LIVING IS A RIDDLE
After two days Stevenson was finally discharged from the hospital and healthy enough to go to school. Another Morning, the child woke up, yawned and said to himself, "Well, Finally the only pain I'm feeling right now is of heart" then he got up from the bed and had his breakfast and was about to leave for the school, at that time the phone started ringing , he checked the phone and it was of his father.
He received and said, "Yes, My unbearable reflections's favorite person, what do you want?" Mr.Ryan replied, "Give me your dictionary so I'll be able to understand your high vocabulary, He continued, Well How's you my child?" Stevenson replied, "As good as my sleep, Now I've to leave for the school." Then he turned off the phone.
In his way he was enjoying the beautiful weather and relaxing sound of a wind, when he reached the school, he saw everybody was moving towards the library, there he finally found Terrisa in the crowd and called her. She directed towards him and said, "There's another quiz competition in the library." He replied, "So are you asking me to come or telling me?" She answered, "It's upto you, You've to waste your time more or you want to invest it in the library." He with a little smile on his face said, "Oh I'm feeling sick again." Terrisa replied, "So you're back with your lame, Now if you're done with this silly conversation so we should walk to the library, Stevenson" then they both moved towards the Quiz Competition.
There in the library, Again the "GOLDEN TROPHY", same buzzer thing and the same environment. "I can't find the interest they all are having in this golden pointless statue" She said to Stevenson. He asked, "So why are you here Miss Furious?" She replied, "I don't know but surely not here to continue the conversation with you", then she went to the desk and sat there. He said to himself, "Bear your version", and followed her.
As the competition was about the start Terrisa (The captain) mentioned in the team, "If any one of you know the answer tell me, Don't you dare to even see that buzzer as I'm not Amilie" , Meanwhile she glowered at Stevenson. He with a laugh said, " I'm very afraid, I can't even see the buzzer." She rolled her eyes and here the competition starts.
Ma'am announced, " We're starting with the riddles, press the buzzer, If you are not puzzled", she further added "There you go with the first One, 'What gets wet while drying?' Teresa pressed the buzzer and replied, "Towel." then she slowly said (Ma'am really thinks that we're kids). Then the Ma'am declared, "She's right." There you go with the another one, She announced again. " What kind of a band can never play music?", Stevenson hand's was about to press the buzzer but when he noticed Terrisa's face, he put his hand on the desk and started looking here and there. Terrisa said to him, "You're allowed to speak if you know the answer." He answered, "A rubber band maybe". She excitedly pressed the buzzer and responded, "Probably, A rubber band." Ma'am with a wide smile said, "Yes, you smart kid." Stevenson spoke to Terrisa, "I'm the smart one Iguess, incase there is any misconception in your mind." She replied, "Members are always influenced by their captain."
After 3,4 more questions, Team Terrisa won. Everyone was applausing, Ma'am came towards the team congratulated them and said, "Here you go with "GOLDEN TROPHY" with the golden memory of Quiz. They thanked her, then the Ma'am announced :
"It doesn't matter either you win or lose, You're here with your energy and efforts that what matters" then she left.
Stevenson asked Terrisa, "How do you feel Miss furious to have this dead thing?" She replied with a smile, "A little alive, maybe".
Her phone started ringing. He saw it was of Amilie's. She said to him, "Your ear's strength is raised Iguess." I've to pick the call I'll meet you in the class afterwards." then she walked out of the library. Stevenson watched her going and slowly followed her steps.
She received the call and asked the Amilie how's she doing. Later, She started telling Amilie, "I want to tell you one thing friend, I came to know that my StepFather, My mother's so called "Man of her life" is Steve's biological father. I met him two days back in the hospital and ... (she started sobbing) and continued, I can't control all the flashbacks coming in my mind. Come whenever it's possible for you. I'm waiting for you, you're the only person left in my life whom I can hug." Stevenson heard all of that, His face was red, he was trembling and wanted to scream. He went from there so that she couldn't see him. Afterwards he called his father, at that time his hands were shivering. Mr. Ryan picked up the call ; he said in an anger tone, "I want to meet you Cocaine." His father replied, Sure my son I'm coming to your house." he hanged up the call and went straight to the house with his red face.
