[Vol. 1] Chapter 34: Noah's Ark
Lilya mentioned that these three skills she spoke of are the most basic and widely applicable skills in the 'Wind' element, and even a level 1 beginner can learn them directly.
As for those high-level magics, if they require various in-game materials and conditions, Lilya is certain that she can't learn them.
However, for a few skills below level 50, as long as the level and attributes meet the requirements, they can still be mastered.
The current problem is that Violet doesn't know how the creatures in this world can increase their level, or if there's even a concept of "level" at all.
Those skilled experts with abilities like secret silver, precious gold, dark steel, and the earth, Violet simply translates their performance into levels in the [Illusory World]. In reality, they might all be level 1, but with different attributes.
Violet is so earnestly teaching Lilya, even to the extent of using artifacts, for several reasons. On one hand, she has received benefits and has high hopes for this girl. Furthermore, she has a desire to conduct similar experiments.
With the enhancements provided by the [Casket of Ascension], it is likely that the initial attribute requirements for skills can be met. If Lilya suddenly becomes able to learn new skills in the future through actions like defeating enemies, meditation, or training, it would prove or disprove Violet's hypothesis about her level increasing.
Violet is quite interested in how strong Lilya can become using game-like methods. If, by chance, she becomes strong enough, she might even become a companion of the Miss Priestess.
"Three skills should be sufficient for now. Don't get too greedy, master them first. Then, come to me every night to see if there have been any changes on your skill tree. How does that sound?"
"Yes, the little casket that Sister Violet gave me is truly amazing. I can feel my physical abilities noticeably improving almost every day. Now, with the newly acquired abilities, even regular guards might not be able to beat me!"
Lilya looks quite excited, and her cheeks have become rosy as a result. She looks exceptionally cute, like a little hamster trying to act cute, making people unable to resist pinching and teasing her a bit.
"Cough cough… this level is not enough, Your Highness needs to keep working hard to master new powers. I can't have people looking down on my disciple~"
Suppressing the urge to reach out and pinch that small rosy cheek, Violet playfully teased Princess Lilya with a half-mocking tone.
"Yes, yes, my respected Master~"
The two girls exchanged glances, and after a moment, they shared a knowing chuckle without saying a word.
.......
The next morning, on the banks of the Black River, Princess Lilya, dressed in silver armor, stood with Miss Flora, who wore the [Veil of Roses] and held a short bow, along with Violet. They gazed into the surging waves of the river.
The Black River water wasn't actually black. It was called so because there was a legend that a long time ago, a black aquatic dragon used to inhabit this area and gave birth to many offspring.
As a result, the river was home to a large population of magical creatures with dragon blood. Although the black dragon itself had long disappeared, its descendants, through generations of evolution and reproduction, had spread throughout the entire river. Any ships or creatures attempting to cross the river had to be prepared to face their attacks.
In Lilya's plan, one of the significant challenges of this mission was how to safely get the army across this perilous river.
Of course, they could choose to continue north and enter the Beastman Kingdom from the northern forests without crossing the river.
However, that would not only take several times the original marching time but also require crossing the Beastman army's blockade, which posed a higher risk than crossing the Black River.
"What do you think, everyone?"
Facing the surging waves, Lilya asked for the opinions of the two girls behind her and several military leaders responsible for commanding the troops.
"..."
No one spoke, and the commanders looked at each other, unable to figure out how to safely transport the over two thousand troops across the river. After all, they were a raiding force, traveling lightly, and the Black River's shores were desolate and uninhabited due to the presence of magical creatures. They couldn't even find a ferry.
Not to mention the larger mounts like unicorns, they couldn't just leave them behind.
In fact, most people initially disagreed with this plan. The Black River was already difficult to cross, and during a time of war, why would the Beastmen leave this border area between the Human United Kingdom and the Beastman Kingdom unguarded unless it was genuinely impassable?
But Princess Lilya had insisted on this decision and claimed that she had a solution, so generals like Leyton could only do their best to support her.
"Couldn't figure it out, right? Well, don't worry about it. I just asked casually. As for a solution, I actually thought of one a long time ago."
Lilya turned around and smiled at Violet without showing any emotion. "Sister Violet, I'll trouble you."
"Of course~"
Yes, the method Lilya mentioned was the one provided by Violet.
Originally, Lilya didn't want to interfere too much in the direction of this war. However, unable to stand seeing her little disciple frowning all the time, she finally agreed to help her cross this Black River.
Of course, Violet herself also wanted to test the functionality of this item in the other world, so it was a side benefit.
She reached into the seemingly bottomless void space, and after a while, Violet pulled out… a model boat?
"What is this?"
Not only did Flora and a few commanders look at Violet with puzzled expressions, but Lilya also seemed somewhat curious.
Violet had only promised to help her get the troops across the river but hadn't gone into details. However, after witnessing so many miracles, Princess Lilya had great trust in her magical teacher and hadn't asked for specifics.
"The Noah's Ark, legend has it that it was built by an inspired person and served as the mythical ship that led humanity to escape the great flood. Of course, this is just a replica."
Casually explaining as she played with the small boat in her hand, Violet continued.
In the [Illusory World] there was no actual Noah's Ark, this item was actually created by Violet and a few of her companions.
The game world had a substantial portion dedicated to the sea, with many quests to be completed on islands or within the ocean itself. More importantly, if one wanted to travel to other continents, the first voyages required a ferry. This was why the [Noah's Ark] came into being.
The item itself was of exceptional quality because all that was required for a cross-sea ferry was size and sturdiness.
As for defense and supplies, players had inventory items, and those daring to venture across the sea were generally high-level experts, so they didn't need anything overly fancy.
Before anyone could ask further questions, Violet nonchalantly tossed the model boat aside, and it disappeared from the air, replaced by a colossal object that extended over a kilometer and stood over a dozen stories tall, silently floating on the surface of the river.
