A Failure

Alev tied up the vine rope into a couple of trees around, and with the end of its rope being held by the Death while still patiently waiting behind another tree and aligned with the way the monster came.

Alev understands if the Death can't be seen by Tina a moment ago. He just realized it now after 15 times he got reincarnated and seeing that occurrence for the first time, Although he doesn't understand why, but it seems obvious when he knows that the Death is not someone who supposedly lives in this world.

He is not one of the gods, but not to mention, he is the god's errand, who works in the realm of the gods, so to put it aside, his existence is just none exist in this world at the beginning even if he still can retain his power and use it, but he doesn't actually have a real body who ties with this world, and that's why neither any living creature in this world can see it beside Alev itself.

Using the advantage of it, Alev comes up with a plan by using him to tie up the vines into that monster and hope it will be enough to give them time to hinder its movement while they are going to escape further away from it.

He sure knows if that thing is not easy to defeat even when he impaled the thick root into its body, it just looks not even wounded by the attack and that monster is even going in rage chasing them.

That's why the only plan he comes up with is just the one that they can run away safely.

"Hey! That your cute friend and its cherished plant are already near!" The Death shouted as he observed them.

The monster is still looking aggressively trying to catch her, even right now the monster looks swinging around its roots with a quick whip trying to attack her.

"Tina! Just run forward." He shouted as he finished tying the vine into the last tree.

She looks around and doesn't know where the sound comes from, but the moment she knows that the sound comes from Alev's voice, she realizes that he must come up with the plan as she nods in understanding.

She gulped for a moment trying to believe it, she closed her eyes as she increased her speed, running forward.

"Now!" Alev shouted.

The Death followed by jumping into the monster's body. He tries to tie it into the body, but he doesn't see any perfect spot to do it. A time is ticking, he doesn't have a long enough vine rope to make a big enough loop to tie the entire body, and the more he goes further away, the rope he gets would become shorter.

He quickly tied it up tightly into some big root, he tightened it up again to make sure it's a tied end.

Supp!

The monster movement quickly forced to stop as it was being held by the vine rope, but its movement was rather odd because it was still forcing forward and whipping its roots trying to catch her even though Tina was a bit further away from it.

As Tina felt much safer and heard the strange sound from the monster not too close, she stopped by while she opened her eyes and looked back.

"You did it! You trapped that creature!" She cheered while she put a smile on her face.

Alev comes closer toward it as he grabs his chin while curiously looking at it. "Don't come near it, Tina, it looks like this creature is still targeting you!" He raised his hand as he held her to not come any closer.

The monster is still facing toward her no matter how close Alev was right now, it makes him even more suspicious of it. It does not just look like it was angry, but rather it feels more like hatred when seeing the monster in that current state.

Eventually, He is just not the only one who feels the monster is a bit odd, but the Death itself seems to see that strange thing too a couple of times ago, and seeing much closer to it makes him even more know what the monster is really into.

The Death feels a presence of magic energy around is becoming heavier, tingling in his mind, "Run away from here! I sense the presence of magic here has become strange!"

Alev put the warning to his attention as he quickly watched around with his magic eyes, but he didn't see any string of magic energy flowing oddly from the monster, but rather he saw the black string floating around Tina much more intensely.

He was shocked and fazed seeing that amount of black energy come through and slowly pierced her body.

Growl!

They hold their ears as they hear the scream that comes from the monster very loudly, deafen them.

Creak!

The monster forcefully pushes forward pulling out trees that hold its movement, and with that sturdy vine rope, it makes even a worse situation as the momentum makes the trees pull back closer.

Alev didn't see the trees coming through, and he doesn't have time to evade in time, and with that, he gets struck pretty badly in the back. He flew very fast as he landed on the tree and now his chest is getting hurt by the impact.

The two of them looked shocked when the tree struck him, but none of them could do anything because it happened too fast.

Blood comes out from his mouth while his body gets weaker dropping to the ground, his head feels dizzy as he is near unconscious with his sight now becoming blurred, but he still holds on when he hears a scream coming from Tina.

He felt time moving pretty slowly as he pushed his muscle to try to get up, and then, he saw the trouble that happened to Tina. She was already being caught by the monster and by the looks of it, he knows that creature is going to eat her alive.
