Shinku changed into a new set of clothes consisting of the same black pants and sandles. Wearing a plain black haori and bandages wrapped around his abdomen with his black tool pouches strapped to his thighs.
"I assume that since you have sentience, you have a name..."
Unsealing his Katana, Shinku sat down on his bed and asked in an annoyed tone. Though he would rather not deal with the sentient blade, it was imperative that he understand his tools completely.
"..."
"I can also snap you in half and find another Katana."
The blade rattled and emitted a dark aura of chakra.
"You can call me Nobu."
"Great, Nobu. From what I can remember, you were by my side. What happened before my memory loss?" Seeing Nobu was at least somewhere cooperative, Shinku got to the point and began asking questions.
"...
I'm sorry, but my sentience wasn't awakened until recently after absorbing enough chakra. Though I do recall fragments of a wielder before you."
Hearing her response, Shinku frowned, unsatisfied with the response.
"Alright... where are you from then? I could at least find some clues there."
The room remained silent for several moments as Nobu recalled her past.
"The blood mist village..."
A look of confusion spread across Shinku's face. He's heard rumors of the bood mist, their unconventional training, the strength of the second Mizukage... and the seven swordsmen of the mist.
On Odin's list of monsters, the mist was in a rather good standing.
"I see. Even if the answers I'm looking for can't be found there, paying the Mizukage a visit should be exciting." Shinku smirked at the thought of the battle that would ensue if he did so.
"While I'll admit you're strong, you should undo those seals before engaging in a battle with the Mizukage or any Shinobi near his and the Raikage's strength." Nobu advised making Shinku grin even wider.
"I'm well aware the Raikage was already injured by the assassination squad from Taki. It was the reason I was able to get in and out of the village back then. But even if he wasn't, if it wasn't for the Hachibi, I would have already killed him still."
Shinku grumbled, remembering how difficult the Hachibi was of an opponent for him with his strength sealed.
'Still, it would have been nice to know I couldn't actually go all out. I would have made different moves and wouldn't have antagonize the two like I did.'
"Moving on. I'm already aware that you can suck chakra like a parasite, sharing said chakra with me in more ways than just healing, I assume. What else are you capable of? I'd rather know ahead of time what I'm able to do in a fight."
. . .
. .
.
Having spent an hour figuring out what Nobu was capable of, Shink teleported out of Yugakure and rushed through the forest, leading toward the port town he had first arrived from.
With his speed, it only took a few minutes to arrive at the port.
Reaching the docks, Shinku unsealed the ship he 'borrowed' from Iroh. Boarding, Shinku created a few clones and sent them off to take care of sailing the ship as he stared off into the horizon.
"Uzushiogakure... Akame... Just what the hell are you hiding from me." My thoughts drifted to the only three months of my memory I could remember spending with Akame in Uzu.
While I won't deny that her feelings for me are real, she's hidden more information about my existence than I once thought.
It didn't take long for my clones to get the ship moving, and we sailed off back to Uzushiogakure. The village with the answers I in part, left to find.
Heh. It's funny how I was almost like a little kid, tricked by some honey words, and the thought of you wanting to protect me. But I'm not the one in need of protection.
. . .
. .
.
After an entire day at sea and navigating my way through the whirlpools surrounding Uzu, the village docks slowly came into my view.
The village lights eliminated the starless night, guiding my path forward.
As the ship drew closer, the cheers and joyful shouts filled my ears. The festive aura surrounding the village annoyed me to no end.
'Hmm. It's been what? Half a year since I left this place? And somehow, I already regret coming back.' It didn't take me long to dock the ship, and it seemed my presence was sensed since the cheers had quite down and the aura shifted.
Well, it's not like I was hiding my presence anyway.
Stepping off the ship, I noticed a few dozen of the villagers made their way toward me, accompanied by the familiar chakra signatures of Irole, Shitatama, and Chukyu.
Strangly, Akame and Akahana never moved from her house. I bead of sweat dripped from my brow as I sensed a faint third Chakra signature mixed with Akahana's.
'...'
'Well... fuck...'
The three men I wanted to see the very least approached with fierce glares accompanied by an ever growing crowd.
"That's him, isn't it?"
"Why did he come back?"
"Monster..."
"Demon..."
"Why couldn't he just die out there?"
"Just look at him..."
"He doesn't belong here..."
"He's going to get us all killed..."
"Get us killed? That bastard would do it with his own hands if not for the Uzukage's family."
Sigh... Nothing changes. Honestly, that last guy's right. If not for Akame, I would have thrown a tantrum and ripped some heads off.
Place them on a pike...
Burn their bodies...
"So great to see you, Iroll, Shitatama, Chunky!"
"Shinku..." Iroh sucked his teeth, seeing his ship for the first time in so long. His precious baby is home after being defiled by the brat in front of him.
"Iroh." Shiratama stopped Iroh from moving any further as he directed his gaze toward me. "What brings you back here, Abomination."
"Hmm. Should I be offended? Old-timer, I left for two reasons. The first was because I hate all of you, and the second is because I wanted answers." My chakra pulsed, and my vision brightened up in the dimly lit night.
Noticing my shift, the three immediately placed their hands on the hilt of their swords.
"Like I said, abomination..."
Shiratama shot a glare and flared his Chakra.
"I came back here for only one reason, the answers I left for have been here this whole time. Ain't that right?" I grinned as my gaze locked onto the three men. while I hated them, my goal wasn't a battle... at least not now.
"Chikyu, Iroh..." Shiratama drew his Katana along with Iroh and Chikyu as they redied themselves for a fierce battle.
"You're in my way." I could hear another voice speaking with me, one more frightening than my own, but also one I've heard a few times already.
Pulling out a Kunai from my pouch, the three came at me together, moving to slash my limbs off. Just as they arrived before me, I hurled the Kunai toward where I could sense Akame's and Akahana's Chakra signature.
Taking note of the four others that recently joined the two.
Without any trace, I vanished from the docks, catching the Kunai mid-air. Flying over the village, I threw the Kunai once again at Akame's home.
