed Ulanni's elevated hand downwards, lest she calls the attention of everyone.
"So, what is there to be happy about?" Sarah said, disinterest coating her voice.
"Remember you guys had an argument back at the compartment?" Ulanni started and gave a dramatic pause.
"So…" Sarah drawled out as she bent down to pick up a palm-sized leaf, sized the leaf, and started plucking at it.
"You can use this opportunity to apologize to her!" Ulanni said sounding genuinely proud of her idea.
Sarah stopped in her track in shock as the leaf in her hand fell from her now unclosed palm as she turned to face Ulanni in astonishment.
"What?!!!" Sarah screeched out loud as she had just heard the most ridiculous thing ever.
Her loud voice made the children in front stop in their tracks and turned around to get a glimpse of what was happening behind.
"What makes you think I want to talk to that dog talk more of apologizing to her!!" Sarah screamed out loud not minding the fact that they now had spectators.
"Sarah…" Ulanni tried calling out to her but it seemed that thought had enraged Sarah and it would not be easy stopping her.
"Just…look at her!!" Sarah spat out in disgust as she pointed in the direction the girl in the topic was standing with her hands akimbo.
"Sarah calm down…" Ulanni tried again as she held on to Sarah's hand and tugged in it.
"Her face disgusts me!!" Sarah screamed again and this seemed to get the attention of the girl, as she stepped forward with her eyes twitching in anger.
"Excuse me blue head, who does your small ego self think you are talking to!" The girl asked threateningly as she moved to step closer to where Sarah was standing.
Sarah saw this and was not one to back down from a challenge also took two steps forward.
"You, dog face!" Sarah spat out with so much disgust that the surrounding girls tried to no avail to stifle their continuous giggling.
This seemed to fuel the big-nosed girl as she screamed at Sarah and rushed forward effectively covering the remaining distance between her and Sarah.
She made to grab a hold of Sarah's hair but was a tad bit slow as Sarah jumped out of her reach.
"Wow! I never knew what it would look like to see a dog fight. But I guess am about to witness it!!" Sarah bit out with laughter lacing her voice and her eyes now narrowed to slant crescents.
Ulanni stood by the sidelines not knowing what to do. Guilt was seating her up as it seems she was the curse of the whole fight.
The bug nosed girl on hearing Sarah's statement, seemed to have made up her mind to mudder this blue-headed annoying pigeon.
She dashed forward to the side again and swung he right hand forward as she hoped to land a hit on Sarah.
But once again Sarah predicted it and jumped to the other side.
By now the other girls had formed a ring around them and we're watching with glints of entertainment in their eyes, with only Ulanni looking worried and wondering what she could do to stop all that was happening.
"Seems you have got slippery hands dog! Why don't you try getting a grip with your jaw? Hahaha"
Sarah kept taunting the agitated girl in a sing-song voice.
