Sid's heart sank as he heard the news about Lily.
"I need to rescue her as soon as possible," Sid said through gritted teeth, his voice thick with determination and raw emotion. The very thought of her suffering at the hands of that depraved person made him want to scream. He had to find her, and fast.
Aunt Hanne nodded in agreement, her expression filled with worry.
"Please bring her back safely, Sid."
"I will," he promised. As he left the house, he turned to Aunt Hanne and said,
"Please accept this as a token of my gratitude." He handed her a pouch filled with 100 silver coins.
Aunt Hanne hesitated for a moment before accepting the gift. "Are you sure, Sid? This is a lot of money."
He nodded. "I'm now a One Star Blacksmith, so I can earn money. Please take it and use it to take care of yourself."
Aunt Hanne smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Sid. Please be careful."
Sid walked through the town, his eyes taking in the sights of the people who had done nothing to help Lily. He couldn't help but feel a sense of disgust at their cowardice. They cowered in fear at the mere mention of Zion's name, simply because he was a Knight Apprentice. But Sid also knew that he couldn't entirely blame them. They were weak and ignorant, just like he had once been. He used to believe that people like Zion were truly powerful, but he now knew that their strength was nothing but a joke.
As fate would have it, he encountered Zion's goons in the market. They were causing chaos, harassing others, and acting like big shots by using Zion's name. "
"Bunch of trash acting all tough," Sid spoke his voice cold and filled with killing intent. His words were loud enough that everyone in the market could hear them.
"Who are you, mister?" One of the thugs tried to act tough, but he stuttered after sizing Sid up. Sid's fully equipped appearance was intimidating to them.
"You don't have the right to know my name," Sid replied, his voice cold and filled with killing intent.
The thugs looked at him with surprise and fear, realizing they had picked the wrong person to mess with.
"Stop being arrogant. We are Zion's people, a Knight Apprentice. You won't like it if you touch us,"
"Zion?" Sid replied, his eyes narrowing. He remembered the name all too well, and the anger inside him began to boil.
"Yeah! Zion... Are you afraid now?" another thug chimed in, feeling emboldened by his friends.
"I'll search for that pig myself after I'm done beating all of you," Sid shook his head. , his killing intent is now fully unleashed. He remembered how these people used to bully him, and he was not going to let them get away with it again.
Sid's first step was so powerful that it left a deep imprint on the ground. He used their moment of confusion to launch a swift and devastating attack. His movements were fast and precise, and his strikes were so powerful that they sent the thugs flying.
The first thug tried to swing a punch at Sid, but he dodged it with ease. He countered with a powerful strike to the thug's gut, which sent him flying several feet away. The thug groaned in pain as he hit the ground, clutching his stomach.
The other thugs quickly realized that they were dealing with a formidable opponent. They tried to surround him, but Sid's instinctual reflexes quickly outmatched them. He moved with calculated precision, blocking their attacks and landing devastating blows.
His movements were too fast for them, but it was clear that the thugs were inexperienced in combat. They swung wildly, their attacks lacking precision and finesse. Sid easily dodged their strikes and countered with devastating blows of his own, taking advantage of their openings.
Another thug tried to grab him from behind, but he spun around and delivered a powerful elbow strike to his face. The thug stumbled back, dazed and disoriented.
The remaining thugs tried to regroup and come at him all at once, but he was too quick for them. He darted around them, delivering swift kicks and punches. In a whirlwind of motion, Sid was a blur of fists and kicks, striking out with deadly accuracy as he moved. The thugs stumbled and fell in his wake, their attempts to land a blow on him proving futile.
Finally, the thugs had had enough. They realized that they were no match for Sid and decided to make a run for it. But he was not done with them yet.
"You think you can get away just like that?" Sid sneered, his voice dripping with contempt.
He chased after them, his fists still raised. As they tried to flee, he closed the gap and delivered swift, powerful blows to each of them. The thugs stumbled and fell to the ground, groaning in pain.
With the last thug lying on the ground, Sid took a step back and surveyed his handiwork. The thugs were battered and broken, lying in a heap on the ground. Sid knew that he couldn't stay there for long; the commotion was sure to draw unwanted attention. He took a deep breath and wiped the sweat from his brow.
It was time to move on.
As Sid walked away from the scene, the people in the marketplace started talking amongst themselves in awe of what they had just witnessed.
"Did you see how he took them down with just his bare fists?" one person said in disbelief.
"He moved like a Knight, it was incredible," another added.
"He's not just strong, he's fast too. And those moves, it's like he's a trained fighter," a third person chimed in.
"He's definitely not from around here, that's for sure," someone else speculated.
Despite their amazement, there was also a sense of unease amongst the onlookers. They knew that someone with that kind of strength and skill could be dangerous. But they also couldn't help but feel a sense of respect and admiration for Sid, for what he had just accomplished.
"He's not someone to be trifled with, that's for sure," one person said, echoing the thoughts of many.
"I don't know who he is, but I wouldn't want to be on his bad side," another added.
As the buzz of conversation continued, Sid walked away, a determined look in his eyes. He knew that there was still much to do and that he could not let his guard down. The road ahead was long and treacherous, but he was ready to face whatever challenges lay in his path.
"You're next Zion," he snarled, his voice filled with fierce determination.
Unaware of it, the anger he was feeling was being fueled by something deep inside him, a force that would alter the course of his life forever.
