There was a small supermarket some distance from the school.

Our school was not located in the downtown area. There were no shops around, and there were few pedestrians and vehicles.

Especially during this period, students were studying at night, and there were almost no people on the street.

Jenny offered to accompany me, "Why don't I go with her? It's dark outside and Mary is not safe by herself."

I frowned. I somehow felt something strange.

Jenny walked with me very silently all the way.

When we arrived at the supermarket, I found that the wallet that she held for the class fee had indeed been left behind at the supermarket cashier.

But she didn't quibble or play some other tricks. She just sincerely thanked the supermarket owner.

On the way back, she remained quiet until we reached a relatively dark section of the road.

She stopped suddenly and her expression was secretive in the dim light, "Mary, what did you mean when you talked about your last life?"
