(CHAPTER 5: ELEMENTS)

"Haiya!"

Aiko does a round house kick, striking down the three bandits who is about to rob us just moments ago. They fell to the ground with a thud, as if bowling pins strike down by a cannonball. Another one tried to sneak up from behind but with a back flip, he was hit square in the chin. The force so strong that he was flung towards a tree, stuck within the branches and leaves.

"Done! Safe to go." She patted the dust on her cloak, before noticing a blood stain from one of those punks on her knee socks. She lick her finger before wiping it away. How come this she has so much difference towards different people? Where is that stupid bunny last night? Luckily I am on her side, if not by my look I wouldn't even survive round one.

"Hey, thanks but can you next time let me test out?" I step out and ask, it was quite embarrassing, for a girl to protect me all this time. But as I've said almost a million times ago, I'm weak. And I didn't even know what kind of beast power I have. "You needed what's call Power Stone?" "A Power Stone?" I asked, the hell is that thing. "Yeah a Power Stone. It is able to hint which power you got in simple symbols." "How many power are there to be precise?" I replied her answer with another question. "Infinite, so many that I am not sure myself. All I know is one can only gain one energy, that's a rule no one breaks. " She concluded

"What is your energy again?" I asked. "Melee fighters like me usually have Metal energy, we can harden parts of our body, either to attack or defend." She pulled down a part of her sleeve, and with a grunt, her arm turns metallic for a few seconds, before turning back. "But not too long." She let out a weak pant, looks like nothing last forever huh. The fuck is this philosophy.

"Where can I get a Power Stone though." I threw another question towards him. "You can buy one, but we have no money." She let out a bitter laugh. "We barely have enough money for food." "Wait." I suddenly remember something. "What if, they have money?" Both of us stare at the out cold bandits.

"That would be 500 gold, very nice items by the way." The lady boss take out a pouch filled with coins as Aiko hand in a pile of neatly fold cloth and some other items. "Thanks." I take the pouch with a swipe, before taking out twenty of the golden coins and hand it back. "One power stone." "Sure." She turn around and open a cabinet, before taking out a piece of item from it. It was like an emerald, but in grey in color, with a very weird looking hexagon carved in the middle.

After taking what we need, we immediately head out from the shop, we didn't wanted to stay any second longer, we didn't want any unwanted attraction. "Test it out! Test it out!" The moment we reach somewhere safe, Aiko urges, she seems even more excited than I do. "I know I know." I tried to act calm, but my shaking hands exposes my nervousness. Will there be any chances that I really had overpowered power?

Are there still any chance that this reincarnation didn't gone wrong before?

I am just about to find out.

"How, I mean what should I do?" I took out the Power Stone, but didn't know what to act. Should I stare at it? Hold at it? Worship it? How? "Give me your hand." She suddenly ordered. Without any hesitation I gave her my hand, and she put it close to her face.

Wait.

She opened her mouth.

Hold up.

And bit it down on my finger.

Luckily she was a bunny, not a tyrannosaurus rex, so there was just a small cut on it. "Gave me the stone." She lick her blood coated lips, suddenly stories of maniac serial killer across different dimension flashes in my mind, but I still gave her the Power Stone. She take the stone and place it beneath the cut, before squeezing out a drop of blood from the wound. As the drip of blood landed onto the Power Stone, it shone, the blood was levitated midair as if someone just switch off the gravity switch. Slowly but surely, an image started to form. The two of us closes our distance as our focus locked onto the image, revealing the big jackpot.

"Ting-!"

Suddenly an arrow shot out of nowhere, piercing and destroying the crystal before the final image was formed. According to the angle of the arrow, we turn around towards an oak tree behind us, where the attacker was supposed to be located.

"Careful!" Suddenly Aiko shouted, and pounces towards me, she metalize her arm the last second, as it successfully deflects an arrow from behind. "How?" I asked, I am almost a hundred percent positive that the attacker was supposed to be on that tree. "There are more than one of them?" "No." Aiko stood up, pulling me back on my feet. "I only detect one being moving.

As a gust of wind blows, sending the leaf to rustle, another arrow was taken aim.
