"So… how are you today?" Frigs said to her as she was blushing, her hands focused at the eating utensils as she slowly smiling while she was blushing.
"I-I'm fine, how about you?" His face was supported with the two of his arms as he was staring at her, not responding to her question. The girl's face became redder and redder as each second passed inside the room.
But growing impatient as she dropped her eating utensils, she asked once again, still blushing, "Ed-Edward, ma-may you please answer my question?"
Immediately right after that, Frigs realized and regained his consciousness. As he was slowly opened his mouth, about to answer, a flash caught his attention right behind her. The flash of light, reflected by metal, perhaps a weapon or a random piece of steel, 'Danger!'
He got himself up from the chair and went around her, about to shield her from whatever was coming. But he didn't expect a big wave of water coming out infinitely from a bucket Louis was holding on.
As soon as that, almost immediately, he was brought back to reality. The ceiling of his room and the sight of Louis holding a bucket as some drops of water were still dropping into his face.
He grunted, "Why… tell me one reason as to why you did that,"
Veins on Louis's face and necks were visible at that moment, "Is that the response I got from waking you up from that so sweet of a dream of yours? Look at the time right now and see for yourself!"
He looked at the magic-powered clock in the top of the doorway of his room and saw the arrow pointing at 9, "9 AM… 9 AM…"
Louis slowly placed the bucket on the floor and went toward the wooden wardrobe inside the room. He pulled out a set of uniform and threw it at Frigs, "Clean yourself up and get dressed quick! Ms Sophia has given us time until 09.05 to wait for you before the briefing starts"
Realizing what was happening at that very moment, Frigs quickly got himself ready, without even bothering to style his hair. He barely made it in time to the classroom. The scene of his classroom greeted him.
The sight of the teacher sitting at the chair of her desk and the students chattering as some of their attention were directed at him. The muttering started soon after that, "Edward is late?"
"Late?"
"Oh yea, he is late…"
"He was never late to any class before though"
"True, I wonder what's happening to him"
Hearing enough of it, Frigs stepped inside the room while maintaining eye contact toward the magic-powered clock inside the room, 09.06. He then stood there and took a deep breath before shouting, "Ms Sophia said that I'm not considered late if I came here before 09.05!"
The teacher, on her desk, smirked as she crossed her arms and got herself up from the chair, "Hey Edward, I said 09.05, you came in here at 09.06. That's why when you have arrived, just go inside the classroom and don't idly stand there!"
He bonked him slightly while the class bursted into laughter. Although he heard some words being muttered among each another, it was mostly covered with the deafening sound of the laughter.
Embarrassingly, he made his way to his table while Louis has his arm around him, smiling. Halfway there, the teacher pointed toward Louis and said, "Hey Louis! Why are you smiling like that? You are also considered late to this class!"
Louis's arm freed itself and they both embarrassingly, while the whole class was laughing, made their way to their seat. After the class has calmed down, Ms Sophia opened her book and said, "Okay… Let's start the briefing. The school will give you an amount of 10 silvers as your budget for travelling…"
"Then… Oh, yea, you all are allowed to visit the cities and other settlements, but please focus on the juniors. The list of the village with the names of the juniors could be seen at the bulletin board for the seniors"
"And… bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla"
She then left the room, followed by the duo that was late that day. The two of them made their way toward the bulletin board and began searching for the name, 'Bell'
And just like the usual, the one that found them first was Louis. He pointed to a certain section of the bulletin board with his finger and said, "Hey Edward, you see this, the village of Adare"
Frigs smiled as he confirmed it with his two eyes, "Okay then, why are we wasting our time here?"
As usual, they got themselves ready in a matter of seconds, left the school with their horse and made their way toward the village. Unfamiliar with the path, Louis, most of the time, focused at reading his maps, "Okay, okay…. after the big path, take a path to the left and pass through a forest, then go around a hill after the forest and…"
Frigs were confused at the unnatural silence. He asked, "And what?"
Louis, with his brows furrowed, squinted his eyes toward the map, "There are no paths connected to the village… the village is... just in the middle of nowhere, without any path connected to it"
Frigs chuckled, "Must be a mistake at the part of the mapmakers, there's no way that a village without any path connected to it existed, right?"
Turn out, he was wrong, he saw nothing at the end of the path he was instructed to go into. Just a plain, green grassland.
