The Armory Elites - Part 04

The plan to break into prison was ongoing. At once, Timothy and Phoebe thought of a new way to battle the power of the elites. They believed that Snoobs' beastly demeanor was only on their side due to Gootsy's melody. Otherwise, they devised a thought; If they were to take down Gootsy, it could change the outcome, and Snoobs would be defeated easier.

Timothy kept a confident stance. He opened his hand and flicked his fingers. It snapped out a tiny flame that flared around. "So, I have 60 seconds to take down that musician? It's doable. Make sure to take care of the bear for me, Phoebe."

He bent and dashed forward. "Over here, Pinnochio!" Gootsy's view locked onto Timothy. Seeing Timothy rushing at him at full speed terrified him.

Timothy pulled back his right arm and prepared to punch it into Gootsy's face. But, due to his wish not to get struck in the face, Gootsy bounced back and held his violin bow.

Snoobs spotted Timothy's body in front and watched him. He prepared to deliver a downward strike, but Phoebe's ropes wrapped around his arms. "Over here, you giant furball!" she tightened her ropes near her hands. She transformed them into a steel-hard weapon and pulled back with full power.

It quickly diverted Snoobs' attention and gave Timothy a chance to proceed further ahead. "You're dealing with her now!"

Timothy chased after Gootsy, whose sweat started to be visible on his brows. "Damn it. What are they doing?" questioned Gootsy and started to dodge Timothy's flurry of attacks.

Phoebe winked at the bear and smiled. "Come on, let's play a little." It frustrated Snoobs and forced him into a wild tackle toward her.

Snoobs roared out loud. He raised his giant paws and prepared to smash Phoebe, but before he would strike, she elegantly slipped between his legs and wrapped the ropes around his ankles.

She slid her body on the rough terrain, forced Snoobs off his balance, and then shifted into a whirl. She stopped behind Snoobs and without any hesitation, placed her palm against the earth. "Gravity Field!" she exclaimed.

The large radius of the area got surrounded by strong gravity. It forced Snoobs to get taped to the ground and prevented him from moving. "This must be enough to keep that bear still. I just need to hope that Tim can beat Gootsy before my time runs out."

Timothy pulled back from fighting up close and swiftly enveloped his right arm with orange fire. He punched in front and released a fire projectile.

Gootsy continued hopping back, slipping on the sides like a kangaroo and avoiding the fiery attacks. Timothy, however, stopped not.

He shifted his way of attacking and jumped high in the air. Once reaching the perfect height, he spun in the air and set his right foot on fire. After stopping the spinning motion, he quaked out a shockwave and lifted his leg skyward.

He quickly locked his view onto Gootsy and dove down at outstanding speed. "A diving attack? Nice try, pirate!" Gootsy drew a circle on the ground that glowed and then blinked back.

Timothy came crashing down and slammed his foot on the ground. With the velocity he rammed the floor, it quaked out another shockwave that spread through. The sheer and brutal force elevated platforms from around him, kicked up a strong gust, and tossed the shards around.

Then, Timothy came in eye contact with a trap that Gootsy set down. "What?! A bomb?!" with his loud yell, the circle on the ground activated and detonated. It bombed out a bizarre storm of destruction that enveloped Timothy whole. "You're too reckless, pirate! You're not observant!"

Gootsy felt a current of wind pass behind him and heard Timothy's voice. "Oh really?! Say that someone you hit!"

Gootsy turned around, noticing Timothy dragging his left leg behind, followed by a fiery trail. He ducked, allowing him to dodge Timothy's powerful kick by a hair.

He felt the fire's heat lurch above his head. He noticed Timothy launching another assault, this time by slamming his whole leg into the ground for the second time.

Gootsy's body flickered, and suddenly he blinked back in the distance while Timothy drove his foot into the ground. He caused another devastating blow, which startled Gootsy even at a safe distance.

"I cannot believe it. He exerts so much force, yet his ability's elemental. It shouldn't give him so much power. Could his body be developed too?" questioned Gootsy, spotting Tim's right arm swinging out from the flames and blowing them aside.

Phoebe continued observing the battle and started getting exhausted. Her sweat was clearly visible. "Crap... I've got about 20 seconds left. He needs to finish this now!" she claimed, breathing heavily, and continued on to increase the gravity. But, because her body started getting tired, it granted Snoobs the strength to stand up.

Timothy stretched his arms forward and closed them close. He was sweating, knowing that he needed to finish the fight soon. He formed a ball of fire that increased its size.

Gootsy's eyes opened in astonishment. He then heard Timothy shout, "Detonation Bomb!" and observed him prepare the infernal ball.

Timothy's right arm shook and caused him pain. "D-Damn it..." he whispered, but finally let the fireball dart toward Gootsy. It sped through the air, leaving a powerful shock that pushed Timothy back.

The fireball burned its way over the flammable ground, leaving a trail of a strong wind behind it. It horrified Gootsy, but he still had no choice but to meet it head-on.

"Melodic Barrier!" he pointed his violin bow in front of him and played a ringing tune. It created a circular barrier in front and used it as a guard.

The fireball met the barrier and started pushing through it. "N-No! Y-You won't get passed me! I'm an elite agent! I cannot lose! My title's on the line!" Gootsy's voice stuttered. He tried to fight the fireball head-on with his barrier, but it seemed too powerful for the barrier to withstand it. "I... will... prevail! I won't lose to a bunch of unworthy pirates! D-Damn it!"

Gootsy's view became covered with the bright light of the burning fire. He felt his eyes going blind and the heat pressing against his skin. "You fool! You're going to die! You'll fall down, and I'll enjoy watching the admirals destroy you! You hear me, pirate?! This isn't over!" Gootsy screamed out as he met the fireball head-on.

"No way! I'm not dying! Not until I get Chiaki out of there! I promise that I'll save her! Even if that means risking everything I have!" Timothy yelled. His voice echoed out in the fluttering wind, and the next moment, he noticed Gootsy's barrier shattering into shards.

They scattered on the ground and then disappeared in shining sparkles. "Damn you!!!" Gootsy's body got finally caught in the fire of the bomb, ready to strike him down. He was caught in a burning explosion and got blasted through the air.

His body smoked from the fire while his eyes whitened out from the pain. He crashed down onto a bricked rooftop and lay on it defeated. His final movement involved his mouth as he breathed out smoke.

Timothy breathed out heavily, but at last, he succeeded. His next step was to find Chiaki, but until he could, there was still another enemy to face.

15 minutes remain before the underwater train's set to go...
