Dungeon Break

Lumiel was confused about what he saw in his memories. But he remembered everything now. It was not his first time to experience reincarnation or rebirth.

But what was more confusing was what's happening at the moment. His head ached like it was seared with hot iron. He grit his teeth as his mind was being swallowed by chaos. The pain then subsided and his head stopped hurting.

He felt much tranquil in his mind and felt like his mind or cognitive space was as vast as an ocean. It was still and was like calm waters. Soon memories resurfaced and he immediately snapped out of it. Making him gasp air as it was too much to take in a single moment.

Extinguishing the distraction from his mind, he immediately regained his five senses and was now sober. He saw the chaos that the monsters have made and hunters were fighting against it.

They were on the road and the cars went crashing with each other. There was a dungeon that appeared on the road and spewed monsters. Or so he guessed at what caused the chaos.

Upon feeling his injury, it disappeared. Though blood was still visible as he wiped his head with his hands.

"I am healed?" he muttered in his surprise.

The broken bones and his abrasions have vanished after he sobered up. Thinking about it, he also remembered the skill of the Healer class called "Heal".

He watched the chaos and then saw several injured hunters. They were fighting a Brute. A monster that has a bulky build and was running like a gorilla. Muscles were bulging and ripped. An evidence of its brute strength that you can see by just looking at it.

It dashed towards the other hunters and then swung its arms. The Paladin blocked his strike but it was too strong. Other hunters like the Rogue threw daggers at it. Also the Rangers fired their arrows nonstop.

"It's not going down anytime soon!" shouted the Ranger.

The Dragonoid then appeared and shapeshift to his dragon knight form. He grew scales and wings then attacked the Brute. After transforming, he flew and then went to the skies. Diving at him then breathed fire.

The Brute was scorched by the flames but it just grabbed the Dragon knight on the neck. Lumiel was alarmed. The Dragon knight might die if he would not do something.

The mage hunter then fired a lightning bolt at the Brute that made it look back then threw the Dragon knight on the road.

The Mage then gulped his saliva and then his sweat dropped from his face. The Brute attacked him as he pulled the aggro. Running towards him and the ground trembled. The Mage was in imminent danger, he froze on the spot as he saw the enemy was charging towards him.

The Brute then ran like a gorilla and grabbed rubble on the road. Throwing it on the Mage.

Bang!

The Paladin then blocked his projectile with his shield and then shouted on the Mage to prepare the spell.

"Shoot at the Brute in my command!"

"Yes sir!"

He then prepared a grand magic and the Paladin attacked it. The Brute then ran while swatting the cars on the road. Making them flung on the side as he was charging.

The Paladin then ran to meet him. The sword held tight on his other hand. The Brute then punched his shield that made him shook. The force was enough for him to grit his teeth. He retaliated with several slashes and it was not enough to deal much damage on its hide.

The enemy then swings its heavy arms and then the Paladin blocks it.

"Now!" the Paladin shouted.

The Mage then finished preparing his grand spell and fired it on the brute.

[Lightning spear]

A lightning that converged into a physical spear that was enough to have its piercing capabilities melt the hide.

The spear was thrown and struck the Brute on the chest and it was enough to exit on the back of the enemy. Making it groan as it crashed on the asphalt floor with its body.

"Wow we killed it!" the Paladin shouted.

"Haha good job!" the Ranger also said.

Lumiel saw them and healed the injured. Making him noticed by the team captain who was the Paladin.

"Thank you so much. Are you perhaps a Healer?" he asked.

"Yep, I awakened just recently," Lumiel said to him, scratching his head.

"I am Trevor, feel free to join our team if you want, we lacked a healer on our team," he said to him then removed his helm.

"I see, I will give it a thought," Lumiel replied then stood up after finishing on healing up the Dragon Knight.

"Wow I am healed!" he shouted in admiration.

He was surprised to experience full healing. Healers were very rare and only a few teams were having one. They were like priced jewels of the team as their value was so high.

Lumiel then healed every single one of them and then they felt relieved of their injury. The Paladin captain thanked him and was overjoyed for his help.

"Thank you so much, my team can do another round of monster hunting thanks to you. Other Brutes still roamed the city and we needed to chase them," he said to him.

They soon said their goodbyes and then Lumiel sighed. His mana was depleted. Thinking about it, he was an awakened now. He could join the team that was offered to him.
