In the morning, the light red shade of the sun is bright and the sunlight is warm and not harsh.
The leaves of the plants were covered with tiny milky droplets of dew and the chipping sounds of the sky monsters could be heard as they performed their early morning dance.
Sage had her legs crossed in front of her as she tapped away on a flat screen in her palm.
"Clink! Clink! Clink, clink!" Like strings, they resounded in the driver's cockpit as Sage kept on tapping at the flat screen.
Kabe flexed his hand and ground his teeth together as he tried to reign in the irritation he felt from the repeated sound the flat screen made.
"Can you just stop that?!!" Kabe let out, as he could not hold the discomfort anymore.
Sage paused for some second to give him a side glance before turning back to keep on tapping on the screen.
"You are supposed to be searching for a suitable place for the Mobile to settle down so the children can take a rest. But here you are playing games on the Slubble."
Kabe lectured as he tried to speak sense into Sage and to stop her from making annoying sounds from the Slubble.
The Slubble is a wireless handheld device that allows its user to make and receive calls without the need for a signal mast, access the web, play games, cameras, track navigation system, and many more advanced abilities.
The Slubble had different grades. The first type of Slubble is the Slubble pie. This can easily be found with normal citizens as it can be easily afforded. And of course, it doesn't come with a lot of features, just the basics.
The second is a Slubble-Meta. This was the advanced form of the Slubble pie and was very expensive to get.
It is popular amongst the elite. The Slubble Meta is still later advanced with grades, with the highest grade as of now being the Slubble-Meta X.
"Ughhh!" Sage let out as she tossed her Slubble Metal to the side and leaned forward to examine the map.
Over the course of the night they had advanced into the Mountain High City.
And as the name stated, the surrounding was covered with high mountains. Jagged and lonesome, it dwarfed other peaks of the mountain chain.
With sharp peaks cutting the fluffy baby blue tint of the cotton sky with its sharp edges.
Radiant light bathed its slopes in the bright luminous light.
"Over there! We should camp now, am going crazy from being trapped in here for a whole day!" Sage said in expiration as she jabbed her finger on point on the map.
Back in the compartment. Ulanni was the first to arise probably because she slept far earlier than the other children.
She felt grogginess that seemed to weigh her down and draw her back to slumber to prevent her from waking up.
But she fought through it and popped her eyes open. She was blinded for a bit by the warm ray of the light that penetrated through the window.
"It's morning?" Ulanni said out loud before she crawled out from Sarah's lap who didn't show any signs of waking up.
She sat up straight and stretched her stiff limbs and brought her hand to rub at her blurry vision.
She let out a yawn as she moved her hand to her head to push away the hair that escaped the bond and was now obstructing her vision.
Gliding her hand backward, she let out a sigh before stopping abruptly. She ran her hand over her forehead like she could not believe what she felt.
'The swelling, it was gone!" Ulanni thought in astonishment. This was the same thing that had happened back at the compound, her injuries vanishing overnight.
She couldn't say she wasn't happy about it, but it just sounded strange to her. 'Except, I have abilities just like Sarah!' Ulanni screamed in her head in excitement.
"Ahhhhhhh!!!" Sarah screamed as she jolted awake with her blue hair scattered and unruly.
Her scream helped in jolting the still-sleeping children out of slumber.
"Really now? What made you think it would be a good thing to scream in my mind to wake me up?" Sarah said looking pained with sleep still in her eyes
Flint was also jolted awake when Sarah had jerked her body upwards in shock earlier and was now massaging at her eyes to drive sleep away.
"I am so sorry Sarah. I forgot I can speak to you through the mind link." Ulanni explained as she looked at Sarah with sorry eyes.
"Ahh, okay. Just don't do that again. I can still hear your voice echoing in my head." Sarah hissed as she sat back to lean on the chair with her head upturned.
"It's morning?" Flint questioned from beside Sarah. This seemed to have drawn the attention of the children from the trio to the window.
"Wow! Who would think that such a scary place would look this marvelous at night." A girl exclaimed.
When the girl's voice reached Fints ears, she half stood up and tilted her body to have a close-up view of the scenery outside of the window.
"It's a different place," Flint stated as she tilted to look out the window and scanned the trees around before her gaze slowly slid to the look at the sun that shone brightly in the sky.
"I think that Leader Flint is right. The trees here aren't red like the ones from last night." A slightly healthy boy with brown eyes and brown hair pointed out to the hearing of the other children.
They were jolted out of their thought when they heard footsteps climbing up the now-bloodied stairs.
They all turned to stare in that direction with various thoughts in their minds.
'Have we arrived?'
'Are we finally going to be fed?'
'What is going on?'
These were the various thoughts of the children as they all stared in anticipation at the entrance of the visible stairs.
