The water swirled around her and started to mess with her aim. Ellen struggled to get a clear shot. She fired the arrow, but when the water stopped and she realized she had missed, the monster wasn't there but instead right behind her. She changed position, then used her crystal to make a force field to block the monster's largemouth. Then hit it with a large amount of electricity that sent crashing on the lake bed and dragging through the sand.
She remained looking down with her palm forward, she had just used one of her many god abilities combined with the crystals. The ice above her sealed up, hence they had to find another way out, she had discovered that as long as this creature can control water, meaning it was created by Poseidon the Greek god of the sea and Artemis' uncle.
She swam and landed on the lake bed, she looked around then put her hand and called back her two arrows straight back into her hands. She heard a lazy grow from the debris of rocks that were just next to her. A hand-pulled out and Nathan crawled himself out.
She ran up to him, grabbed his hand, then helped pull him out of the destruction. She noticed the cuts the water had caused on his skin and they weren't healing. Something was wrong with this monster.
Speaking of the monster. It was already back on its tail, it was just a few meters from Ellen and Nathan. It instantly attacked as its body slithered through the sand with its mouth.
Stand behind me,' Nathan put himself forward to protect Ellen, this is a kanju, he summoned his crystal and used it to grow a wall.
But looking at the wall, she remembered that they weren't dealing with a kanju it could break through this specific shield. Her mind went blank and she acted on instinct. She summoned her goddess bow and then pushed Nathan out the way. It all happened so fast, but she fired an arrow that split the ground in two the moment it was fired cutting through the monster, disintegrating instantly, and splitting the lake waters themselves. The moment was breathtaking and astonishing at the same time.
Nathan's mouth dropped open, Ellen had just combined her god abilities of the arrow and her godslayer abilities. He didn't know how she had just done it, but she was able to. Her aura had shifted the moment she summoned the bow. Her hair only had parts of it while the rest was still red. And her eyes only one was silver-colored, the other was red.
Is this the power of a half god-half godslayer," this thought worried him. If there were more like her they would be unstoppable, they will a whole new generation of gods.
Ellen turned slowly, "Godslayer." she said, "Your kind shall pay for the sins of your ancestors." she said these words facing Nathan with a murderous and viscous stare in his eyes. He quickly noticed that this wasn't Ellen but the god living inside her. Something about using her goddess powers during the day woke the inner goddess.
She drew her bow pointing the arrow at Nathan.
"Ellen!" She turned when she heard Ron call her name and then appeared just in time to stop her from shooting her arrow.
She turned her dead face to Ron and grinned, "Um….if it isn't the great god-king," she said. "Just a god stuck in a kid's body,"
Ron stepped down, "Ellen, it's me. Ron, you need to wake up,"
Ellen chuckled. "I see, so you've sided with the godslayer," she muttered, "then you are a traitor to your kind,"
she turned her bow into a sword, that she split into twin blades then advanced towards Ron,
Nathan saved him, by making a magical force field around him that blocked her first strike, the force that came from the strike of a goddess' blade broke the ice above them and started the ground under to shake from the impact.
The field opened up, then Ron and Nathan swam upwards and then jumped out of the water and fell on the ice. Both were breathing heavily. Ellen had lost control of her powers and that wasn't their only problem.~~a strong blizzard of ice blew over the lake and all the ice even grew thicker, the lighting from the sky had stopped. The ice they were on started to rattle as loud thudding sounds echoed from a distance from the forest.
They both stood up and stared at whatever was coming from the forest. There was a whooshing sound before Ron noticed the huge boulder that was falling from the sky.
"Look out!" the two of them jumped out of the way before the huge rock blasted through the ice. Ron fell on his face and started regretting this dam quest, if only he didn't leave home. He could be at school right now ignoring his powers, but this would happen either way even if he stayed home. He had to face this he didn't know why and for the first time in these fourteen years his friends with a hot chick, this was the definition of fate.
He squeezed his hand into a fist and stood up, "Am a godslayer with super-strength," he said to himself and cleared his mind. He had to unleash his true potential as a godslayer.
From within the moving blizzard of snow and wind, a humanoid creature formed and a giant walked out. Its head reached out to the grounds, with its half-naked blue muscular body slowly marching on the ice.
Nathan stared at the giant with his eyes wide from dread, "A frost giant…a grown one," he stammered,
"Can't we fight it?" Ron asked, still staring at the scariest thing he had ever seen in his entire life.
"We're just Ron…we can't fight, one that big, we need to go,"
~Ron summoned his sword and couldn't grab it with a shaky grip. He was breathing heavily and was beginning to feel cold as vapor started to form in his mouth. His body was becoming human again.
That's when Ellen's griffin squeaked from above and gave him an idea.
"Nathan," he turned to him,
"Yeah?"
I need you to go back in the water and knock out Ellen using magic, and then bring her up,"
"Okay, what are you going you going to do?" Nathan asked.
Ron smirked, "Am going to do something stupid," this was the adrenaline speaking.
Nathan dived back into the water to go get Ellen, leaving Ron behind.
