Chapter 2 -Failed-

After orbit appeared before Earth, there are new things came with it such as possibilities or gifts, there was certain that everyone on Earth could evolve, but there was also limits, everyone could get stronger however, just to the point where their life spans increased, their health and physical abilities too, after the genes evolved some could run as fast as horse and jump high like kangaroo.

But for the people with positive genes, they had more possibilities to evolve beyond that which hardly to be found.

Edith followed the man in front of him, the messenger of the Junianus house, the one who lived for a very long time by gift.

The messenger wore a mask and black suit with a tall hat.

The two walked out from the square and got into the small white vehicle and flew away, at that time the water drops collided with the window, Edith stared outside looking at the rains in the hazy yellow sky.

Not long, the vehicle landed in front of a small building, Edith looked around and found that this building was stood afar from others, surrounded by green field and graves.

The building was simply a grey house, as the messenger knocked at it door, there was the ball floated in the air approaching Edith and the messenger, this ball was a camera and guard, the light scanned Edith body and the messenger before it flew back to the hole and opened the grey door.

It was raining, every steps Edith took caused the small water waved, as he went inside.

It was simply a storage however, the wall moved as the secret path was revealed, Edith followed the messenger downstairs and found the dungeon doors, the messenger stopped in front as he gave the white letter to Edith and walked away, the secret path door closed leaving only Edith stood alone in front the dungeon doors.

With a letter in his hand, Edith wore a stern expression as he opened the door, inside was the large room that couldn't see any wall because it was too dark and too far.

Only thing Edith could see was a path flooded by water on the ground, Edith didn't hesitate as he took steps further.

In the middle of the large room was a figure sat on the floor, the figure was covered by black robes and hood, Edith slowly approached him as the man looked at him, Edith handed the white letter to a man as he stood up and slowly observed Edith.

"You know who am I?"

"The gate keeper, the partner of my ancestor, the myth one, one of the sacred hero of Junianus family, the true alliance".

The man nodded as he took his hood off, revealed a middle-aged man with a sharp gaze, there were many scars on his face, and the red long hair with blue eyes, no wonder he was manly and handsome.

"Well said, as expected of heir of Junianus".

"Now, take your shirt of and sit down".

Edith took off his white shirt and threw it away, revealing a firm of back muscle as he sat down in the middle of the ground, the water couldn't reach here because a little slope.

The light from the roof sprayed down on his figure, as the man stood in front and handed him a small crimson-blood crystal which was shining a red light.

Edith received it and observed it before threw it in his mouth and closed his eyes.

The man placed his rough hand filled with scars on Edith head as he spoke out unknown language.

"XX-X--XXX"

Edith couldn't understand it but somehow he felt that something was happening inside his body, at first it was something new and fresh after a while he started to shook.

The pain slowly spread through his body, his veins and arteries, causing a worm veins appeared on his skin, Edith gritted his teeth as the sweats appeared.

The incredible pain swallowed his sense, as he did his best to bare it however, he couldn't stay completely still as he began to struggle on the white floor.

His skin turned red as the veins was dancing, this was a scary sight as he opened his mouth to scream.

"Ughhhhhhhhhh!"

"Arghhhhhhhh!"

Watching the scene in front, The man didn't blink or hesitate, he was just simply stared at the boy.

He had watched this scenes many times, every male heir need to went through this ritual.

At the big gothic building, a girl sat beside the window as she stared at the cloudy yellow sky outside, Felicia was wondering in her mind as the maid approached her from behind.

"Sorry brother".

"But you can't be the chosen one".

Felicia simply said with a blank expression as she walked away with the maid.

Maximus who was swinging his black sword in the battle field, killing other soldiers from another planet and creatures in the desert, as he cut the opponent head blood sprayed, Maximus stopped his movement as he looked at the direction of the city.

"Edith?"

However, another creature approached him as he continued his kills.

Edith who was laid on the floor, with veins on his body, however, he stopped struggling as he seemed to fainted.

Edith opened his eyes and he found that he was in another place, not the dark room surrounded with water but somewhere else.

It was all plain white, nothing except his own.

He looked around while trying to figure out where was he.

At that moment he saw someone appeared behind him, it was a white blurry figure with black hair, he couldn't see the figure clearly.

The figure sat on the white nothingness smiling at him.

"Yo, Edith"

"Who are you?"

"Hmmm, so you are kinda curious boy huh?"

Edith as the same, looking at the figure as he was trying to focus his eyes, however the figure was binding by something, he didn't know what is it.

"Where am I?"

"Hahaha, you are so curious huh?"

Edith didn't reply at that, he just walked towards the figure however, no matter how long he walked the distance didn't change.

"I came here to tell you, you were betrayed by those around you".

"What do you mean?"

"You failed, Edith"

"You're not the chosen one".

"What did you say?!"

"Oh what a pity, but I will help you"

"What are you talking about?!"

Edith lost his temper at this moment.

He couldn't keep his cool any longer.

"Be grateful human, God lend you a power".

At that moment the world around him collapse as he fell down to the nothingness trying to reach for something to hold.

Edith opened his eyes again, he was laid in the dark room with the man stared at him.

"You failed".

"What?"

"Negative genes".

Edith widened his eyes as he nodded with a gloomy expression and walked away.

Looking at the upset youth, the man turned away as he shook his head.

After Edith disappeared someone walked from the darkness.

"Do you satisfy? Second Prince".

The figure in a luxurious royal golden robes nodded.

He had a golden hair with a light blue eyes, The second prince of Junianus, Oriel.

"Thank you, Merlin. I appreciate your kindness, from now the throne will surely fall to me".

"Talented prince?"

"Genius of the royal?"

"Just an outcast brat with a whore mother!"

"Hahahahahaha, you're idiot, Edith!".

Oriel laughed hard, with a cruel expression.

Looking at the wicked prince, the man in hood, Merlin looked stern.

'Sorry kid, I have to do it'.

Merlin disappeared to the darkness, only the wicked prince laughing alone in the big room.
