The next day.
At the first glimmers of dawn, Gloxinia meditated, thinking of solutions to the problems he had realized after meeting Li Xue yesterday night.
These problems and solutions would directly impact his future and the Fairy Kingdom's future, so he can't be impulsive.
The problems he realized were something he should've realized quite long ago, but he was too stupid to think of them until now.
The first problem was food, clothing, housing, and daily necessities for the fairies.
Right now, he can afford to buy Li Xue clothes, food, and anything else she may need but what about when he has more fairies?
Will he plant fruits and vegetabless in the Fairy King's Forest to grow his own crops? No, they'll just get ravaged by the Sacred Tree's aura.. And if they survive then that means they'll turn into a fairy, making it cannibalism!
A solution that Gloxinia has thought of was to set up trade with the Federation or other kingdoms to obtain food that way.. It can even be with select food companies.
However, to do this all he would need both capital and something they need. Both, he did not have.
Thus, this brings us to our next problem, what exactly can the Fairy Kingdom offer?
Manpower? Sure but it's not a time of war so it's not really needed unless its against the abyss. And even then the federation would likely not let outside forces help.
Sacred Tree Branches? No way.. when something stops being rare then it becomes cheap! Thus, if he uses these to trade it'll be obvious he has many of them.
Now, lets assume that the Fairy Kingdom managed to set up trade and got food and all that.
Then what about housing, buildings, and appliances?
If the Fairy Kingdom opens up to humans then they'll likely try to come up with a way to take over it and steal the sacred tree.. Humans are innately greedy.
Thinking up to this point, Gloxinia chose to stop thinking of problems and stood up to go to the arena.
There was still time before the individual competition started. However, he didn't want to be late by chance and mess up his carefully planned 'death'. Moreover, according to his number plate, he would be participating in the third heat of the first round.
Due to the significant number of competitors, several heats were compiled with each heat consisting of fifty contestants. Appearing in the third heat would mean he had at least an hour to relax. Like other event grounds, Skysea Stadium was holding separate yet concurrent competitions. Only in this way could the Skysea Alliance Tournament be finished within a reasonable amount of time and accommodate its vast amount of competitors.
Once he reached the stadium, Gloxinia headed toward the check-in area to begin preparing for the competition, but a figure obstructed him.
"Hmph!" A cold snort sounded and Gloxinia raised his head to see who stood in his way.
It was a baleful Ye Xinglan directing a murderous glare at him.
Xu Lizhi stood beside her. To the untrained eye his aura exuded innocence, but underneath the layers of good will and plump cheeks was a hint of bitterness.
"I've been waiting for the other guy who was with you yesterday for a long time! Where is he?" Ye Xinglan stood with her hands on her hips. Her long eyebrows stood erect as her eyes blazed with fury.
'Ah.. seems like Wulin still went and scammed them of their money.'
Seeing Ye Xinglan's arrogant and angry expression, Gloxinia felt a small desire build up in his heart.
His finger moved and pressed onto his knucle reflexively, cracking his thumb.
Afterwards, he put on a look of confusion and said, "Sorry, no idea! Gotta go, bye!"
With that, he simply went around them and entered the check-in area, ignoring Ye Xinglan's angry gaze and shout.
Watching Gloxinia's back as he ran into the check-in area, Ye Xinglan remembered the events of last night.
When Ye Xinglan recalled the events of the night before, her eyes grew sharp, anger tinting them red. She had never felt so wronged before in her life.
That night, the shop owner had stopped them and demanded payment. Neither she nor Xu Lizhi had any money on them. In the end she resigned herself to calling for help, teeth grinding together in frustration.
Adding to her indignance, the shop owner was convinced that they had planned to dine and dash from the very beginning. In any case, the two children were forced to wash dirty dishes until someone came to pay for their meal. The only other option was to continue until their debts were paid off.
The pitiful, delicate-skinned Ye Xinglan could only weep as she rubbed and lathered the dishes until they were squeaky clean. Not daring to break Shrek Academy's rules, she swallowed down her anger. Though hard to admit, paying for her meal was justified. They were in the wrong, so how could she make a scene?
Thus, two students of Shrek Academy ended up washing dishes in a seafood restaurant in Skysea City.
Unaware of the grievances the lady behind him had suffered, Gloxinia checking in on time. Now all he had to do was wait; his match would start in another half hour or so.

Author's Note: What Tang Wulin did to Ye Xinglan was simple, he said he would treat them to a meal then ordered an incredible amount of dishes costing a ton of money since he has a big appetite and then left without paying, essentially scamming them.
Also, what do you think Gloxinia's plan might be? Don't forget he has to trick many existences at the Soul Emperor (6 rings) and above level at the same time.
Thank you for so many collections and powerstones!
