[Gio] How can a woman be both my salvation and damnation? She came to hurt my family and she gutted me with betrayal. Now, she’s back and she won’t know what’s coming for her. I hold grudges and I intend to return the scars she left—only this time, I’ll make sure she’ll bleed to death. [Lia] He was the bane of my existence. The man I knew who would ruin me. And yet I let him. I did it to save my mother, but I ended up destroying myself in the process. Chapter 6 - Giovanni (1)

Life has been mellow so far for me for the past few weeks. I've been doing so well in my father's eyes I'm a running candidate for end-of-the-term recognition like a good boy in school.

As a capo in our family, my faction in the business gains more credence, which means, more money, more power, and more respect. See, that's the thing in this dog-eat-dog world, if you don't strive for perfection, you'll get lost with the rest who are sinking to the bottom. Kinda like the government, they hate us so much, the fucking hypocrites, and yet they're in competition with us—if not in bed.

It's nice to be up here on the ladder, the air is not cleaner, but accommodation is certainly top-notch. And those who don't care otherwise are lying pieces of shits. One thing I can't stand? Liars. I take loyalty and trust very seriously and once they break it, hell will be coming for them. And my hell is a different version than my buddy's down there.
