Beacon Dance

As the sky darkens, the group of four gather in the living room once again, getting ready to head out to the Beacon Dance.

"How did your training go?" asks Tony, wearing a black tuxedo.

"Not well. Baldy here is the only one who could utilize even a little bit of it." Selina grumbles, wearing a black gala dress with an open back.

"It's merely because I am already experienced in the use of magic, I'm sure you will get it soon." The Ancient One says with a smile.

She is wearing a red dress, next to her stands All Might in a similar tuxedo to Tony, currently not using his quirk but still looking a lot more healthy than before getting healed at the cafe.

"I don't want to think about aura anymore right now, lets just go to the dance," Selina says, linking arms with Tony and pulling him toward the door.

"Before that, everyone take these," Tony says, handing out tiny communication devices that everyone inserts into their ears. "Something is gonna be going down tonight, this will help us stay connected at all times."

Leaving their house, the group of four get into a Bullhead and fly over to where the event is taking place.

Taking the lead, Tony and Selina are the first to enter the venue with the Ancient One and All Might behind them, arms linked, the same as the other two.

Greeting them in front is a blonde woman in a white dress. "You guys are just in time. You are the second to last team to arrive."

She marks them down in her book and lets them pass to the dance floor, where dozens of couples are already spinning around.

"So are we just meant to dance around until something happens?" All Might asks on the intercom while dancing with the Ancient One.

"Keep your eyes open for anything even slightly suspicious. Other than that, yeah, just dance." Selina says, guiding Tony over to the edge of the dance floor. From there, they can see out of the open balconies in case anything happens outside.

"The last team seems to have arrived as well, there are only two of them." The Ancient One reports seeing a man in a suit beside a woman with green hair and green dress enter the building.

For a good half an hour, the pairs just dance with each other, taking note of all the important people they know in the venue like Ozpin and general Ironwood.

At some point, the pairs get pushed to the edge as a man in a white dress shows up and starts dancing with his team, taking over the whole dance floor with people cheering them on.

"Look like someone had a little too much to drink." Tony comments, enjoying the show until Selina jabs him in the side.

"Oh, what the hell," Tony says, holding his stomach.

Selina signals to the front door with her head. "A girl just ran out of here."

"And what's so special about that? Maybe she got dumped or just isn't a party person."

"That's not it. She looked like she was chasing after somebody, trying to be sneaky." Selina explains, pulling Tony toward the exit.

"You want to chase after the girl?" Tony asks

"It could be the lead we are looking for, my power is perfect for hiding in the darkness, so I'll be able to chase after them unnoticed," Selina explains, exiting the building and blending into the darkness.

"Fine, I don't have my armor, so I would be useless for this, I'm gonna go back to base and be on standby in case we need backup," Tony explains, getting in the Bullhead to fly back home. "All Might, Ancient One, we got a potential lead. You two stay here and keep an eye on things."

"Understood," the Ancient One replies.

[Catwoman POV]

With the darkness of night, as long as I stay out of the streetlamp's lights, my Shadow Form is able to hide me perfectly. Even if I were to be right next to someone, they wouldn't notice.

Thanks to this, it is simple for me to keep up with the red dress girl even if she moves quite fast.

After a short while, we arrive in front of the Cross Continental Transmit System Tower. What a mouthful.

In front of the tower, I spot an unconscious or dead guy in the bushes, and it seems the girl notices him too as she quickly pulls out her scroll to do something. Seconds later, a white case falls from the sky, and she opens it to pull out a giant scythe.

As she rushes into the tower, I fall back a little to report on the current situation.

"We've got at least one downed soldier here in front of the Cross Continental Transmit System Tower. The girl I was chasing summoned a weapon and rushed into the tower. Going in is difficult since there probably won't be many shadows to hide in."

I hear Tony answer me, "Just take the guy's helmet and wear it, I don't think we gathered enough attention for anyone to remember what kind of clothes you were wearing."

"By the way, general Ironwood has just left the party, no clue where he is going." All Might reports from back at the dance.

Doing as Tony suggested, I enter the tower only to find many more downed soldiers. Taking the lift up, I find the girl I was chasing, fighting with a long-haired woman in a black suit and mask.

The long-haired woman is probably the reason for the downed soldiers, and I decide to help out the girl in fighting her.

"Another one?" She comments, sounding annoyed.

As the girl in the red dress blocks the magic shot at her, she retaliates by… shooting bullets out of her scythe. Interesting weapon.

Taking the opportunity, I rush forward, aiming to kick the woman's kneecaps, but she manages to jump back, shooting three explosive arrows at the girl behind me.

Going in for another attack, I hear the elevator opening up behind me.

Seeing the opening, the woman escapes while I hop into her shadow to hide. In the hallway, she changes to a black dress. I take the first opportunity to move into another shadow and jump out the window.

"Keep a close eye out for anyone who enters the dance venue and give me their description," I tell the people still at the party.

"One woman just entered. Tall and slender, relatively young looking, has long black hair and a black dress." Ancient One informs me. "She just joined the two who came to the part after us."

"That matches who I was just fighting." I say, "Tony?"

"They are a team participating in this tournament. The woman you were fighting is called Cinder Fall, her teammates are Mercury Black, Emerald Sustrai, and Neopolitan."

"The ice cream?" Ancient One asks.

"Yes, her parents were terrible with names, it seems." Tony says, "Also, the girl you were chasing after initially is called Ruby Rose, her team is also in the tournament."

"Well, now we know who we are going after. Question is what she wanted from the Tower in the first place."I yawn and say. "Tony, send a Bullhead for us, I've had enough dancing for one night."
