This will allow me to publish even more chapters, do special events, and let me know you guys are enjoying it! Also, there is more of a stat involved part of the system that has been introduced in the later chapters(63). Experience isn't visibly tracked until this point - up until then it is still gathered and slayers do grow slightly stronger from fights, but there's no way of knowing how much has been gained until the chapter it's introduced.]

On the Edge of Breaking

Iris began to go in and out of reality.

She lost track of how many times she's been injected with angel blood - once she starts to come through, Gray would hold very brief conversation with her. Once the effects would start to wear off, she would just be injected once more and the process restarts.

Iris hoped that at some point the spirit of the armor would awaken again, but whether it was the constant dosages or something else the spirit never emerged. She didn't even hear it's voice.

But she definitely heard Gray's.

As Iris tumbled, barely coherent, within her own subconscious his voice echoed from every direction:

"To serve, is the greatest duty."

"The Gods created us and so we owe them our very lives!"

"The greater good is always greatest."

"Freelancers only seek the destruction of all that is pure!"
