This will allow me to publish even more chapters, do special events, and let me know you guys are enjoying it! Also, there is more of a stat involved part of the system that has been introduced in the later chapters(63). Experience isn't visibly tracked until this point - up until then it is still gathered and slayers do grow slightly stronger from fights, but there's no way of knowing how much has been gained until the chapter it's introduced.]

The Art of War

War finally knocked the blade out of Xade's hand, which caused it to spiral through the air before becoming stuck in the ground.

Then with a mighty roar War delivered an uppercut to Xade's gut so powerful that it shattered all of the armor around the torso and sent him several feet into the air. Xades landed with a loud THUD - the ground all around him cracked under the pressure of the landing.

War crossed his arms and glowered at his opponent.

"It seems time has made you rusty, Xades." He spoke. "While you put up more of a challenge than the rest of them it's clear you are no longer even a small challenge for me."

Xades raised his head as his consciousness began to fade back into the crevices of Iris's mind.

"You...will have your challenge yet, Doxeus." With that, Xades faded and Iris returned once more.
