557 An Unusual Date

The streets of Dressrosa were alive with music, festivities, and passion as a certain couple wandered down them. Everywhere they looked there were people STILL celebrating the downfall of Doflamingo and his crew, pausing only long enough to gawk at the couple as they walked by.

It was understandable though, since one of them was the crown princess of Dressrosa, Viola. And the other was the man responsible for their liberation via Yami, Shizuku and Erza, the Dragon Emperor himself, who was also one of the most wanted people by the World Government, Alexander Morningstar.

With all of the attention on them, Viola couldn't help but to become embarrassed due to the fact that EVERYONE knew she was essentially on a date with Alex.

And while she had basically JUST met Alex a few moments ago back at the palace, she could readily and rightfully claim she knew more about him than even most of his lovers and wives. That was one of the things that made Viola more accepting of him. Yes, Alex was a massive pervert. But he was open about his perverseness while any guy Viola had talked to in the past would sing her sweet words and praises, while simultaneously picturing her naked and writhing under them in bed.

Meanwhile she also knew that the people of Dressrosa were testing Alex to see what kind of person he was. BUT, it would not be the first time a 'benevolent savior' arrived just in time to save them from a 'despot'.

That had been Doflamingo's exact play as he manipulated Riku Doldo to completely destroy his image in the people's eyes overnight. Then Doflamingo became the 'savior' of the entire island by dethroning the 'tyrant king', before resuming his family's original role as the rulers of Dressrosa.

However, the suspicion and caution of the people towards Alex was completely misplaced. Which they quickly realized as they interacted with the Dragon Emperor.

As they walked and interacted with the people, Alex made sure to learn the names of every single shopkeeper and merchant that tried to give them snacks or other refreshments, as well as those who tried to gift them items that they were selling. But what neither Viola nor the merchants themselves noticed, was that Alex would magically leave a small bag of gold and jewels in their stands for them to discover later. And this 'small' act of anonymous kindness would do wonders for his reputation in the kingdom.

But it wasn't only the merchants or people watching Alex to get an idea of what he was like.

"And your report Leo? Anything suspicious?" Asked a large and muscular man, who was doing an extremely poor job of hiding.

"No sir!" Squeaked a dwarf that was only a few inches tall at most, who had been tailing Alex and Viola without either of them noticing. Or so the two of them believed.

"Hmmm.... Well keep an eye on them. We HAVE to see if this man is a good match for my little Rebecca!" The man, Kyros, cried out emotionally while also glaring at Alex hatefully.

He was fiercely protective of his little Rebecca, and even had a habit of punching the town boys that tried to give her love letters while she was growing up. Now however, with her being recognized as an official member of the royal family, there was a real possibility of her being put into a political marriage! And most likely with the Dragon Emperor of all people!

Unfortunately he had been unable to come up with a decent reason to prevent their union, as Kyros was entirely convinced Alex would try to 'collect' his daughter due to how beautiful she was. And he couldn't even use her age as an excuse since Rebecca was only two years younger than her mother, Scarlett, had been when the two of them eloped and married. Kyros himself had already been in his twenties at the time, so the age difference was out as well.

That was why he was working with Leo to desperately try to prove wether or not Alex was a good person, worthy of his daughter. But that was becoming increasingly hard to do.

Not only was Alex amicable towards all of the citizens testing him, but he had even won over Viola despite her powers.

"But I will not give up!" Kyros declared with fire in his eyes, completely determined to do his duty as a father and keep his daughter from being dirtied by any filthy boys!

"You won't give up what?" Came a sudden voice, making both Kyros and Leo freeze as they looked over to see Rebecca of all people standing there.

"AH!!! Uhhhhhhh.... I won't give up protecting Dressrosa from bad guys!" Kyros declared to her as he tried to keep her from figuring out what he was really doing.

"Huh? But mr. Alex isn't a bad guy, is he?" She asked while looking out from their cover at Alex and Viola.

Both Kyros and Leo flinched as Rebecca immediately called them both out on what they were actually doing, even if she didn't realize the specifics.

"N-not particularly... But it's still good to know what kind of person he is, especially if he's going to marry your aunt Viola!" Kyros quickly said.

"I see... So if he's a good person, does that mean I'll end up marrying him as well?" Rebecca asked, her eyes full of innocence.

"Guh!" Kyros cried while clutching his chest, as if in agony, as the image of his beloved daughter being carried off away from him floated before his eyes, before she was ravaged by a savage beast.

"Is something wrong, dad?" She asked from seeing his current state, making Kyros take another devastating blow like any other time she had referred to him as her father. Admittedly, it was a secret only a handful of people in the kingdom knew of, as he could never reveal that their beloved princess Scarlett had been married to, and bore the child of a killer like himself.

While Kyros was trying to recover from the numerous lethal blows Rebecca dealt him though...

"General! They are escaping!" Leo declared, pointing out Alex and Viola as the duo ducked down a deserted side alley.

"After them!" Kyros declared immediately, and the trio quickly hurried after them only to discover that the alley was empty.

"What!?! Where did they go?!" Kyros exclaimed worriedly, now believing that Alex had absconded with the crown princess.

"Leo! Mobilize all of the Warriors of the Tontatta tribe if you have to! Find them!" Kyros demanded urgently, to which the little dwarf saluted to him and declared,

"Yessir!"

He then disappeared as he left at high speeds to do just that, while both Kyros and Rebecca searched around the area, only to find no trace. Not even through Rebecca's Observation Haki.

"See? Told you they wouldn't be able to find us." Came Alex's voice shortly after the trio departed the alley.

"Amazing..." Viola uttered next to him, yet no one would've know where she was even if they had been close enough to hear her speak.

With all of the commotion they had been causing wherever they went, and the trio of stalkers spying on them, Alex had pulled Viola into an abandoned alley to get out of the eyes of the public for a second. And then, with his arms wrapped around her body so that he was basically hugging her from behind, he activated the power of the Suke Suke no Mi that he got from Absalom.

Not only did the power of the fruit hide them from view, but it also shielded them from those who use Observation Haki, like Rebecca. But that didn't mean the Devil Fruit was all powerful when it came to hiding from others.

Alex had already experimented with the fruit's limits back in the space-time orb, where they discovered that other than vision and detection abilities, it was still fairly easy to locate Alex. Heat vision for example made short work of that, while those with extra sensitive noses and ears could still smell or hear him moving around them.

But that was ok, since Alex didn't intend to use the Devil Fruit for anything more than harassing his wives and lovers anyways. Or for walking the town without being noticed, like he was doing now with Viola. Incidentally, Viola as well could be considered Alex's natural enemy, since she could still spot him even when he was invisible with her powers.

At the moment though both of them were invisible, since if Alex canceled the ability Rebecca would be able to detect them.

"Won't we have to stay like this the entire time?" Viola asked him anxiously, her face reddened as her heart hammered in her chest.

"Is that such a bad thing? Walking around without causing any kind of commotion, just like a normal couple."

Viola had to admit, the idea did sound good since she wasn't too excited to get bombarded by the people everywhere they went.

"Ok then. Let's have an invisible outing." She relented after a moment of thought.

"Awesome! Just two things real quick." Alex stated once she agreed, which made the princess pause as a slight foreboding welled up within her.

"Firstly, we have to stay in contact like this the entire time. If you let go of me at all, then you'll immediately become visible to everyone around us."

Viola glowered at Alex with that condition, but didn't say anything about it. Truthfully, she had kinda figured due to how Devil Fruit powers worked.

"And what's the second thing?" She asked him.

"Just this." Alex said, before he pulled down the front of her dress so that her tits spilled out into the open.

"Trigger Happy!" Yuna declared when Hancock got into close range, entering a state of focus as her fingers squeezed the triggers yet again.

Unlike the first round of shots however, Yuna's guns fired several thousand shots within a mere few seconds, before each and every one of those shots splits into dozens of bullets themselves due to her also using Scatter Shot.

"!!!"

Instantly Hancock had to go on the defensive as her Haki warned that nothing she could do would help her avoid this attack. Instead, she applied Armament Haki while crossing her arms in front of her face.

Hundreds of thousands of bullets rained down onto the Pirate Empress from Yuna's guns, pushing her defenses to the limits despite her Armament Haki, the gift of the Wereserpent that she had obtained from Alex, and her own natural physical abilities.

Trigger Happy only lasted for a few second, but to Hancock it was like an eternity as she endured the hellish rain of bullets. And when it finally cleared she tried to go on the offensive yet again, only to be met with the image of Yuna's guns amassing power at the tip of their barrels.

"This is the end~!" Yuna declared as she brought the barrels of the two guns together, combining the mass of power before pulling both the triggers at the same time to activate her Burst Shot.

Though all of Hancock's instincts screamed at her to avoid the attack, she ignored them as she proceeded to instead charge it head on. White scales appeared on her entire body with patches of red, as she channeled the power of the Wereserpent to combine with her Armament Haki that she concentrated on her foot.

Pivoting on her other leg, Hancock drove her heel right into the Burst Shot before it could hit her.

For a second she resisted the power of the shot as she stubbornly tried to push it back at the one who fired it, only for her own strength to give out as the shot instead enveloped her body.

Yuna winced as Hancock was engulfed within the light of a small, but powerful, explosion that lasted for several seconds. And when it faded, she was presented with the sight a battered, bleeding, and bruised Pirate Empress who only had a few remaining scraps of clothing covering her body.

To her credit, Hancock had remained on her feet despite the damage done to her body. But to her, that was not enough.

"Are you ok Hancock? Just wait a second and I'll heal you!" Yuna stated as she swiftly transitioned to the White Mage Dressphere. But before she could cast Curaga on Hancock, the Pirate Empress snorted as she turned and limped away.

"I do not need YOUR help." She stated, which was truthful since her Wereserpent blood had already began to heal her injuries at a visible rate.

Despite the way Hancock had spoken to her, Yuna only watched her go with a sympathetic gaze. Something that would've infuriated Hancock to no end if she had seen it.

She couldn't believe this.

Her defeat at the hands of Caulifla had been an eye opener for Hancock that she desperately needed to become stronger to claim her rightful place as Alex's one true empress. And to achieve that goal, she decided that she needed to challenge and defeat the ones that he had recruited into his peerage.

The first one Hancock had tried to challenge was the most recent and final addition to Alex's peerage, and therefor the weakest one of them by normal standards. But Yuna had been anything but normal.

They had twenty bouts since Hancock first challenged her, and she had lost each and every one of them.

In each match Yuna had used a different outfit that she called Dresspheres, each of which granted her a wide array of abilities that allowed her to dominate Hancock in every one of their matches. So much for being the 'weakest' of Alex's peerage.

And Yuna's readiness to help and heal her after each one of their bouts was even more frustrating to her, as nothing made Hancock feel more insulted than the enemy showing her sympathy.

Despite her frustrations though, all Hancock could do was go and lick her wounds as she trained and prepared for the next match.

"I'm ready to offer you guidance whenever you're ready to receive it." Said a blue skinned woman who appeared beside Hancock suddenly, her white haired tied up into high twin-tails.

"Humph! I do not accept sympathy from others!" Hancock declared with all the pride and arrogance of an empress.

"I see that." Marcarita replied with a professional smile. Inflated egos were something she and her sisters were EXPERTS at dealing with after all.

"Do not belittle me!" Hancock snarled at her angrily.

"I am not. The purpose of my sisters and I is to serve the Dragon Emperor, and his orders are to assist any one of his wives, lovers, and children who desire to grow stronger. As such, I can provide you with any number of training regimens, combat styles, or even personal instruction to help you grow stronger. After all, the purpose of your strength is to be of use to my lord, correct?"

"!!!"

Hancock blinked at the woman as she opened her mouth several times to refute or otherwise reprimand the woman like she usually would the servants on Amazon Lily. But no words came out.

She could not deny that the woman DID have a point... She desired to put all of her strength forward for the sake of her beloved!

But ever since arriving in Asora and meeting the rest of his wives, she was only growing increasingly frustrated from seeing how weak she truly was compared to them. It was something she hadn't felt since her days as a slave.

Even the other women from the same world, Nico Robin and Nami, were growing increasingly stronger by leaps and bounds. Nami's Devil Fruit ability to control the weather would make her an unbeatable force on the Grand Line, while she also apparently wanted to become strong enough to create even cosmic storms that could engulf and vaporize entire worlds.

Nico Robin meanwhile was pushing her control over her Devil Fruit to the limit, to where she was able to create genuine clones of herself at any size instead of just body parts/limbs. She was also focusing on expanding the range of her Observation Haki since it also expanded the range she could use her ability in.

"I need to strengthen both my Haki, and the power of the Mero Mero no Mi!" Hancock declared to the angel haughtily.

"Very well then. I have prepared a special location and regimen specifically to train one's Haki, as per my master's request. Shall we go now?" Marcarita said as she conjured a portal with her scepter.

I WILL take my rightful place!

That was all that was going through Hancock's mind as she stepped through the portal, fulling intending to go through hell itself if it meant she could become stronger.

As the sky above Dressrosa began to transition to the bright orange of late afternoon, the newly reinstated King Riku Doldo could be found sitting on his throne, his expression tight with worry.

After all, he had sent Leo to keep an eye on the Dragon Emperor and his daughter as they went on their outing. And yet, there had been no sight of either of them throughout the entire kingdom for several hours.

"Where could they be...?" Doldo wondered out loud.

"Where could who be?" Came Alex's voice suddenly, as he and Viola both appeared in the middle of the throne room.

"!!!"

"Viola! Your majesty! We... I mean...."

"You were wondering where we were since your 'little' spies lost us?" Alex finished for him with a small smile, emphasizing the little part for the king.

"Yes..." Doldo admitted while lowering his head ashamedly.

"Don't look so guilty. It's not like I don't understand, I have numerous daughters myself." Alex said with a sympathetic gaze. Though if it were him, he'd probably outright butcher anyone dumb enough to approach his daughters.

"Is that so?" Doldo asked, to which Alex nodded before adding,

"And as for the two of us, we just made use of one of my Devil Fruit powers to walk around the kingdom invisibly. That way we could walk around without people crowding us the entire way."

"I see..." Doldo uttered as understanding filled him this time. Admittedly, there were more than a few occasions over the last several years where he similarly wished he could turn invisible.

However, he wasn't entirely put to ease just yet due to how red Viola's face was, or how she would refuse to meet his gaze.

"Well then, I thank you for receiving me today Doldo, but I must be off." Alex suddenly said, stirring the king from his suspicions as he hurriedly asked,

"Are you sure your majesty? My chefs will finish preparing dinner soon."

"Yes I'm sure. I have a few things to do, and not that much time to do them before we attack Mary Geoise."

"!!!"

The king had nearly forgotten all about that, and he couldn't help but to ask, "you truly intend to attack the holy city?"

"Yep~! That place is the central hub of everything that's wrong it's this world. And you can't really say any different considering that Doflamingo WAS a Celestial Dragon, and that was literally the main factor in his behavior."

As Alex said that the king and those present in the throne room fell silent.

Even if Doflamingo's father left their status as Celestial Dragons behind to live as regular people, it didn't change the fact that driving force behind most of his actions was to either regain that lifestyle, or live as closely to it as possible. Not to mention how he'd literally blackmailed the World Government into turning a blind eye to the vast majority of his actions, otherwise Doflamingo would've never been allowed to rampage for as long as he did.

"Do you...intend to have us join this battle?" Doldo asked Alex after a moment of silence.

"Only if you want to." Alex said plainly, reducing some of tension the king felt.

"Truthfully, I can go and level the entire place right now if I wanted to. I'm just letting them build up their forces so that they can be at their strongest before we destroy them. Plus I've already got allies that'll attack the city with me, along with people from my own world. It's entirely on you if you join in or not."

With that said, Alex turned about and vanished from the throne room as he headed to his next destination.

The king blinked at his sudden disappearance, before directing his attention to his daughter as he asked, "so how was your date?"

...

"Now then..." Alex uttered as he appeared at the coast of Dressrosa, before pulling out the magic compass.

"Where is the Moby Dick?"
