Marlowe strode purposefully towards Alex, her white uniform billowing in the morning breeze. As she reached him, she stopped and folded her arms across her chest, a playful glint in her stern eyes.
"Well, well, well, It sure was a shock when you vanished from school, Alex. Graduating and becoming a hero all in one go, huh? Talk about leaving a legacy behind."
A teasing smile spread across Alex's face. "Hah, you miss me, don't you, Marlowe?" he quipped, unable to resist the playful jab.
Marlowe scoffed, emitting a sound that resembled a strangled laugh. "Miss you? Not even a single bit. But hey, thanks for that magic-boosting pill. I finally gave it a try, and let me tell you, it's like my sound magic got a whole new gear!"
A genuine smile bloomed on Alex's face. "Good to hear it, Marlowe. How's school treating you?"
