With a Student's New Day

On a sunny day in Tokyo, within a school, a student named Himiko Sato diligently pursues her studies to improve her life and support her two younger siblings. After their class ends, Himiko heads to the cafeteria to buy a meal. Once she makes her purchase, she leaves the school building and finds a tree to sit under. She takes out her pen and notebook, closes her eyes, and whispers a quick blessing before starting to eat.

"Thank you for the food," she murmurs softly.

Chapter 1 - A Devoted Life

After the time she has finished her meal, she writes a poem within her notebook.

"My wishes are to be blessed by Effort. The sacrifice of self-interest should not be disregarded. So that it can be likened to my endeavors, entrusted to my aspirations. The cry of a name in the darkness shouldn't allure the hardworking..."

Written in her notebook, after she finishes writing, she stands up from her seat and starts making her way back to the school. After their class time, they start to head home.

As Himiko walked, she went in a different direction to head to her job as a waitress. Upon arriving at the restaurant where she works, she quickly headed to the backdoor, making her way to the kitchen to put on an apron. After her preparation, a co-worker approached her.

"Hey!" the female co-worker greeted with a giggle.

now back to the moment

"Miss Akari?" Himiko inquired when she turned around. Akari replied with a smile and a wink.

"Wow, we arrived together this time, huh? Haven't I always been late and meet you every time at the backdoor when you're always about to serve a meal?" Akari said with a hint of playfulness in her tone.

Himiko nodded in agreement.

"Yes, good evening," she replied and then bowed respectfully. This was followed by Himiko taking three plates of food to serve to the customers. Akari also put on an apron to start working.

As they performed their tasks, they worked diligently, ensuring that each dish was served properly. And as the night fell and their work came to an end, with the departure of the customers and the completion of their duties, Himiko removed her work attire and headed out through the backdoor to go home. She began walking, and as she did, she was suddenly joined by Akari, who had just finished preparing as well.

"Ms. Himiko!" Akari called out as she walked closer.

"Are you heading home already?" She asked Himiko, who responded with a nod.

"And are you heading home too?" Himiko asked Akari.

"Oh, not yet~~ but maybe later because my family is having a celebration tonight," Akari replied with a smile.

"I see," Himiko said, then she bowed and greeted, "Enjoy your celebration."

"Thank you," Himiko added as she straightened up from her bow.

"I'll be heading off first. Take care on your way home," she said to Akari before resuming her walk

"wait!" akari suddenly called Himiko. Akari extended her hand for a handshake to Himiko before she left. Himiko raised her eyebrows slightly in surprise, but after a brief moment of silence, she accepted the handshake. Akari closed her eyes and smiled at Himiko as their hands met.

As Himiko continued walking, Akari remained behind, watching her with raised eyebrows and a sidelong glance. After a moment, she smiled, lifting her left hand in a playful wave. As Akari raised her arm and brought it level with Himiko while she walked, a small Rune Circle suddenly appeared on her Palm. She rotated her hand, and the Rune Circle followed the motion. She smiled again and her eyes glowed as she whispered the words PR/N: "Cursed Binding"

Following her words, a strong gust of wind suddenly surrounded their location, and a bright aura of light connected the two of them, spreading around them. Unnoticed to Himiko, a large creature appeared behind her, its body attached to hers. Himiko remained oblivious to everything happening, as it was beyond her sight and perception.

After the creature emerged, with only one eye, it placed its large hands on Himiko's sides, its tongues unfurling, and it let out a loud roar along with a powerful gust of wind that was released in Himiko's direction. This caused the light to intensify even further... As the light expanded, there was a sudden and intense heaviness that stopped Himiko in her tracks while she was walking. Her eyes widened, and with a sudden exhale, she felt as though she was being pulled downward by a strong force.

She looked around, but she saw nothing. in just a moment, After the light expanded, everything came to an end as the the strong winds and the light, both Akari and the creature behind Himiko vanished. As Himiko continued walking, nearing her home, she suddenly halted and looked back, disturbed by the unsettling feeling she had experienced. With nothing in sight anymore, she let out a sigh.

"I'm scaring myself again," she muttered to herself, then continued walking, heading back to her house.

"I'm home" She said softly as she entered their home, relieved to be back.
