**Chapter 69: Unstoppable**

Bane's body emitted strange noises, sounds that ordinary people couldn't hear at all. These were the wails of evil spirits, audible only to those with heightened senses.

The flesh and blood of Bane's followers seemed to be gnawed at by invisible fangs, twisting and deforming until they became part of the giant Bane.

The scene was both terrifying and brutal.

Every muscle fiber on Bane's body was drenched in sin.

"Batman! Haven't you longed to settle the score between us? Come on!" Bane waved his massive, inhuman hand that could easily grasp a water tank, beckoning Batman.

Even the mere sound of his evil-laden voice made Batman feel dizzy.

In a way, it was a mental attack.

But in the next moment, Batman suddenly realized that a towering, imposing figure appeared in front of him, blocking the oppressive force coming from Bane.

Atreus slightly turned his head, glancing at his wild father. "Grab your gear, use whatever packs the biggest punch."

Atreus didn't bother changing his voice, which sounded entirely out of place with the suit he was wearing, making the whole situation feel quite odd.

"Got it!"

Historically, this was just supposed to be a boring boxing match between Batman, who had miraculously healed his broken back, and Bane.

But this time, things had escalated. Even though Batman still wanted to settle their personal grudge, Gotham's safety had to come first.

Batman turned to leave, but after only a few steps, he suddenly felt the sharp rush of air behind him.

He hesitated for just a moment, then continued on his way, his pace undeterred.

He was a cold man.

Oddly enough, despite his coldness, he always chose to believe in humanity, and as a result, he was often the one who got hurt.

But this time, something was different.

A massive crane hook, the kind that could easily lift even Bruce Wayne's supercar, came spinning through the air toward Batman's back.

Yet just as the giant hook reached Atreus's side, he delivered an unremarkable left punch.

"Thud!"

With a dull thud, the massive hook was knocked off course, still maintaining its momentum but veering 30 degrees away, smashing a nearby collapsed stone slab into pieces.

Watching the debris fly, Batman, who hadn't looked back, rarely stopped in his tracks. His once sharp eyes filled with confusion: *Is this kid really mine?*

But he only paused for a split second before disappearing into the battlefield's edge, headed for his Batplane.

Bane—or rather, at this moment, Bane resembled the Abomination from *World of Warcraft*, a monstrous creature sewn together from countless corpses.

Bane's booming voice echoed, "Hey! You're Kratos, right? You interrupted my fight with Batman. Do you know what that'll cost you?"

Kratos grinned, and his rugged face instantly exuded a fierce aura. He tilted his head slightly, "Am I supposed to apologize for stealing your kill? Oh, but it seems like you're not even human anymore."

Unlike Batman, who didn't like to waste words, Kratos had a sharp tongue that could infuriate anyone.

"Idiot! You're lucky you have a strong body. When you become part of me, I'll make sure you have front-row seats to watch me deal with Batman!"

With that, a massive stone flew through the air, fast and fierce, producing an explosive sound. Although it missed its target, the sheer force behind it was undeniable.

Atreus moved even faster than Batman, weaving through the rubble, leaving long afterimages in Bane's vision.

"Ha!" Noticing Atreus's approach, the giant Bane swung a wide left hook.

As Bane missed, warmth suddenly enveloped his body.

Thermite grenades had just delivered some heat.

But...

*Sizzle!*

The more than 2,000-degree Celsius flames scorched Bane's decaying flesh, filling the air with the sickening stench of charred meat, easily detectable from dozens of meters away.

Yet Bane walked through the ruins as if nothing had happened, occasionally picking up large stones and hurling them at Atreus's direction.

Atreus quickly assessed the situation—while the flames did some damage, it wasn't enough to matter.

But he didn't seem too concerned.

If Bane could throw things, so could he.

Tons of heavy stones were hurled unceremoniously at Bane.

One side couldn't land a hit, while the other seemed almost invulnerable.

two appeared to be at a stalemate.

Just then, the Batplane appeared in the sky.

As soon as Batman's high-tech jet arrived, it greeted Bane with a fiery welcome.

*Whoosh!*

A 180mm missile, weighing 100 kilograms!

Four of them in one go!

After seeing Batman use non-lethal weapons so often, Atreus had almost forgotten that Wayne Enterprises was, after all, a defense contractor.

War-profiteering tycoons could do whatever they pleased!

When Atreus saw Batman launch those missiles, he couldn't hold back any longer. His skin was hardened, not tank armor! And now, not only was Bane facing the wrath of his own son's inheritance, but Atreus might be caught in the crossfire too!

"F**k!"

Just as Atreus dove for cover, the missiles, trailing long fiery tails, hurtled toward the giant Bane.

In a continuous series of deafening explosions, Atreus, using his extraordinary senses, could feel the giant surrounded by flames and destruction, his body disintegrating.

From the height of a three-story building, Bane's size was instantly reduced by half.

The tough flesh on Bane's chest was blasted apart, scattering into countless pieces.

For a moment, Atreus felt doubtful: *Is that it!?*

It was as if the Batplane was personally demonstrating to Atreus: "All fear comes from a lack of firepower!"

Just as the third missile was about to strike Bane's face, aiming for his signature trapezoid mask, the surface of the Wayne missile suddenly ignited with a ghostly flame, as if it had been instantly consumed and assimilated by the flames of Hell itself.

Without a sound, the missile turned into a dark green comet, tracing a slow, eerie arc, veering away from Bane and crashing into the ruins behind him.

*Boom boom boom!*

All the other missiles missed their mark!

"Hmm?" Batman couldn't believe it. He sharply pulled the joystick, causing the Batplane to perform an elegant maneuver, flying behind Bane at an angle.

The 20mm autocannons immediately unleashed their deadly barrage.

This time, the rounds were no non-lethal ammo.

Every single one was a tungsten-core armor-piercing round!

The dense volley of autocannon fire pounded Bane's massive frame, causing a series of explosive thuds.

Blood and flesh splattered everywhere, the scene was terrifying. But as Batman continued firing, he realized that Bane's body was growing even larger.

Countless zombies sprinted toward Bane, merging with the monstrous giant and forming new layers of flesh armor.

The Batplane's ammo was limited. Holding down the trigger felt exhilarating now, but later, resupplying would be a pain.

The biggest problem was that the Batplane's attack wasn't doing any real damage.
