24 To the rescue

"Kagura!" Shinpachi shouted as Kagura started to fall towards the water.

Kagura smiled and said, "Don't want to get in your way. Bye-Bye."

"Wait!!"

As Kagura started to fall towards the water, a familiar voice shouted out from the side.

"What the hell do you think you're doing, you idiot!!"

Turning their heads, they saw Gin running along the side of the ship with a rope in his left hook to keep him from falling into the water.

"Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait!" Gin shouted as he ran along the side of the ship towards Kagura in a hurry.

From behind him, Hiroto shouted out, "Gin, make sure you don't miss!"

"I know that already!" Gin shouted back as he quickly caught Kagura and swung the both of them towards the deck of the ship, crashing into a pile of barrels in the process.

"Oww… my wound opened up." Gin complained as the dust from their crash started to settle.

Jumping down next to them, Hiroto was riding on Sadaharu's back as he said, "I told you that you need to roll at the end."

Gin looked up and shouted, "I was carrying Kagura! Do you think I would be able to roll with her in my arms?!"

"Not with that attitude!" Hiroto shouted.

"Oi! Who are you?!" A pirate shouted from the side towards the two.

"Uh… is this where the interview is being held?" Gin asked, as he stood back up.

Hiroto got off of Sadaharu's back and untied Kagura, putting her on Sadaharu's back and saying, "We're here to look for the One Park. I heard that Luggy was also here."

Standing side by side, Gin said, "Hello, I'm Sakata Gintoki. I'd like to try out for Captain. My special talent is being able to sleep with my eyes open."

Hiroto followed up and said, "And I'm Sano Hiroto. I'd like to try out as a cabin boy. My special talent is the ability to slack off without anyone knowing."

"Eh? Cabin boy? Weren't you going to try out for captain as well?" Gin asked.

"Captain is so last chapter, cabin boy's are all the rage these days," Hiroto said.

"Gin! Hiro!" Both Kagura and Shinpachi shouted out their names in joy.

"You little bastard… still alive, eh?" The Amanto leader said with disgust, "And you even brought a friend with you. Too bad that you just brought him here to die with you."

*BOOM*

"Wha?!" The Amanto captain quickly turned to the explosion from the side of the ship, seeing a hole billowing out smoke.

"Daraku! There was an explosion in the storeroom!" An Amanto rushed out and shouted towards the captain, Daraku.

"My work here is done." Katsura's voice came from above everyone, as he stepped on the railing with a couple of bombs in his hands. "You're up, Gintoki! Me and Hiroto will take care of anyone in your way!"

"You're… Katsura!" Daraku shouted when he turned around.

"No!" Katsura shouted out, as he jumped off the bridge. "I'm Captain Katsura!" Captain Katsura threw out a bomb towards Daraku, who quickly dodged out of the way of the explosion.

*BOOM* *BOOM*

Multiple explosions rang out, as Captain Katsura threw out bomb after bomb at the Harusame pirates.

"It's Katsura! Get him!" The Harusame pirates shouted out, chasing him down. "Off with Katsura's head!"

"Let me join in on the fun," Hiroto said, as he ran through the group of pirates casually, but then causing them to fall over one by one a second later.

Turning his head back, Hiroto saw Gin confronting Daraku. Hiroto shook his head and said, "Look at him, wanting to have the lead role in all this."

"Shouldn't you set me free first!" Shinpachi shouted as Hiroto sat next to him.

"Ah, you're fine. In times like these, you need to learn how to be independent." Hiroto said, patting Shinpachi's shoulder.

"I'm tied up! This isn't the time for me to be independent!" Shinpachi shouted at Hiroto.

"Yeah yeah," Hiroto said mindlessly, dragging Shinpachi over next to Kagura and Sadaharu, as they watched Gin go up against Daraku.

"Listen… I don't care what you do somewhere else in the universe, but anywhere within reach of my sword, is my country!" Gin shouted at Daraku, as he held his wooden sword, Lake Toya, towards him.

Hiroto leaned on Sadaharu and watched on. "Anyone who comes here and messes with my people, whether he's the Shogun, space pirates, a meteorite…" Gin's eyes narrowed as he then surged forward.

"I'll cut 'em all down!"

*swish*

Daraku and Gin passed each other after their blows, stopping in their tracks for a moment.

Daraku chuckled, saying, "You know… Bastard… you may not wash your hands in the bathroom, but you're pretty clean."

*thud*

Daraku fell forward onto the ground, unconscious, as Gin put Lake Toya back into his belt. He stood there silently for a moment before turning to Hiroto and the others.

Hiroto was the first to speak, saying, "Well, that's taken care of. Let's all go home." Hiroto walked forward, stopping beside Gin to pat his shoulder and saying, "Our, home."

As the group left the ship, Kagura and Shinpachi sat on the ground, tired from the events of the day.

"Hoo, I'm beat." Shinpachi said, "Everything's spinning. I can't even walk straight."

Kagura covered her head with her hands and said, "I'm dizzy from too much sun. Carry me." Kagura reached her hands out towards Hiroto and Gin.

Gin said, "What're you complaining for, you little brats! Do you know who's the most exhausted?! Just get on Sadaharu's back!" Gin turned to the side to see Sadaharu running away into the distance, with Hiroto waving after him.

"Hm? Oh, Sadaharu seems to have something he needed to do." Hiroto said with a smile.

"Are you kidding me?" Gin said, "I fought my way over here even though my body is a mess and I have a hangover!"

"So do I!" Hiroto shouted back.

"Both of us are woozy, too, you know!" Shinpachi complained.

"That's right! Boozy!" Kagura said.

"I can't stand you guys. I'm going home." Gin said, turning around and walking away.

Hiroto looked at Gin for a moment, turned to Shinpachi and Kagura, and whispered, "Give it a second, he's such a sucker for these types of things." Hiroto smiled as he turned to follow Gin.

"Ngnn." Gin grumbled to himself, suddenly stopped, and shouted out, "Come on, knock it off already! Okay! Fine! You want me to carry you, I'll carry you! Your wish is my command! One for me, One for Hiroto!"

"Eh? What do you mean, one for me?" Hiroto said, pointing to himself.

"Hahaha!" Both Kagura and Shinpachi shouted, as they ran towards Hiroto and Gin at full speed.

"What a miraculous recovery!" Gin muttered.

"These brats…" Hiroto shook his head, as Kagura jumped onto his back, with Shinpachi jumping onto Gin's.

As the 4 started to walk away, Kagura said, "Hiro, Gin, I feel like eating ramen."

"Sushi for me," Shinpachi added

"Hell no, you'll eat up everyone's serving, and the next stores serving," Hiroto replied.

"Stupid! You won't get to eat those except on your birthday." Gin added.

"Besides that… aren't you quite heavy, Kagura?" Hiroto said.

*whack*

"Don't say that a young lady is heavy to her face!" Kagura said, hitting Hiroto's head.

"Yes, ma'am," Hiroto responded.

"Hahaha." Shinpachi, Gin, Kagura, and Hiroto laughed, as they all walked away.

From above them, Katsura watched on, talking to himself, "Now that you've got them back, hold on tight."

As the group continued on and arrived at Odd Jobs, Hiroto turned to the others and asked, "Hey, did we forget something?"

"Hm? Don't think so." Gin replied.

In Katsura's hideout, a tanned and plump girl woke up. Looking around the place, she muttered, "Where am I?"
