Meet the Team pt. 1

The now burned lady over here, unfortunately, made too much noise. She screamed at the top of her lungs, pulling the attention of the entire class.

Realizing those stares I quickly remove the scarf off her, along with the fire burning her upper body and face. But even after that, the expression that comes out of her was… unholy.

Her eyes rolled high, and her mouth grins cheekily with a set of laughter as if she enjoyed every second of it. Every classmate of mine let out a different set of reactions, but me? I'm shocked beyond belief.

I know I didn't set her ablaze that badly, but there's not a single crisp to be found nor a burn mark. The only trace left was just her skin turned reddish, even her hair looks brand-new.

"Forsaken cinder…"

What's happening!? She's a Sky Scientist for Sun's sake! The weakest race there is in this New World. Even if she came from the mainline, the trail should have been more obvious!

*!!!*

Suddenly the whole room fell fragrant. With it, a flash of cherry blossom-colored light blinked, flying dartingly from the lecture hall entrance to the shoulder of this ashen-skinned lady.

The luminance spread and cover her entire wounds; healing them clean in an instant.

I shifted my gaze to see what's happened. Down there stood a short girl, with a bow lifted on her left hand, indicating that she was the one who shot the magic arrow. Her pinkish white hair fluttered in the wind for which came from outside the classroom.

Her bright pink eyes judge us silently, as she then turned her bow back into a piece of holy diamond ring, which sits comfortably at her left index finger.

"Your chair… please sit on it."

She then closed the door tight and walk gracefully into the center of the class. In her hand she held a yellow and purple-shaded clipboard, indicating her status as a lecturer.

"That's Mrs. Senaria right?"

Asked Anna as she leans her head closer to mine.

"I thought so too."

From her peach-colored skin, it's easy to tell that she is a Sarma (Nature tribe). Her looks resemble that of a teenager, yet the way she glares filled with wisdom shows that she's older than any of us here.

I mean… a LOT older.

"Greetings… and salutation… the name… Senaria, your supervisor."

She took some time between the words to connect a sentence.

Miss Senaria is a humanoid flora called Nu Manah, a combat class of Sarma, known for their skilled hand in the arts of bow and arrow. Their physical growth rate, however, is 3 times slower than us humans.

If I counted correctly, she should be on 42's right now, which explains why she looks like a 14 years old girl.

"Before the class… started… all of you needed to…divide into… 4 teams."

The lady then pulled out a marker and started writings our names down… slowly.

"Let me help you with that Mrs. Senaria." A sky-colored white hair girl then stood up and assist her with those writings.

"Thank you." Said our supervisor, as she gives her marker to the girl.

On the board then lied the name of every archstudent in this class, which is divided into 4 teams, 8 people each. The girl then gets back to her seat, while Mrs. Senaria instructs us to gather with our team members.

The formation of the table in this room suddenly changes as if it's mechanized by magic (probably is). Four big circles then appeared for each team to fill their members in.

After the class gets divided, she starts giving us a set of papers, containing our bio and entrance test results, which were accompanied by a detailed explanation of our strengths, weaknesses, and how to improve them.

"Blaze me… look at all these numbers!"

On the front page of those papers, lies our statistics.

I have never seen my ability measured by numbers before, I don't even know the meaning of any of these. I mean it looks interesting… but I need to study it more to judge the value.

"30 minutes… introduce yourself… to the team, then… we start the… lecture." Said Mrs. Senaria as she pulled out a half-filled hourglass and left the sands flowing down.

"Ah well, every team needs a start… and introduction seems like a wise thing to be it."

Of the 8 members of my team (including myself), I knew about almost all of them, except for the 2 Sky scientists whom I have only seen for the first time in this Lecture Hall.

"Why don't you start first bro-highness." Suggested Falisha whose seat is across mine.

"As you wish." I proceeded to stand tall, giving the whole team easier access to see me.

"The name Sahasya, but you guys can call me whatever you wanted, I'm a proud Santi Waraney of the Fire tribe, oh please don't be too formal to me, treat me as you see fit."

Right after, I lift the front page of my bio up for the whole team to see. It only contains formal information about myself so I thought showing it is a smart thing to do.

"I can't get the grasp of it, but your statistic looks kind of scary, Your Highness…"

Anna commented after witnessing the numbers displayed there.

"Really? I don't even know the meaning of any of those." I replied.

"None of us do, this numeric system was newly born along with the Academy," Hada added with a serious look on his face.

"Anna, follow your prince's step." The boy asked, he seems pretty invested in all of this.

"Will do." As I'm back to the comfort of my seat, Anna then got up and starts introducing herself.

"My name is Anna, you can call me… Anna. I carry the weight of Ina Waraney, the graceful butterfly dancer from the Fire tribe, it's a pleasure to be meeting all of you."

Like myself, she proceeded to show her front page after a slight bow.

After seeing her statistics, I can finally digest what she meant by mine was scary.

"It is understandable why Anna's total statistic is somewhat lower than you Sahasya, but help me o Winter… what with that speed difference!?"

Hada pointed that out with a look of pure shock on his face. The entire team appeared to have the same reaction as he did.

"Yea… about that…"
