1 Chapter One: Sent to Another World?

"Ahh, finally, the day is finally over!" I say as i stretch my stiff limbs while walking out of the hell that I call my job. I work as a computer programmer for a place called INVO(random name i came up with) The pay is pretty good, I get 75,000 dollars a year. The problem are the higherups. Whenever we are working and have a set date to finish, about 4 days before the deadline, they go in to our offices, and scold us, asking why we aren't finished yet, and most the time they scold us, we usually are finished, but they do it just for their own entertainment. So today, after getting scolded for what seemed like the billionth time, I finally decided that I had enough, so I decided to quit.

As I walk towards my apartment, I spot an old antique shop, the one I passed everyday to get to work, and even though I don't really care about antiques, I decide to go inside to test my luck, seeing as how there are people out there who have found famous artists paintings, bought them for about 10 bucks, and ended up selling them for thousands of dollars.

As I enter, I see an old man walking around, dusting off shelves full of old looking antiques. Hearing the door open, the old man walks up to me, extends his hand for a handshake, to which I return, and says.

"Hello there young lad, Im Ted, the owner of this antique shop, nice to meet you. What kind of antiques are you looking for? Paintings? Dishes? Books? We have all kinds of different things!"

"Actually, im just here to look around. I usually pass by here to and from work, so I got curious and decided to enter."

I respond politely to the old man, to which he responds by saying.

"Well, look for me if you need anything!"

After wandering around in the store for a while, picking up a few things here and there to inspect them closer, I finally stop at a beautiful painting of a giant green tree, and after turning the painting over to the back, I spot what is most likely the name of the painting, World Tree. Feeling mesmerized by the painting, I didn't notice the old man standing next to me before he spoke.

"You find something you like?"

Startled, I quickly turn towards the voice, but after realizing it's just old man Ted, I take a deep breath to calm my self down, and say

"Yes, I have. This painting is....mesmerizing, to say the least."

After looking around for a bit more, I decide not to buy anything else, and after paying for World Tree, I leave the antique shop.

As Im walking across the street, painting in hand, I hear the blaring roar made from a semi-truck whenever they honk, and as I turn my head, I see a semi barreling down the road, doing at least 70 mph, and after looking closely, I can see the driver asleep at the wheel. Seeing that I not going to be able to make it out in time, Im about to start rethinking my life decisions, when the painting starts to glow bright green, and starts to expand. When its about 5 times as tall and wide as me, it stops expanding, and shoots towards me, fully engulfing me within.

After an unknown amount of time, I wake up lying on a bed, after looking around for a few minutes for the world tree painting and not having any luck, the door to the room bursts open, and in comes a beautiful young lady wearing what appears to maid clothing. She stares at me in shock, before screaming in suprise.

"Young Master! Your awake! Oh, what a joyous day! Quick! Get up and let me dress you! We must tell Old Master and Old Madame that you have awoken!"

As she continues to rant on and on, I butt in and say.

"Hey, can you tell me where I am? And why? Also, who is this young master your speaking of? Definitely not me, thats for sure!"

My response is definitely not something she was expecting, and as if thinking something grim, her face turns pale, and after forcefully dressing me, even though I said I could do it myself, she grabs me by the arm and drags me through many twisting and turning hallways with many intersections, and after taking one last right, she stops in front of a large door, walks up to it, and knocks gently.

"Come in."

A man says from the other side of the door in a voice that could send chills down your spine, and as im about to run away, the beautiful maid opens the door, and pulls me in with her. Seeing me, the mans eyes widen, and after testing many theories to see if he is dreaming or not, he gets up, and slowly staggers over to me, with his hands stretched towards me, they land on both of my shoulders, and he says, visibly shaken.

"S-son! Your...Awake!"

As he says that, he pulls me into a hug, as he finally breaks down, crying, as he mutters to himself.

"Three year! Oh, it's been three years since you've been in a coma! But now....Your finally awake!"

As for me? Well, I just stand there, motionless, trying to figure out whats going on, such as, what happened to the painting? Where am I? And why? As Im stuck in my own thoughts, the man, seeing me not say anything, turns towards the maid, and asks.

"Old Master, its like this, when I came into his room this morning to do the daily check to see if he was awake, he was sitting up on his bed, looking around aimlessly, me, thinking he was just confused after waking up from such a long coma, waved it off, and after I told him to get up so I could dress him, he looked at me and asksd multiple questions, such as where he was at, why, and so forth. Old Master, I think that because of the battle three years ago that put him in the coma to begin with, not only destroyed his entire cultivation, but might have also caused brain damage, and other things, such as amnesia."

Hearing this, Old Masters face turns pale. After thinking it over, it seems like he has thought it over, as he says to the maid.

" Well, his childhood wasn't all that good any way, and now that his memories are gone,

he can always make new, and better, memories. Hell, his old memories might even come back through the passage of time. Helen, can you please go get Linda for me please?"

After Helen leaves, the man who is supposedly my dad in this world tells me to sit down opposite of him, to which I oblige.

"So, I suppose you have some questions that need to be answered, right? Well, ask away!"

Hearing that he's going to answer my questions, I silently sigh in relief, and say to him.

"Uh, well, so your my father, right? Well, can you tell me where I am, and why? Also, can you tell me who I am?"

Hearing my questions, he smiles, as he says to me.

"Hmmm, okay, so, first of all, yes, I am your father, second, you are on planet Seras, in the Berio Province, Fu Clan Main Branch house. You are here because you have been born and raised here, and there is no reason to move. Your name is Shang Fu, and my name is Huang Fu, the Fu Clan Head."

After a few more minutes of talking and getting my questions answered, I found out that, three years ago, I got ganged up on by about 15 people from the Shu Clan. I ended up killing 12 of them, but by then, I was already so wounded and fatigued that I couldn't dodge a club to the head and a sword to the dantian, which ended up crippling my cultivation and putting me in the three year coma that I just woke out of.
