11 Mascot And Rewards

[God's Cafe, Kira POV]

Arriving back in the cafe with Jean in hand, I quickly realize I don't have anywhere to set down her body.

I created a bedroom for myself in the back earlier because even though I don't need sleep, I still enjoy it, but I shouldn't bring her there, right?

Thinking about this problem further, I decide to create an entire second floor to the cafe with several doors leading to what could qualify as five-star hotel suites. The rooms are much bigger on the inside than what should be possible thanks to spatial magic, each suite has a bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen.

Of course, I install a fridge in each room that serves as a trap to anyone who dares take something out of it, being forced to pay a fortune of CC to the cafe.

In the future, I could give out these rooms to anyone who wishes to stay in the cafe for an extended period of time for whatever reason.

Choosing a room at random, I enter and lay Jean's body down on the bed, preparing to take the Phoenix out.

My hand turns incorporeal as I reach inside her to grab the soul of the Phoenix. The process could be dangerous to both parties due to messing with their souls if not for the fact that they are deep asleep.

Pulling out the Phoenix's soul, leaving only Jean's lone soul in her body, I look as the ball of energy in my hand gradually takes the shape of a red bird.

Quickly after taking form, the bird starts to wake up and slowly opens its eyes. Knowing what's about to occur, I transport us a little ways away from the cafe to let Jean sleep in peace.

After a few seconds of confusion, the little red bird puffs up and sends its strongest attack in my direction, intending to turn me to ashes. "Hah, all you gods are so arrogant thinking you are untouchable, let's see you survive these flames of mine."

The sneer, however, is wiped from its face a few seconds later when the flames disperse, and it sees me standing there, not even having bothered to protect myself yet being completely fine holding a piece of toasted bread.

Releasing my full divinity and directing it at the Phoenix, I take a bite of my toast and say. "A little burned, but you have potential to be a good cook in the future." Throwing away the toast, I look at the Phoenix more seriously than before. "Alright, we can do this the hard way or the easy way. You could keep resisting, and I will do away with you, or you could cooperate, and you can live."

Waiting for an answer, I notice it shivering in fear, not able to say a word. Oh, right, maybe I put too much pressure on it.

Reeling back my divine aura, the Phoenix is able to compose itself a little before flying on my shoulder. "A-alright, I will cooperate simply because I'm way too young to die."

You can try to save your dignity by acting brave, but I can hear your voice shaking, not to mention feel your whole body shuddering. Also, you're at least billions of years old… probably best not to mention that.

Getting back to the cafe, I enter through the front door and notice the whole group from the mission, along with Magneto and Raven, already there waiting for me. Oh right, time for the rewards!

Turning to me, they get surprised by the bird on my shoulder emitting a familiar amount of heat.

"Is that the…Phoenix?" Superman asks, not believing that the colossal firebird they just fought has turned into this cute little birb.

"Yeap, don't worry about it, the cafe just got a new mascot," I say, sending a smile toward the Phoenix on my shoulder. Maybe I should figure out a nickname for it later?

Choosing to stay quiet, the Phoenix just pretends not to notice the conversation, looking very interested in the lamps attached to the ceiling.

"Before we get to the good part, I take it these two will be going to your world All Might? Want me to send them there ahead of time?" I ask All Might while pointing at Magneto and Raven.

"Yes, please, can you send them to my apartment in U.A? I will deal with them later."

"Sure thing," I say, snapping my fingers as the two turn to dust. No, I didn't kill them, just teleported them away.

"And now I will distribute the rewards." I snap my fingers once again, and a notification appears in front of everyone. That's right, I have basically integrated a system into my cafe for missions.

[Rewards for Main Mission]

[Everyone: 1000 CC]

First off, everyone gets some spending money!

[Batman: Fear Inducement (weak) - Once a day cause anyone weaker than you in a 20-meter radius that you consider an enemy to see you as the thing they fear the most]

Batman seems pretty happy with the ability considering it's perfect for crowd control. Even if fighting a strong enemy, he could use this to force all the unimportant mobs to run away while dealing with the main threat.

[Catwoman: Shadow form - Become one with the shadows. Able to travel from one point to another at incredible speed within darkness. Forced out of this form if someone shines a light on you.]

The second to get their individual reward is Catwoman, who is now cursing herself for wasting 75 coins on Shadow Camoflauge earlier as what she got now is strictly just a better version of that.

[Superman: Mirror Image - Once a day, create ten perfect copies of yourself that can act independently but can't physically interact with the world. Once attacked, that mirror image will disappear.]

Third is Superman, who gets a superior version of Mirror Image from Pathfinder: Kingmaker. The mirror images are unable to attack but work great as diversions or to confuse the enemies.

Using the magic right away, I now see 11 Supermans (Supermen?) crowding the cafe before Superman cancels the spell and all the copies disappear.

[Flash: Fire trail - You can choose to leave a trail of fire behind you while moving]

I mean, he runs fast, so it should get lots of use, right?

[All Might: Transfer life - You can transfer your own life force to others to heal them, doing this too much in a short time will kill you. Alternatively, you could take the life force of others for yourself.]

All Might gets the ability to give away his life force to others to heal them. No doubt he will make use of it. If he does it too much in a short time, he will die, but thankfully life force can regenerate with a good rest, so he won't die from it… probably.

"With this, the rewards for the main quest have been given out, I hope everyone is happy with what they got." I tell the group before continuing, "You also managed to complete one bonus mission, so I will reward All Might specifically for that."

[Reward for Bonus Mission 3: A Misguided Man]

[All Might: 1 Gacha ticket]

"A Gacha ticket?" He asks me, holding a rainbow-colored ticket.

"That's right! The rewards so far were all chosen for you by me, but with the gacha ticket, you can pull the slot machine I have installed near the store entrance, and what you get will be completely random." I explain, pointing at the brand new slot machine I have set up.

All Might goes to take a seat in front of the machine with everyone else crowding around him, interested in what's about to happen. He inserts his ticket and pulls the lever.

Hundreds of different powers, items, and more pass by quickly before finally the machine stops on…

[Panda costume - Wearing this will make all children around you happy!]

"Better luck next time?" I console him with a slight chuckle

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Note: Rewards for quests are chosen by me specifically. Gacha, however, is entirely random. I have made a list of several hundred possible items, powers, magic, and bloodlines they could get and put them in a wheel of fortune.

As they are completely random, I can't promise that they will be useful for the story :P There are quite a few joke items in there like the one All Might got.
