After he had tended his soulbonds' wounds to a certain degree, Jason wanted to rest after spending the last few and arduous days in exhaustion and stress.
He was still in the gigantic forest's outskirts and close to the mountain range next to it.
Nevertheless, his distance to the area with the massacred putrefaction rats was quite far.
As such he climbed up a large tree and decided to rest for the next few hours.
There was no other beast in his surroundings and even if there were any, he was able to conceal his mana core on a continual basis by now, which was extremely beneficial.
Thanks to that, other beasts wouldn't be able to detect him easily.
This allowed him to fall asleep without any worries.
