Chapter 4: Rumor

Lucky's POV:

"Lucky!!!" Called a voice. I groaned as I rolled over and covered my head with the covers. "Lucky!!!!" Mom yelled, as she opened the door. She came over and yanked the covers off my head. I groaned and covered my head with my arms. "Get up!!!" She said. "Why?" I asked. "Cause, I want you to come with us to this museum I've been meaning to go to." She said. A museum? Is she serious? I rolled over and looked at her. "Mom no." I said. She scoffed. "No? Why not?" She asked. Say you have plans with Marcus. "I have plans with Marcus today." I lied. "Can't you reschedule?" She asked, crossing her arms. "Mom, I've bailed on him three times now." I lied. She sighed. "I really wanted us to go to this museum." She said, softly. I stared at her then sighed. "What's this museum about?" I asked.

"The Magic Council wants is to check out a cave that could possibly hold the Infinity Orb." She said. I scoffed. "Again with that stupid thing?" I said. Then the Magic Council appeared. "That 'stupid thing' is the key to give anyone the infinite powers of a god." Bryan said. "If it's so special, why don't you guys get it?" I asked. "We're powerful enough." Alma said. "Yeah. Too much power makes a man get drunk with power." Stan said, as he walked up to me. He grabbed my leg and yanked me out of bed. "And you, young man, are gonna spend time with your mother." He said. "But Marcus-" Alma cut me off. "Can wait for your plans. You can reschedule your 'plans' with him." Bryan said. Then they disappeared. I groaned and banged my head on the floor.

I quickly held it. "Get up and get dressed. We leave in ten." Mom said, as she walked out the room. I sighed and stood up to stretch. I walked to the bathroom and took a shower. What are you gonna do? I was hoping you'd help me. Just pretend to be sick. Little too late for that. Then I got nothing. I got dressed then headed downstairs. I saw Mom kissing Dad in the kitchen. I scrunched up my face. "Ewwwww!!!" I said. They turned and glared at me. "Shut up." Mom said. "Yeah. If we didn't do this, you wouldn't be here right now." Dad said. I looked at him. "I'd welcome that." I said, as I headed out the door. We walked out to the car and got in. We drove around til we came to a museum. It looked boring. I groaned. "Do I have to be here?" I asked. "Lucky, it's time we spent time as a family and do something together." Mom said.

"But a museum? If all things." I said. She turned around and glared at me. I sighed and caved in. "I mean a museum!! Nice." I said, as I opened the door. "Ya know Lucky, some culture isn't so bad." Dad said. "Yeah yeah." I said, as we headed inside. We walked around for a bit before I got bored and texted Marcus to come through. He said he was with Kacey because he wanted to find out more about his mate. I was confused so I called him. "Seriously dude? Who knows what our mates look like?" I said. "Dude, have you not been listening to shit around school?" He said. "I pretty much blank out." I said. "Rumor has it there's two new students." He said. "New students?" I asked. "Yep. You know Trey right? Tall dude with dreads and tattoos?" He asked. "Yeah what about him?" I asked. "He has two sisters that are coming to our school Monday morning." He said.

"Trey has sisters?" I asked, curiously. "Yep. They're coming to school with us. Kacey said that they're our mates." He said. I frowned. "She still won't tell us what they look like?" I asked. He sighed. "Yeah. She's keeping us in the dark once again." He said. That's always been Kacey. "Well did she says anything about these girls?" I asked. "Nope. She said we needed to see for ourselves." He said. I groaned. "What's up?" He asked. "Two thing: one, my Mom wanted us to go to this boring ass museum and I didn't wanna go. But she wanted us to have culture." I mocked in her voice. "And the second?" He asked. "I'm not ready for no mate dude. I don't do relationships. You remember what happened last time." I said.

"I remember." He said. I remember that day. I broke it off with my ex cause she was crazy. It seemed like we were through, seeing as we were drifting apart. We never spoke or did anything together anymore. So I broke up with her and she didn't like that. She swore to hurt me as bad as I hurt her. It's been seven years since. I haven't heard from her again. I figured she must've forgot about me. "Lucky?" Marcus called, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Hmm?" I said. "Did you hear what I said?" He asked. "No. What did you say?" I asked, as I sat down on a bench. "I said why don't you give this new relationship a chance?" He asked. "Cause, I don't want a repeat of what happened last time." I said. "Look, we don't know what the future holds, but I'd doubt we will have a repeat of what happened last time." He said.

"You don't know that." I said. "You right. I can feel it." He said. I growled lowly. "Marcus." I warned. "Why you so against love Lucky? Maybe this new girl will be something different from Celia. Why you so against having a mate?" He asked, irritably. I got up and stormed out the museum. "Cause, Celia fucked up relationships for me!!!" I yelled. "Celia isn't here anymore." He said. I sighed. "Marcus, come on now. How would you feel if a bitch from your past fucks up your views on love and relationships?" I asked, angrily. He grew silent before I heard the sound of screeching tires. "Marcus?" I said. It was silent. "Marcus?" I said. I started to get worried. "Marcus?!" I cried. Then the phone hung up. I looked at my phone. I tried calling him back but got no answer.

I called in three more times til I got scared. I ran ack inside the museum up to my parents. "Lucky there you are. We look-" I cut Mom off. "I think something happened to Marcus." I said. They stared at me. "What are you talking about son?" Dad asked. "I was talking to Marcus then I heard tires screeching. He didn't answer." I said. "Marcus is always a careful driver though." Mom said. I put my hand to my head then. I began to hyperventilate. "I'm going to go find him." I said. "Wait wait wait son." Dad said. He grabbed my arm. "Dad he could be hurt." I cried. "Honey, this is Marcus we're talking about. He's a very careful driver. He wouldn't get into an accident." Mom said. "Anyone can, no matter how much of a good driver they are." I half yelled.

Some people looked at us. "Look Lucky. If Marcus doesn't call you back in twenty minutes, then we'll go look for him." Mom said. Is she serious? "Mom-" Dad cut me off. "Son, your mother's right. Let's wait it out. If he doesn't call, we'll go look for him." He said. I looked at Mom, who was staring off into to space. She didn't want to admit it but she was worried. Marcus was like a second son to her. She loved him just as much as I do. We walked around the museum. I noticed ticked by slower when your worried or bored, but faster when your enjoying something. When twenty minutes finally passed, I looked at my parents. They looked at me. "Alright, let's go find him." Dad said. We took off outside. Oh Marcus. Please be okay. We drove home then searched on foot for Marcus. We asked around town for Marcus. No one has seen him. We finally come to a Pizza Hut and a woman claims she saw him.

She said he was speeding in his car down the road. He pulled up across the street. We looked out and saw what looked like a car crash site. I gasped in horror. I ran outside with my parents behind me. Ambulances and police cars surrounded the area. I ran out towards it, ducking and dodging policemen as they tried to keep me away. "Marcus!!! Marcus!!!!" I called out, as I looked through the rubble. "Lucky?" Said a voice. I looked up to see Marcus staring at me with ice cream in his hand. I signed in relief as I ran up and hugged him. "What-" I cut him off by punching him. His werewolf eyes came out and he snarled at me. "What the fuck is wrong with you man?!" He yelled. "Don't do that again!!" I yelled. "Do what?" He asked. "Marcus!!!" Mom called. He looked at her, as she ran up and hugged him.

"What happened?" He asked. "Son, we thought you got into a car accident." Dad said, as he came up to us. "No. I saw that sign of bubble gum flavored ice cream. I had to get in on it." Marcus said. "But Lucky said he heard tires screeching." Mom said. "That's what I heard." I said. "Oh yeah. I was speeding but I stopped in time. Another car was speeding but he didn't stop in time so they got into a car accident." He said. "I called you several times when you hung up." I said. "Oh yeah. My battery died. So I left it in the car to charge while I got ice cream." He said. I sighed in relief. I hugged him again. I began to cry. "What's up Lucky?" He asked. "I don't know what I'd do without you Marcus." I said. "Dude, stop. People are staring. And this jacket is Versace. Your gonna mess it up." He said. I chuckled and wiped my face. "Come on." Mom said, as she pulled us back towards the ice parlor.

We ordered the bubble gum ice cream and ate it. It was good though really cold. I couldn't leave Marcus's side after that. I was so hung up on him I'm sure he was annoyed with me. He didn't say anything as he let me be emotional with him. We went back to home shortly after. He played games with me til I fell asleep. I woke up to him sleeping next to me. There was a note on my head. I picked it up and looked at it.

Dear Lucky, you fell asleep man. Seeing you so upset because you thought I was in a car crash meant a lot to me man. I know that sounds gay but I don't care bro. I'm glad you care about me. Your like the brother I never had. I was gonna take off but figured you'd be pissed if I did. So maybe I'll fall asleep too or just watch basketball til you wake up. Anyways this note will be on yo ugly ass head.

I smiled at the note and crumpled it up. I looked at Marcus as he slept. My eyes trailed down his body. His lips were so plump and delicious looking. I wanted to bite them. My eyes went down to his shirtless body. Now that I noticed, it was kinda hot in here. I stared at his abs. I reached out and touched him. I bit my lip. My eyes went down to his manhood. I gasped softly and bit my lip even harder. I wanted more than anything to touch it. I always told myself if I ever were to find my mate, I wanted to have sex with Marcus before then. Or at least suck his dick. Is that really so much to ask? I moved my hand slowly down his abs to his dick. I smiled as I gazed at his manhood. Everything screamed for me lick it. I licked my lips as I leaned down towards it.

"I wish you would." Said a voice. I looked up to see Marcus glaring at me. His eyes were bright yellow. It startled me so bad I fell out of bed. "Jesus Marcus." I said, as I stood up. "Don't do that. You were about to give me head." He said. "So?" I said. "So? Nigga I ain't gay." He said, as he sat up. "You don't have to be gay for me to give you head." I said. "Uh yeah huh." He said, as he sat up to put back on his shirt. "Come on Marcus. Just let me do it." I said. "No." He growled, as he had his back to me. "Oh come on. You owe me." I said. He looked back at me. "Owe you for what?" He asked. "For having me think you were badly hurt." I said. He scoffed. "Boy bye." He said. "Marcus come on." I said. He stared stared straight ahead and sighed.

"No." He said, as he finished putting his shoes on. I pouted and stormed to the bathroom. I slammed the door and locked it. "I know you ain't mad." He said. He walked up to the door and jiggled the knob. "Wooow. Really? You mad petty bro." He said. I made a face. "Lucky come out the bathroom." He said. "No." I said. "Lucky don't make me drag you out." He said. "Do it bitch." I said, as I headed to the shower. The door then broke down with Marcus staring at me. "I glared at him. "Your an ass." I said. "And your a pain. Now come on. I wanna show you something." He said. "What is it?" I asked, curiously. "Just come on." He said. I walked with him downstairs, out the back door. "Come on. Kacey showed me this awesome lake her friend takes her sometimes." He said.

"Lake?" I asked. "Yeah. Lake Light." He said. He the transformed into a wolf and took off running. I transformed into a dragon and flew after him. It was awhile before we flew to a beautiful lake. We transformed and stared off into the distance. "Whoa." I said. "Pretty cool huh?" He said. "This is dope." I said, as I stepped closer to the water. I dipped my fingers in before being pushed in. I surfaced to see Marcus laughing. I snarled then grabbed his leg and pulled him in. We play fought in the water. "What the hell man?" He said. "You started it." I said, as I got out. I looked at him and but my lip. Seeing him all wet made me hard. He looked at me and stared. He sighed then shook his head. I looked down at my hands. "Marcus do you hate me?" I asked, softly. He looked at me.

"What? No man. Why would you think that?" He asked. "Because. I flirt with you a lot. I tried to touch you. But dismiss me and sometimes act like I'm a disgusting person." I said. "I don't think your a disgusting person. It's just...." he trailed off. He stared out into the lake. "Lucky why me?" He asked. "You what?" I asked, curiously. "Why do you come after me when there's so many other guys you could flirt and be with?" He asked. "Marcus your always there for me when I need you. You were the reason I came out. Your the reason I'm able to smile every day. You make me laugh and feel good inside. But when you tell me off or make me feel less of myself because I flirt with you, it's like.....you don't want nothing to do with me." I said. "That's crazy." He said. "It's the truth." I said.

"Lucky, no matter how many times you flirt or try to touch me, I'll still be here for you bro. Yes you flirting gets on my nerves, but I'm used to it. I don't care. At the end of the day, you still my best friend. But I just don't understand why you flirt with me and not other people." He said. I shrugged. "I don't think it about it." I said. I looked at him. "Marcus, if you were gay, would you go for me?" I asked, curiously. "Maybe." He said. "Maybe?" I repeated. "Yeah. Lucky, you cool and all, but your touchy feely, gets in the way of our friendship sometimes. I be having serious conversations with you and you flirt and touch me." He said. "I'm just tryna lighten the mood so neither of us will be sad." I said. "Still. I don't mind being the jokester of our friendship but that touchy stuff has got to stop." He said.

I looked down. "I thought you said you didn't mind it?" I said. "I don't. But learn when to stop. Yes I push you away from touching me inappropriately but I know I still fuck with you, despite your crush on me." He said. "I can't help it Marcus. You don't know what you do to me. Your so fucking sexy, i have a hard time keeping my hands off you. And you were all these nice clothes and it's like you want me to touch you. I find you very attractive. Is that a bad thing?" I asked. He looked at me. "Not at all. You can keep doing what your doing but learn to tone it down a notch." He said. I chuckled. "I'll try." I said. We stared out at the lake. "Hey Marcus?" I said. "Hmm?" He said. "Can I at least kiss you one last time before I met my mate tomorrow?" I asked, curiously.

He snapped his head at me. "I mean you won't let me fuck or give you head. A kiss is the least you can do." I said. He stared at me before grabbing my face and pulling it towards him. Our kiss was passionate. I didn't want it to end. He pulled away then looked back at the lake. "If you tell anyone about that, I will kill you." He said. I smiled. "No you won't." I said. He turned me with his bright yellow eyes. He then grabbed my arm and began twisting it. "Ow ow OWWWW!!! Okay!!!" I cried. He let go then looked back towards the lake. I rubbed my arm. "That shit hurt!!" I said. "I know. I'm deadass Lucky. That's the only time we'll do that and for damn sure don't tell anyone." He said. "I won't. I swear." I said. I held onto my arm and we went back home.

He called his mom and told her he was staying the night. Mom was happy. She wanted to spend time with him as much as I did. Since school was tomorrow, we had to go to bed early. As I dosed off, I looked at Marcus. He was already fast asleep. I poked him a few times to make sure he was really asleep. He didn't budge so I flipped myself so I was near his manhood. I smiled as I dosed off. Hope my mate is worth it.
