A proper magic circle and some talismans

For the last time before entering the academy, Eric waited with Nyx for the test to start. She had made massive progress in her necromancy and soul magic, she had even gotten a skill called {spirit weaponry} which she had been practicing regularly since she got it. After a little while a scholarly-looking demon stepped up to the podium and began to talk, "Today you will be tested by making three different talismans, you will be given a booklet to read over for half an hour that has the basic knowledge for runes, talismans, and formation, once you have finished it you will be given three hours to make three different talismans,

You will be graded on the difficulty of the talisman, its quality, and its power. The time will start once all the booklets have been handed out." After saying this he stepped off the podium and walked away before a group of demons started handing out small booklets, After getting his booklet Eric started reading as he was interested in runes and formations as he might be able to use them to upgrade his refining and sacrificial magic circles.

After finishing the booklet he walked over to the work table and grabbed the brush he had been given before dipping it in beast blood and righting one of the talismans. The three talismans that he had chosen were the talisman of iron defense, the talisman of lightning speed, and the talisman of flaming vitality. The first two were self-explanatory, one boosted your defense and one boosted your speed, the last one was a bit different though. The talisman of burning vitality would use your life force in exchange for a massage boost in power, the downside was that it would not stop burning your life force until you were dead.

The first two talismans had average difficulty, but the last one was known for being hard to make and much harder to make high quality, but after just two hours he had completed all there with no difficulty. With that done he started to work on his own personal formations. After a quick look over he realized that the refining and sacrificial magic circles were just the basic outline of runes, after realizing this he started to work on improving them by adding auxiliary runes such as efficiency and power. Once this was done he started improving the defining and sacrificial runes themselves. Once the hour was up he had fully upgraded the magic circles into formations adding {refining formation} and {sacrificial formation} to his status.

Just as he put the finishing touches to his new formations the judge arrived at his table, picking up the talismans he looked them over before putting them back down and walking up to the podium to announce the results, and to no one's surprise Eric was- wait, "in second place is eric, and lastly in the first place is kline forail. That is all."

After hearing this Eric just walked over to Nyx and sat down before refining his energy as he could tell that he was close to a breakthrough. Seeing this Nyx looked over from the necromancy practice and said "Aren't you mad you didn't get first place?" Hearing this Eric looked up and said, "I have good news and bad news, The good news is that I have a way to make you a new body, the bad news is that I'm gonna need a full demon soul to make it and I just ate my last one." before smiling and going back to refining as Nyxs eyes went wide as she realized what he meant before going back to necromancy, a servant couldn't stop her master after all, she couldn't hide a small smirk though.

At night Eric left the room he had been staying in and started walking in a certain direction, After about half an hour he reached a small motel and changed into a full black coat before sneaking in and making his way into a certain demon's room. Covering the demon's mouth he tied than up and gaged them before climbing out of the window and going back to his room. Once he put the demon down he activated the sacrificial formation and started carefully removing the demon's soul, he wasn't lying about needing it to build Nyx's new body, it's just that his soul fire looked so hungry, and who was he to deny it some snacks? After the demon's soul was fully removed he just fed the body to the tree of flesh, it needs some snacks to after all.

Noe ready to make Nyx's new body he fed the complete soul to the soul fire so that it could 'clean' it for use. As it did that he took out some flesh and started refining it, Couldn't have Nyx's new body be weak now, could we? Once the flash was properly refined he started to use body magic to 'build' her new body, 6'2, long black hair, grey eyes, well-proportioned and curvy, and the other things a woman would need.

Once that was all done he collected the now clean soul and added it to the new body, It would make the body a 'living thing' but not at the same time so Nyx could still possess it but with no problems, Once that was all done he got to make the core, he planned to make it just like his but more magic-based, meaning that she would have more mana and magic based stats than him but less physical stats as a cost.

Once he was done he called Nyx over to give her the new body, seeing she circled it for a little while before looking over at Eric and saying, "So this is your type." Coughing a couple of times he looked up and said "What?" "I said, so this is your type."

"I hear you, but what makes you think this is my type?" "Because you made it, you have no idea what I looked like before and I'm just a skeleton with a cloak in this form so you have nothing to base it on." Staring at her for a second Eric just sighed and said, "It is my type, but I made it because I thought you might like it. and I can't have my servant looking bad can I?" "While I don't like you calling me your servant, I do like the body, thanks." As she said she floated into her new body and activated her power, rebirth.
