Steel element

Louis slightly tilted head in confusion while facing Frigs, "Mascasiiafoaf 42?"

Frigs nodded, "Just say MG 42, its one of the best machinegun used in my world. I once watched a video about this and saw the mechanism in it, so I guess I'll just make it"

Louis then zoomed in on the paper and asked, "I don't know what this is and what kind of weapon is this, nor do I know video and all the other-worldly stuff. But I'll trust your words, this gun must be powerful, yes?"

Frigs nodded once again, "This gun could be one of the most useful weapons in this world. Since most of the people here don't have magic, we could shred them to pieces with this"

Louis was amazed by his words, "Oooh… So, when are we going to start producing?"

Frigs sighed and shook his head, "Not now or in the nearing time. This is a blueprint, and the mechanism in it is actually a bit complicated for this world. It's safe to assume that only I can make this beast. I need to be in the fifth or sixth tier in the steel elements though"

Louis sighed and jumped toward his bed in an instant, "If it's like that, keep that blueprint away and get some rest. Tomorrow, we will prepare for the test!"

Frigs stared at the blueprint for a few seconds, expressionless, but after that, he placed it on the table and jumped right into his bed, 'I guess it would be a good idea to ask the teacher on how to get to the sixth tier of the steel element'

Tomorrow, Frigs knocked on the wooden door of his teacher's office and got a response from the other side, "Is it Edward? Just enter the office!"

Getting the approval, he opened the door and saw his teacher, Ms Sophia, writing something on her book. He proceeded to put himself on the couch and waited for the woman to start the conversation, "Hmm? Why are you here today?"

He responded, "I actually have a question, mind wasting your time on me?"

The teacher smiled and stopped writing by placing the quill on the ink container, she then slowly made her way toward the couch and with a big smile, waited for Frigs's question, "So… Ms Sophia, I have this one project, but I need mastery in at least fifth or sixth tier on steel element"

She got it pretty quickly, understanding the issue, but sighed before she responded, "It's almost impossible for you to master all elements. In fact, most mages and wizards could only master the basic element up to the fourth tier and stand out in one of them"

Frigs was instantly saddened by her words. He was looking grim at this point and didn't know what to do at this moment. But there was a hope, "Actually, there is this one rare potion, it originated from a mine and could give the user the ability to wield steel element. But I don't suggest it"

Frigs raised his face when he saw the little bit of hope in his teacher's words but were confused, "Why though?"

She sighed, "There was this friend of mind. He wanted to master the steel element, in fact, it was the last element he was yet to master. But his talent on the element… is bad, very bad. And even with that potion, he still failed."

Frigs sighed and thought to himself, 'Should I…'

But his thought disappeared when the teacher said, "Don't worry, we haven't tested your talent yet! You might be one of the people with the talent in the steel element, "

Frigs, hurriedly, asked her, "Where can I get tested?!"

She smirked, "The end year test, 9 days later"

9 days later, after the written test, Frigs came out of the room and said to Louis, who was walking beside him at that moment, "I think I did all the questions correctly! Anyway, let's go to the magic measuring test right now!"

Soon enough, the two of them found themselves walking toward a room with the big sign near the doorway: "Magic measuring test room" The PE teacher that was standing in front of a doorway of a room noticed them and asked as the two of them were still making their way, "What are you two doing here? Did you sneak out of the previous test room?"

They shook their head, and Frigs said to him, "We actually finished the test. It was too easy that Ms Sophia let us go early so we could get tested"

The man sighed and turned around, "Follow me, let's get the two of you tested!"

Soon enough, they arrived in a room, with a light blue coloured ball, the PE teacher said to them while still walking, "Place your hands in the ball, and the principal will personally see what kind of ability you have"

Frigs whispered to Louis, "Hey Louis, you go first, I want to see what this ball does to us"

Complying on Frigs's command, Louis placed his hand on the ball and instantly noticed the lines that appeared out of nowhere and were moving inside the ball itself. The principal, Jiq, in his human form, zoomed forward and a smile, he said to Louis, "Congratulations Louis! You have talents in all four basic elements! But you don't have any on other elements"

He smiled and cleared the way for Frigs, Frigs slowly but surely placed his hand on the ball and closed his eyes while repeating his hope in his mind, 'Please! Please! Steel element, steel element, Steel element please!'

Several seconds passed and there were no sounds coming into his ear, curious, he opened his eyes, slowly and saw the plain ball, with a big crack on it. He took his hand away from it and the ball broke right in front of his eyes.

Curious of the result, he asked Jiq, "Principal! Principal! What is my talent? Is it good? Is it bad? What element?"

Expressionless, he slightly lowered his face, "Yo-your talent is…"
