"What the fuck!?"

As Alex's voice rang out everyone turned to him in alarm, asking what was wrong, but Alex barely heard them as he reviewed the notification before him several times.

He had brought everyone out here because he had placed what was essentially a bomb in Shido's body when he had staked him out for Them earlier. However, apparently another reincarnator had showed up recently, and was right next to the bomb when it went off.

So instead of just Shido and any of Them that happened to be drawn in by his screams being caught in the swirling inferno, so had the reincarnator that had just arrived. And because of that, Alex had received something through his Chatroom quests called the Vampiric Fist martial art.

And as the manual appeared out of midair in front of him, surprising those who were still waiting for him to explain his previous outburst, Alex opened it to see what the martial style he had acquired involved. Though it was apparent through the name, Alex was still surprised to see that the Vampiric Fist style would allow him to drain the energy of his opponents if used properly, vitality, stamina, magical, just about every type of energy one could think of.

It immediately reminded Alex of Vali's Divine Dividing since the basic principle was the same, though through different mechanics.

"Alex!" Yuna cried out, bringing his attention back to them as she asked worriedly, "what happened?"

With every eye on him and the manual in his hands, Alex smiled wryly as he stated, "I killed another reincarnator on accident."

Though everyone else, including Saya, didn't understand what Alex was talking about, both Yami and Yuna blinked in surprise before the former asked, "'accidentally'?"

Alex nodded and explained,

"I left a bomb in Shido to take out every one of Them that was drawn in by his screaming, and apparently it also took out a reincarnator that had just arrived as well. I'd have loved to see their reaction."

Even as Alex said that another screen popped up in front of him, the usual slot to determine what reward he'd receive for killing another reincarnator. Putting it aside absentmindedly, Alex directed his attention to Rika and Shizuka's house as he then said,

"Come on, let's get inside already." Though the numerous questions the group had about Alex were only growing, he ignored them as he magicked the front door open, and stepped inside before anyone else could.

Currently their group numbered more than sixty after stopping at some of the student's homes for their family members, and Rika's little two bedroom house definitely wouldn't be enough to fit all of them. So, the moment Alex stepped inside he used Spatial magic to drastically expand the interior so there was more than enough room for them all.

Living room, kitchen, bathroom, the two bedrooms, everything was expanded to better accommodate them all, while Alex also added numerous pieces of furniture so everyone would have a place to sit, sleep, and eat.

"Someone pinch me..." One of the mothers that had joined them uttered as the group followed Alex into the house, just about all of them still somewhat disbelieving the existence of magic and such.

"See, you're awake. And I'd suggest trying to get used to all of this as quickly as you can, this isn't the type of world where you can take things slowly anymore." Though the older woman glared at him as if she were wronged, everyone else nodded slowly and solemnly, except for one who stepped forward and asked,

"Are you really not going to help those who need it? What about all of the lives you could save?" With all of them looking at Alex inquisitively at the question, he just shrugged while saying,

"What about them? Lives are lost everyday that are preventable, and people are ready to turn a blind eye to those if it conveniences them. The difference now is that people have to actually fight for survival, and I have no intention of going out of my way to save those who can't adapt. When the time comes you'll all either stay in this world to live alongside the undead, or you'll migrate to my world where society is structured differently with numerous races that don't exist here. No matter what your choices are to either adapt, or die."

The mothers and older siblings that hadn't interacted with Alex up until this point, along with the students that had joined them from Shido, looked at him with horror at his unwillingness to help those who needed it, and his readiness to let literally millions die due to his inaction.

Of course, if they thought about it then they also would've realized that Alex didn't HAVE to help them either, and could've easily left them to die or survive on their own. But they wouldn't get the chance to, as Alex passed a small ring to Yuna while saying,

"Yuna, I want you to pass Dresspheres out to those who don't have one, and start teaching them how to use it. Saeko, start teaching those who have spheres that use swords how to properly use them. The sphere may give them a basic idea of how to use their powers, but nothing beats real training. Rei, same with you. And finally Yami, I'd like it if you could whip us up some dinner while I go to take care of something real quick."

Those Alex had given orders to nodded in affirmation as they began moving to fulfill them, Saeko, Rei and Yuna all herding the group of students and their family members to start or resume their training, while Yami turned numerous strands of her hair into hands, which she then put gloves on as they all began working on preparing a meal big enough for all of them.

With everyone moving to do as he said, Alex singled one person in particular out before extending his arm to grab them by the back of their shirt collar, and said, "Not you Shizuka. You and I are going on a little field trip."

Though she looked back at him curiously when Alex stopped her, the moment Shizuka heard the words 'field trip' her eyes lit up, and she jumped up and down while demanding excitedly, "Oh!?! Where are we going!?!"

Rather than answer, Alex pulled out the magic key and compass to open a gate to his destination. Stepping through the portal, Alex was about to introduce himself to those on the other side, but paused as he saw where the portal had opened.

The person he was looking for should've been at an offshore airport trying to keep the people there safe from Them, and keeping it operational for evacuation flights. Instead though, Alex found himself in what appeared to be a locker room shower, where about ten mature and beautiful women were showering until he intruded.

Through his Domain Alex had checked out every plane being boarded and taking off, and was shocked to see just how light the amount of passengers on them were. Meanwhile, those waiting throughout the airport for their own flights were VIPs and elites that were dining on high-class cuisine or lounging around lazily, even as the world was figuratively and literally burning down around them.

Alex felt a growing sense of disgust since the majority of these elites were politicians with their own bodyguards, and therefore should've been the ones working the hardest to ensure the safety of the civilians instead of focusing on their own escape.

Though it would definitely sound hypocritical if Alex voiced it out loud, the difference was that HE wasn't an elected official of this world, and therefore had no responsibility to the people here outside of those Alex decided to help. If such an outbreak occurred in Asora or any of the worlds Alex was affiliated with, then he'd be on the front lines to ensure as few casualties as possible.

Seeing this filled Alex with even more respect for Saya's father, Takagi Souichiro, as, despite being a politician as well, he had immediately began establishing fortifications to shelter as many people as possible when the outbreak started. Not only that, but when the fortifications for that shelter became compromised due to an EMP(and Shido), Souichiro stayed behind with his wife to ensure the survival of his daughter, as well as as many as possible.

Unfortunately they were the minority, and more than likely died in the original timeline from doing the right thing, while the scumbags Alex was seeing now probably lived and were fattening themselves up as the world went to hell.

'Too bad the Haulia aren't here.' Alex thought to himself, as he entertained the idea of sending them after every single politician and elitist that went into hiding instead of helping their people.

"What are smiling about?" Rika asked Alex suddenly, making him smirk as he whispered in her ear,

"Imagine these fat slobs hunkered down on their islands or in their little bunkers, thinking they're safe from the apocalypse going on outside, when suddenly several psychotic murder bunnies show up to slit their throats."

Soon enough they left behind the elite snobs, and arrived at the room being used as the command center for Rika's superiors.

"Squadron chief Minami, what is this?" The lieutenant demanded as Alex's group stepped into the room, prompting Rika to salute him as she declared,

"Minami Rika reporting a civilian who claims to have important information!" Alex cocked a brow at Rika from her introduction, asking with an incredulous voice,

"Civilian?" Rika's salute faltered for a brief second as her expression cramped up, before she asked him snarkily,

"Is there some other way you'd like to be addressed?" Alex just smirked, making Rika worry about what he was going to say next when Alex said to her lieutenant while offering a hand,

"My name is Alexander Morningstar, but you can call me the Dragon Emperor."

For a moment no one said anything as they all instead stared at Alex, until,

*bang!*

The lieutenant startled everyone as he slammed his hand on the table before him, snarling at Alex as he did so,

"Are you fucking kidding me right now!!?! We've got an actual disaster occurring all around the world, people are DYING in the millions, and you want to fucking waste my time by playing dress up and make-believe!?! GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!"

Seemingly finished with Alex, the lieutenant then rounded on Rika as he snarled,

"I thought better of you, FORMER squadron chief!"

"B-but sir-"

"BUT NOTHING! You were the star of our team, one of the best of the best in the entire country! That fact that you let this NONSENSE in here however shows a serious lack of judgment on your part! NOW GET OUT THERE AND KILL THOSE 'THINGS' UNTIL I SAY OTHERWISE!"

Rika's expression was one of distress and frustration as she was lambasted for no reason, as her brief interaction told her that Alex wasn't a normal person. Years of training and discipline made her hold her tongue though, even as her clenched fists trembled at her sides.

Meanwhile Shizuka and the rest of the women that had escorted Alex there with Rika were also dumbfounded at the harshness of their lieutenant, while Alex himself simply clenched his outstretched hand tightly. He had begun debating on showing the lieutenant some of his 'nonsense', when the door to the command center was opened suddenly, and an older man who was short and round in stature strutted in.

"What's with the commotion in here, lieutenant?" The man asked, making every single officer in the room stand up straight as they saluted him, and the lieutenant declared,

"Nothing Minister Shido! Just a dumb civilian wasting our time with pointless pranks!" The Cabinet Minister nodded slowly as he glanced at all of the people gathered within the command center, his lecherous gaze lingering on Shizuka briefly before coming to a rest on Alex.

"I see... Well, I trust you can handle this situation quickly since there are more important things that require your attention lieutenant, such as our evacuation?" The lieutenant nodded quickly as he said,

"Yessir! There's been a bit of a hiccup with the evacuation since it appears that someone who was infected also got onto the island. My men are clearing them out now so the next plane can take off!" Nodding slowly, the Cabinet Minister dismissively said as he turned to leave,

"Good good, can't have anymore delays can we?" Just before he exited the command center though, Alex asked him,

"Excuse me, but you wouldn't happen to be related to a Shido who's a teacher at a high school, would you?" Halting slightly at the question, Minister Shido looked back at Alex curiously before answering,

"Yes, my son Koichi. Why?" Hearing the confirmation that he had the right person, Alex smiled happily as he said,

"What great fortune! I actually happen to be briefly acquainted with your son!"

"Is that so...?" The Minister drawled, not caring about Koichi in the slightest. But he never could've anticipated what happened next.

Moving faster than anyone present could follow, Alex proceeded to plant his foot directly in the middle of the Minister's back, and 'shoved' him with enough force that the fat politician went flying.

"Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!" The elder Shido squealed in alarm, before he tumbled messily to the ground in front of the rest of the VIPs.

"W-WHO DID THAT!?!" He demanded after igniting himself, only to see Alex slowly walking towards him with a smug look on his face.

"Y-you damn cosplayer! How dare you lay your filthy hands on the Cabinet Minster!?! Get him!" Shouting to the surrounding bodyguards as he hurried to his feet, Shido Sr. scurried back as all manner of tough and burly looking men descended upon Alex, who merely appeared amused at his struggling.

"You know-" Alex began as the first guy tried to attack him with a long knife in his hand, only for Alex to grip his arm and twist it so that it broke, with the jagged end of the bone coming out at his elbow. "You scream differently than your son."

Ignoring the screams of the man who's arm he just broke, Alex continued to slowly approach Shido Sr. as he became increasingly worried.

"Surround him!" Someone shouted, before numerous bodyguards surrounded Alex with their own long knives. As they all rushed him though, Alex's hand blurred as they moved like flowing water, redirecting the razor-sharp blades so that sank into the flesh of the bodyguards themselves, leaving Alex completely unscathed.

"Using live ammunition!" One of the bodyguards shouted as he drew his gun, triggering numerous screams as the VIPs quickly fled to avoid being caught in the crossfire.

With the remaining bodyguards following suit, Alex just held his hands up and sighed, as if saying 'what can you do?' And without any hesitation, the bark of gunfire rang out as they all fired differing types of firearms at him, from pistols and SMGs, to full on shotguns and Assault Rifles.

What none of them expected though, was that each bullet that impacted Alex's body didn't pierce it, but STRETCHED it as his flesh extended like it was made of rubber. For a moment no one said anything, none of them could in the face of such an incomprehensible thing occurring before them, until Alex said,

"I think I'll give these back to all of you."

The moment Alex finished speaking, the bullets that were stretching his body were suddenly shot back the way they came from, impacting each of the remaining bodyguards with a fraction of their original lethality, but still causing enough damage to incapacitate them.

Dead silence.

That's all there was as everyone except Shizuka looked at Alex with a mixture of fear and awe, as he took out several dozen armed and trained men with minimal to no effort, the only ones remaining standing being the men and women of the prefectural police, who were prevented from intervening by Rika and Shizuka.

"P-please..." Shido Sr. uttered as he beheld Alex's domineering strength, backing away fearfully until he tripped over someone's luggage, and fell to the floor.

"I-I'm the Cabinet Minister... you'll be arrested!" He pleaded and threatened, as if his position had any bearing on Alex's actions.

Alex's response to this was only to smile, before he suddenly appeared above the Minister and stepped down on his knee until a sharp crack echoed, followed by an ear piercing scream.

"GYAAAAAAAAAAH!"

The people flinched as they watched Alex break his leg, but none of them dared to intervene as Alex started speaking in a voice loud enough that they all clearly heard him,

"There are two things you all need to learn! Firstly, the world as you know it has ended, and any wealth or positions you used to have is now useless! It doesn't matter if you were a Minister, or the poorest of peasants, your only choices are to either adapt and survive in this new world, or die.

"Secondly, I am an EMPEROR! Meaning that if ranks did still exist, I outrank ALL of you! That being said, if you can all survive this first month in this world, then you may have a chance to leave it when I return to my own home in a world known as Asora! But only if I approve you!"

As Alex said that many of the fearful expressions around him turned hopeful, as, if he was speaking the truth, then they could find a way to escape the hell this world was quickly becoming. But just as they were getting their hopes up,

"Bullshit!" The Cabinet Minister spat at Alex through the pain in his leg, his expression one of anger, pain, and disgust as he snarled, "someone kill this bastard!"

Unsurprisingly, no one moved from their positions since what Alex had done to the numerous bodyguards was still very fresh in their minds, especially since they were all right there on the ground, pools of blood forming under them.

What Alex did next did surprise them though, as he waved his hand and time itself seemed to flow backwards for the bodyguards, as the blood pooling under them began to shrink as it reentered their bodies, and their wounds began to close. Within seconds they were all hesitantly standing and looking around curiously, until their gazes landed on Alex.

Fear gripped their hearts at the sight of the monster that had brutally dispatched of all of them, and several began to try and crawl backwards until their backs hit one of the walls surrounding them. Meanwhile Alex paid their fears no mind, as he casually said to them,

"Today's your lucky day. I have need of hired guns, and can pay you all handsomely if you agree." As he said that Alex pulled out the magic compass to find something, and upon locating it he used Spatial magic to transfer a massive pile of gold bars into the room.

Everyone stared at the gold in awe since none of them had never seen so much of it before, even as the floor beneath them began to groan from the collective weight, until Alex said to them,

"Work or me for one month, and I'll pay you this pile of gold...each." The bodyguards all looked up at Alex sharply when they heard that, having expected him to only offer them a small piece of the gold before them, or at the most for them to split it. Hearing that they would get such a large pile to themselves, EACH, every single one of them stood up with their fear evaporating in the face of the offered wealth, before one asked while looking at Shido Sr.,

"Do ya want us to take care of him for you, boss?" Shaking his head at them, Alex said plainly,

"No. I prefer to get my own hands messy in these matters, unless I'm preoccupied with something else." Alex then stepped away from the Minister and approached Rika, before saying as he tossed her a glowing sphere,

"I also have need of a capable and incredibly beautiful sniper Rika. The position comes with an upgrade in equipment, amazing healthcare, and the opportunity to bounce up and down on my cock as often as you want. Interested?"

Rika blinked at the offer Alex gave her in surprise, before taking a second to think as she looked at the Gunner Dressphere he gave her curiously. Eventually she nodded her head as she said with a smirk, "With perks like that? How can a girl refuse?"

Alex smirked back at her as his arm reached around and smacked her ass playfully, before he said,

"Good. Your first job is to escort all who are willing to the Takagi estate. I'll give you arms and supplies, but the rest will be up to you. If there's any problems then you can contact me through this."

As Alex finished speaking an illusionary prompt appeared in front of both Rika and Shizuka, who both accepted it without a second thought. Shizuka knew Alex's condition for the Chatroom since she was there when both Saeko and Saya joined, while Rika accepted it without knowing, but it wouldn't matter to her anyways since part of his job offer to her involved sex anyways.

Turning back to the numerous bodyguards that were now being employed by him, Alex stated to them,

"I'll be returning to my own group after settling a few more things here, but once I leave Rika is in charge until you all reach the Takagi estate. Understand?"

Alex nodded in affirmation at their salute, before casting a piercing look at everyone else who was gathered, from the members of the police to the VIPs and civilians that were watching. Even if he didn't say anything to them his message was clear, they could either chose to stay, or follow Rika to the estate.

With everything getting settled here, Alex decided it was time to finish off the corrupt Minister once and for all, before tying up the last few loose ends so he could return to Saya and the others. So, Alex used his Telekinesis to pick up his target, and threw him through the window at the growing group of Them down below, who had all been drawn in by the numerous gunshots.

Once again his screams echoed out as They tore him apart, making people pale from the sound even as Alex remained completely stoic, and asked,

"So, who needs a gun?"
