7 Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters

[Xavier's school for gifted youngsters, 3rd person POV]

"Well, this is quite the experience," Barry Allen, more commonly known as The Flash, speaks up after being transported in front of a vast mansion, albeit a partly destroyed one.

"I didn't expect to get an opportunity to travel to a different universe so quickly. Somehow I expected the place to look a lot more unique, though." Superman says, looking around him with an almost disappointed expression.

"This is still earth, even if an alternate one, it's not that different from our own world," Catwoman says, still not used to working together with the heroes. The past few weeks had been a wild ride for her, switching from stealing and evading heroes to hunting down criminals.

Her only solace was knowing that Pamela was having just as much trouble adjusting. Surprising Selina, however, the plant-loving woman looked a lot happier recently. After getting some good rep fighting criminals and numerous newspaper reports on her fighting side by side with Batman, people all over Gotham have started taking better care of plants and parks while the logging and oil companies have been put under pressure from both Poison Ivy's supporters and Bruce Wayne throwing around his billions.

Taking the lead, All Might calls the others to follow him and walks through the gate with a big sign reading 'Xavier's school for gifted youngsters' heading towards the mansion's front entrance. "Come on now, let us go see if we can track down the missing girl."

Nodding in agreement, Batman follows him with the others quickly falling into step next to him. On the way there, All Might caught the others up with everything discussed in the cafe.

Soon enough, the quintet reach the front entrance, where Ororo Munroe is already waiting, signaling them to hurry up. "Thank you for coming to help us. We should hurry to the professor's office. Scott has been kept busy trying to keep Logan from tearing Xavier's throat out."

Walking through the hallways, the group see children of all ages sitting against the wall, studying or sleeping, undoubtedly from parts of the mansion being destroyed and displacing its residents.

Jabbing at Batman, All Might criticizes him in a low voice "Smile a little, will you? These kids have just lived through a traumatizing experience, the last thing they need to see is a man walking around in a pitch-black bat suit and a constant frown on his face, glaring at everything."

Hearing All Might's words, Ororo chuckles and says, "You don't have to worry about something like that, the mansion gets destroyed like every other week, the kids are used to it by now."

Despite the woman's words, Batman does make a small effort to stop his glare.

Reaching the door of the headmaster's office, the sound of yelling becomes audible.

As Ororo opens the door, the group sees Wolverine break Xavier's table in half before shoving the others out of the way and storming out of the office.

"What's the deal with that guy?" Flash asks, not looking very happy about being pushed around.

"Sorry you had to witness that, it's a personal matter between us you don't have to concern yourself with. How about we discuss your mission here instead." Xavier apologizes and wheels his way to a corner with some couches.

Ororo goes to stand behind Xavier and Scott while Catwoman, All Might, and Flash take the couch opposite of them, with Batman and Superman standing behind.

"What have you got on this Jean Grey, any idea on where she could have fled to?" Superman starts by asking Xavier looking to finish this quickly before she gets the chance to kill any innocents.

"Well, that's the problem here. I have tried tracking her down, but she has managed to escape my notice. Unfortunately, we also haven't got a clue about her possible destination as she didn't have many friends outside of the school." Xavier says sadly.

"Are you kidding me? Come on, we're gonna fail the fourth bonus objective if we give her time to go after others." Flash says dejectedly, having hoped for a 100% completion on his first mission.

Scott doesn't take kindly to his remark. "Are you taking this as a game? Jean is missing, and the lives of many people along with the fate of our entire world is currently uncertain."

"Relax, that's not what I meant, I'm just trying to save as many people as possible here," Flash assures Scott, not wanting to start a fight with them.

"If we're not able to track her down for now, are we just going to sit around waiting for her to make a move?" Catwoman asks the rest, frowning at the idea of just sitting around.

"Regrettably, that does seem to be the case. Feel free to relax in the mansion or use the training facilities we have here in the meantime." Xavier says apologetically, not liking their current situation any more than the Catwoman.

All Might stands up before anyone else can make a move, letting the others know about his plans. "I'll go help with the reconstruction of the mansion, I'm sure there is at least something I can do to be helpful in the meantime."

After a bit of thought, Superman decides to follow him. "I will come too, standing around doing nothing would be a waste of time."

Ororo smiles at the two and chases after them before they get the chance to leave. "Thank you for being so enthusiastic about helping us. I was going to help with the reconstruction effort after this anyways, so allow me to lead you."

After the trio leave the room, Flash stands up and announces his plan to go chat with others in the mansion before leaving as well.

Now with only four people left in the room, Batman speaks up for the first time. "Bring us to Jean's room, perhaps there is something there that hints as to where she could have gone."

Not liking the idea of searching through Jean's private belongings, Scott begins to speak up, but Xavier silences him by holding up his hand. "It's fine Scott, finding Jean is much more important right now than her privacy. Let's go, I will lead you to her room."
