The Dry Graceful Land pt. 2

Following the order I gave, Revian sped up, drowning half his body inside the ground then rode as fast as a speeding missile. I think there's a weapon like this back in the Shattered World.

Named, the Torpedo.

Revian moved some of his gigantic kokkradrium thorns onto his head, creating a horn-like lance, ready to penetrate the enemy line and their cannons.

But the Uhndaks of this Savannah are a bit more experienced in hunting than their cousins in Kendang. The cannon crew then brought a bunch of large wooden spikes, and stick them to the ground with its head facing towards Revian.

"Ha! As if those woods can pierce a dragon's armor!" Chiya pridefully shouted with a huge grin on her face.

But all of a sudden, a maroon aura began to coat all those spikes, making them covered by chaos energy, which can disturb the balance of even a holy metal such as kokkradrium.

"Death Almighty…" And just like that, her smile faded away.

"You speak too soon miss scholar." Anna monotonously mocked the oldest member of this team.

"Revian, halt!" I almost scream at the top of my lungs.

He caught the panic and immediately held his movement, braked his speeding gesture right before those spikes were able to scratch his skin and pseudo-horn.

But the cannons have finished reloading, and their bore starts glowing madness, indicating the next attack is about to be delivered.

*Bam!*

Each of the cannons fired, spewing their entrails directly at us. Revian quickly reshapes his pseudo-horn into a large shield to cover his face and us inside of his room.

Those chaos-coated cannonballs are so resilient, even the dent at the shield created by them can easily be seen from this room facing the backside of the shield.

"Forsaken Cinder! Those things are dangerous!" Even I feel a tiny bit of fear from it.

Regardless, Revian wasn't yet finished with his approach. The beast raised his front feet high while chanting a spell, readying for the rage of his skill.

"(Horn Fence)"

"Minang Pacipto!"

With a strong force, he stampedes the ground, rendered it tremble till even the Savannah Unhdaks lose their footing and began floating mid-air.

Then 9 giant kokkradium spikes rise mightily, thrusting the cannon violently sending them far away from their nest, leaving them unusable at least for the rest of this battle.

"Woah! Nice one big guy!" I said excitedly.

However, instead of retreating after having their artillery trashed, the Uhndaks ran in droves towards us with their weapon raised. The Knife Holder immediately coated all of those shorties' weapons, and the swarm began to surround us from every direction.

*Froze!*

Although before they're able to strike our dragon with their energized spears, waves of ice energy rain over them mercilessly.

I saw Althea still riding from afar, and on top of her, a bunch of ice monkeys carried an ice shield each, that faced towards our location.

"Everyone bailout! Time to engage in combat!"

The four of us inside Revian's room then hopped out and raised our weapons to face the attacking enemies.

"Revian, aggro!"

Hearing that, the beast screamed his battle cry as loud as he possibly could, activating the highly dangerous skill possessed by the Draconus family.

*Roar!*

[Absolute Provocation].

Every Uhndak's gaze now fixated upon him, and Revian cast his metamorphosis to revert back to his human form, raising his kokkradrium shield as our team's tank.

While that happened, Hazana started sending her lightning, chaining from one Uhndak to another, zapping them with high voltage, until they're paralyzed, unable to act against our attack.

By our, I mean me and Hada. Waves of fire and ice crowded the battlefield, burning and frostbiting many of those Taanji who bothered us.

Yet, of course, it won't ever be that easy.

*Zoom!*

A huge maroon spell was heavily cast at the center of the battlefield, exactly where our tank resides. It was a purging spell that cancels the effect of Revian's [Absolute Provocation] and unfixed the gaze of the Uhndaks.

"This could turn grim if we're not careful."

I can handle myself just fine, but Chiya and Hazana who don't have much experience in combat might be in grave danger with how many Uhndak are present in this field.

"Hada, they've shut down our tank's core, I need you and Felisha's help protecting both Sky Scientists!" I said to my brother to the device with an agitated tone in my voice.

"Will do." He replied.

As the Uhndaks began to target us who are defensively weaker than Revian, Althea came rushing towards us, trucking all of those short fuckers standing in her way with her huge body.

That's probably such a rude thing to say to a good girl such as Althea, but the sight is still as fascinating as ever.

"Sis, form a phalanx."

Said Hada to Falisha as they both hopped out of Althea's room, and the she-dragon also revert to her human form.

"Okay~"

The ice girl then raised her [Sheep Cane] high, and cold mist arose to emit, spreading widely around our position with Revian at the center. The mist began to crystalize and light started to flicker amongst it.

"(Spear Orangutan)"

"Pygmaeus Sparta!"

All the mist gathered, solidifying into ice-made armored orangutans with a long sharp pike held on their longhand. The primates then formed their group into phalanx formation, where they lined themselves tightly to one another with shield and spearhead faced towards the enemy.

They created a giant circle in which protects us from upcoming melee attacks.

"Huhuhuhu! Hehehehe! Hahahaha!"

Out of nowhere a loud masses of hysterical laughter started polluting the air with their madness. I saw the Uhndaks grow restless as if they know what's about to come.

"Is that…"

"Ah yes… the thug of the Savannah."

I saw a swarm of doglike beasts gathered, surrounding not just us, but also the Uhndaks.

"Yo Bro-Highness, is that what I think it is?" Hada nervously glared towards me, I can see the sweat dripping profusely from his forehead.

"Yeah… spotted hyenas… I knew I recognized that laugh."

Although what bothers me aren't the beast itself, or how numerous they are.

With them came an army of bipedal warriors with spears and bows on their hands. They have human skins with a color of desert sand, although a bit furry and spotted black all over the place.

They don't wear much but things that are enough to cover their crotch and chest (for the female at least). They wore a mask shaped like a hyena made out of… metal(?), also a headdress from various birth feathers.

"Are they a Taanji, Your Highness?"

"I don't know… but I can be sure they aren't friendly."
