Entering God's Domain

For the next 2 months, everyone was extremely busy, All team commanders were studying, while all normal members were still mostly training, they had also been given a general information packet, but with much less info. The only person not studying was Mike, he was ferocious working on his mental strength, if he wanted to complete the quest James had prepared for him, he should be at the mental strength grandmaster level at the very least.

Everything went exactly as James had planned, that Is until the bigger guilds started noticing. At first, it didn't matter, some first to super-first-rated guilds would try and pouch some of our normal members, which they obviously declined.

But right now James was walking towards the entrance of his office, where supposedly someone was waiting for him.

It only took him a second to know who they were, he was one of the Vice guild leaders of Mythology, David Deirdre, and behind him were standing 2 buff-looking young men, they were obviously martial artists, bad ones, but still.

"Hello there, I'm James, the CEO of one gaming, to what do I owe the pleasure."

"I'm David Deirdre, I'm here as a representative of the Mythology guild, let me get straight to the point, we are here for a certain member of yours, she is called Olivia, and we would like to hire her."

James didn't even flinch, he had expected this day to come, after all, if a super guild notices a Domain Realm in a smaller guild, they can't keep their hands to themselves. In the grand scheme of things James wasn't worried, with the number of martial artists in his company, even the Green god's company couldn't push him around, much less some super guild.

"Well, that is too bad, she has signed a 10-year contract with us, so I must send you back in disappointment."

When James let this passive-aggressive tone out, the 2 guards behind David furrowed their brows and made themselves ready, but before they could even move James let his aura slip out for just a fraction of a second, not enough for a normal person like David to have even noticed it, but enough to terrify the 2 guards. They both took a step back and stared at James in horror. David, noticing that there was something wrong with his guard tried getting out of this situation right away.

"That is too bad, then I will have to take my leave, until next time, James"

David walked calmly out of the building, once he was out of sight he started talking.

"WHAT WAS THAT ALL ABOUT, you 2 are supposed to be martial artists, yet you just turn tail and run when he just makes a comment!!."

One of the 2 answered back abruptly.

"That guy is way above our pay grade, he could take us out before we could even react, if I were you I wouldn't mess with him."

The 2 of them then walked off, seeming to have quit on the spot.

"what do they know, they're just some bodyguards, I'll just have to bring someone stronger."

Back in the one gaming office, Olivia came down to the lobby.

"I heard there was trouble James, here to help."

James just scoffed at the remark.

"you just want to get out of studying, and the trouble is already over, some people from Mythology came here to recruit you."

"WOW, a supper guild, I'm turning into a big shot."

James just laughed it off and sent Olivia back to studying.

For the next 2 months, nobody made any special advancements, with everyone's training on the back burner, except Mike, who got to the mental strength grandmaster level with the help of some life potions James gave him, the stock of resources had greatly increased since everyone's level was at least at the Void Realm, the normal members could pass the second floor and subsequently get 1100 points each and the commanders could all pass the 4th floor, giving them 16100 points.

And after all of that, they were sitting there yet again, in the same conference room, 1 hour before the launch of God's Domain.

"The moment of truth is almost here, does everyone know what to do."

Rick then stood up.

"Yes, before we reach level 20 and complete our [Tier 1] promotion we will be mainly leveling up, but also completing dungeons at the hell mode and collecting as much gold as possible for the auction that will happen in a week."

Olivia then stood up and started speaking.

"I will be doing the same as them, but there are some items I have to collect before that, mainly an ancient foraging book, a couple of mystical flames, and some guild promotion orders and build orders."

James nodded in satisfaction, he had set up an exact plan for all of them, and it seems that his work didn't go to waste.

"You can go now, I will be sending you all friend requests as soon as I log in, the first person to find a guild creation order will make the guild named 'one' and invite everyone, and give me the guild leader position."

Everyone went on their way to log in, James did the same and after an hour of waiting, he saw it, the same multi-colored tunnel he remembered, but it seemed to have more purple in it. James didn't think anything of it and directly stepped into it, expecting to arrive at the Golden temple he was so familiar with, but instead, he saw something that shocked him, not only was there no golden temple, there was not anything. The space in this place seemed to also be extremely fragile, as spatial cracks appeared frequently. Before James could get even more confused, a figure appeared out of one of the spatial cracks. It was an older man, with a long white beard, the only close he had on was a red robe that he wore diagonally over his body, and in his hand was a long scythe.

"You seem rather surprised to see me, young man, I think you are well aware that you are the owner of my legacy, and since my legacy contains a class, I have been tasked to replace that little angle."

The old man said calmly.

And then it clicked, how could he have forgotten, he had Cronus's legacy, but wasn't he dead?

Without even hearing the question out loud, Cronus answered.

"In the future, I am indeed dead, but time and space are just illusions for me after all, everything that will and has happened to me is already known to me."

James just let out a sigh of relief, Cronus seemed to be on good terms with him.

"So, tell me, child, what base class do you want?"

James didn't even think about it.

"Swordsman"

At those words, Cronus seemed to be going into deep thought, but that only lasted for a couple of seconds.

"Very well, I will grant you the Class of [Origin Swordsman], it will grant your sword the ability to control space-time itself."

It seemed that he was going to be sent on his way any moment now, so James quickly blurted out a question on his mind.

"what are the special abilities of my class."

Cronus stopped his action and took a look at James.

"hmm, I suppose telling you a little bit won't hurt, you are my successor after all. The first thing you probably already know about, the rewards for going up a tier will be increased, as well as the power of your legacy skills, this boost will, of course, be a lot bigger than even from normal god's legacies, or even some ancient God legacies. The second thing is the talents you receive, since I have the pleasure of giving you my class right away, I don't have to spend part of my power modifying or deleting your normal Swordsman talents, so I could give you much more powerful talents. You have a lot of them but the main ones are, universal eyes, growth of the Gods, and beloved by the world. Universal eyes is a passive/active inspection skill, growth of the Gods increases the free attitude points, legacy skill points, and some other things, and last but not least, beloved by the world gives you a world affinity +4. In addition to all of this since I give you this class even before [Tier 0], I have been granted the privilege of giving you a starter skill besides [Chop], and I chose [time absorbing slash], which is sadly all I can tell you, so I will have to send you on your way, I wish you success, my disciple."

James couldn't even calm himself down before his eyesight started to fade, he was also wondering why Cronus hadn't asked him what in-game name he wanted, or what location he wanted to start in, but after thinking about it for a second James found this question laughable, he was the God of space-time, he could surely figure out what he wanted.

When he felt his feet touch the ground of brown forest town, James was even more amazed, he knew a world affinity of 4 was high, but he could practically feel the different properties of the mana in the air without even trying, at [Tier 0], that was insane, and after he opened his eyes the amazement didn't seem to stop, he could not only feel the mana and their properties, he could see then too. After calming down for a minute James opened his status screen.

James couldn't help but marvel at his talents, he also felt extremely glad he asked Cronus his question, some of these descriptions were too vague. He was even more surprised when he saw that his hidden attributes were visible, the universal eyes sure as hell weren't a joke.

"He didn't lie when he said he could make my talents a lot better, none of the ancient god's legacies I've seen can't hold a candle to this."

Now that James had calmed down he sent friend requests to every one of his teammates before starting his plan.

After that was done he ran towards the brown forest town battle arena, there you could take challenges to win prizes but you also needed to pay an entrance fee, but it just so happened that the first one to ever visit gets a 1-time free coupon.

While running James put all his free Attribute Points in Agility, giving him a total of 5 attack and 6 movement speed.

At the entrance to the underground area, which was located at the back of a local pub, a goblin was standing guard.

"What business do you have here?"

The goblin asked in a smug tone.

"I'm here to partake in a challenge."

The goblin looked James up and down for a second before reluctantly letting him in, this wasn't surprising to James in the least, goblins wanted money after all, and frankly, he looked like a beggar.

Before James could set his first foot on the staircase, the goblin stopped him.

"I forgot to give you this, it is a gift because you are the first immortal to visit our establishment."

When James tried taking the coupon from his hand, the goblin didn't seem to want to let go, but he eventually got it.

The challenge wasn't that complicated, there was a long pathway with a goblin at the end of it, that goblin was holding a bow with the skill [Rapid fire], you just had to cross the line next to said goblin without getting hit to win. The challenge was also divided into 3 difficulties: bronze, silver, and gold, the more difficult you went, the more expensive it would be to enter and the better your rewards would be, and the first-time rewards especially.

James was naturally going to challenge the gold challenge, to his recollection it gave a rare skill book for the Swordsman class, and he had a free ticket anyway, so the entrance cost didn't matter.

James went right up to the 3rd and longest lane, it was a whopping 50 yards long. At the same moment, all the goblins who worked there snickered in his direction, obviously painting him like a fool.

James didn't mind though as he just gave his free ticket to the goblin standing in front of the challenge, and a system message immediately appeared.

System: the gold level challenge, goblin hunt, is about to start,
