Chapter -3. Gods of the West (1)

The two horses were walking through the forest. They were riding for nearly an hour now.

Yog's horse was carrying a large bag. Adair didn't knew what was in the bag.

"We will reach Mahalaga in aproximatly one hour." Adair said, looking on the map.

Yog didn't respond.

"Hey! Yog!"

He turned around. "What?"

"Is everything okay with you?" Adair asked.

"Yes. I just think we're being watched!" he replied.

"By whom?"

"I don't know! But it's no human!"

Adair opened a bag and took out a bread. She was hungry. "I think you're imagining!"

Then she felt something cold in her bag.

"BEHIND YOU!" Yog shouted. She turned around and looked in empty eyeholes. A man was sitting behind her, on her horse.

"How are you...?" she shouted and tried to grab the sword she picked up in the tavern. But the man behind her was faster. He grabbed the sword.

Adair saw no other possibility and jumped off the horse falling on the muddy ground.

Yog stopped his horse too and jumped off. The man was still sitting on the horse. Although he looked really old, he was still very muscular. He has a long white beard, was bald and wore a yellow robe, that made him look like a monk.

"Who are you?!" Adair shouted.

The man didn't replied.

"Hey!" Yog shouted. "Who. Are. You. Do you work for Ethel?"

The man still didn't replied.

In an instance Yog had drew his sword and reached the man. He tried to attack him, but, even though Yog was extremely fast, the man suddenly grabbed his arm, stopping his attack.

"What the..." Yog was confused.

Then a sword scratched over the chest of the man, cutting a part of his robe. Adair noticed the red Amulet.

Yog smiled. "I see. Another 'Servant'!"

"A what?" Adair asked confused.

"What God are you serving?" Yog shouted.

The man still didn't responsed.

"Judging from your Amulet, you are serving the God of the West!" Yog said.

Finally the man jumped down from the horse.

"You're talking too much" the man said with a deep voice.
