A certain Goddess lives in a realm incomprehensible to all of her creations.
From that place, where the stories of all of her creations are being recorded, the Goddess keeps on observing the infinite possibilities as a form of amusement.
It was the greatest offering that her creations can offer to her.
To see the unpredictable stories of all of her creations.
The infinite number of stories, different and indistinct yet still connected from one another.
From the moment the Goddess would bestow their life, through the days of their life that they would live, until the end of time at their death.
To witness all of their stories was her privilege.
To remember all of their stories was her promise.
To recite all of their stories was her gift.
As for one's story is the proof that they once existed.
And that none of them would ever be forgotten.
For she was their beloved Visare, the Goddess and proud creator of all in this world.
.
.
.
"Beloved Goddess my ass!... If there's one word that I would be honored to attach to your name, it would be from the selection of words Idle to Otiose... Lazy Visare, the good-for-nothing Goddess!"
That repulsive and childish voice came from a unique entity.
A wisp of light without a defined figure.
A one of a kind creation in this world of Reverie.
A System that connects all life to their beloved Goddess.
The Reverie System.
"And that's another proof of your laziness!... You didn't even come up with a proper name for the world's System. Just because the world is named Reverie, the System should also be called Reverie. What a lazy ass!"
The pissed-off Goddess grabbed the wisp of light with both of her hands and stretched it in the opposite direction to show her annoyance.
"I wonder why are you so mad at me these past few days, Reverie?"
The appearance used by the Goddess Visare doesn't have a definite form, a silhouette of a woman which was dark as the abyss, yet her irritation can be seen from her void appearance.
"ARGH!... SHUT UP!!... YOU CHEATER!!!..."
"What?... Cheater?..."
"I was supposed to be unique! A one-of-a-kind entity that holds the only privilege to stay at your side forever! Yet you still created that child!"
"What child?!... Are you accusing me of being an orgy like those Gods and Goddesses who will conceive a child with their own creation?... How insolence of you!"
"Oi!... Watch that mouth of yours if you don't want to get roasted by the other of your kind on social media."
"What?... Are you blackmailing me now? How dare you!"
"SHUT UP, CHEATER!!!..."
"For the love of myself. What are you talking, Reverie?"
"That child!..."
"What child?!..."
"The Goddess' Assassin System!"
.
.
.
"Seriously, Reverie?... How many times I must explain to you that I'm not cheating? That Goddess' Assassin System doesn't even have a persona like yourself. Why are you even getting jealous?"
"But it might develop a persona on its own in the near future!"
"Then wouldn't you be happy to have a companion of your kind?"
"THE HECK!... Why would I want another companion other than you? Well, if it is another version of you then I will gladly accept."
"Sheesh... I wonder how did you end up developing that persona?"
Reverie handles all the processes of the System. From the Humans' using the power of Mana to the Monsters' using the power of Curse.
In the early days of its creation, it was only an autonomous entity with the freedom to act independently at the will of the Goddess Visare.
But as more days, years, and years passed by while being connected to all of its Goddess' creations, it was able to learn and develop its person.
It was the same with the case of the Cursed Lord gaining its ego and being affected by the Humans' Sin still lingering in the power of the Curse.
Another incident that was beyond the expectation of the Goddess Visare.
"That's why I'm telling you that it might develop its persona too! When that happens, I won't be able to have you all by myself!"
"Sheesh... Why are you acting so possessive like that? Did I perhaps do something wrong while creating you? Ohh!... Maybe I should give it a try recreating you."
The Goddess Visare said those remarks while giving a hit of mischievousness.
"Oi!... Are you trying to blackmail me or something?..."
"Who knows?... You tell me, Reverie..."
"I won't believe that you know... You're too lazy for the idea of recreating me or more or less resetting the whole System status in all of your creations."
"Ugh!... You may be right. That would be too much of a hassle."
.
.
.
"Anyway, are you sure about giving that Earthling the Goddess' Assassin System?"
"Hmm?... What do you mean, Reverie?"
"I mean, do you think he has what it takes to complete the task you have given to him? He might just get mad or lose himself like what happened to the others."
"Well, that might happen indeed. But I got a good feeling about Fluffy Sleepyhead."
"What makes you say that?"
"Don't you remember what the place that represents his Soul looks like?"
"I don't know. You didn't bring me with you that time. Why don't you ask that bastard child of yours since you were with it that time."
"Sheesh!... Are you still not over with that?"
"Anyway, what does that Earthling's Soul look like?"
"It was a place that both reflects the darkness of the abyss and vastness of the clear blue sky."
"Which means?"
"The darkness of the abyss where Fluffy Sleepyhead was standing represents his hatred...
...Hatred to what he thinks of an unfair World of his, to the God he believes that has forsaken him, to all the people he thought that didn't give a damn about him, to his fate that he cursed, and to his self to the person he has become...
...Yet the vastness of the clear blue sky represents his hope...
...His hope that there are still good things left for him in his unfair World, that God has still yet abandoned him, that there are still people even a few who care for him, and that his fate is not destined to be doomed, and that he can still become a person who deserves those few good things left for him and for those people who stayed by his side."
"Aren't you favoring that Earthling so much?"
"Of course not... That is just my first impression after seeing his Soul."
"But are you sure he won't become like the other whose Soul has been summoned to the World of Reverie?"
"Well, Fluffy Sleepyhead might lose himself to hatred like what happened to the others, but I'm sure his hope will surely set him back."
"If that is what you say so, I guess it is fine then."
"Besides, he is not the only one who hasn't lost themselves in their cruel fate in the world of Reverie."
