Homelessness

Kou's body didn't budge even an inch. He observed his captain as she stood before him. She was dressed exactly like usually, but she was a girl. a strong-built girl whom was full of life. He could sense trepidation and knew that if Ayuka learned the truth, she had probably done some of the scariest things. He hardly had the capacity to maintain his calm.

Before him was a girl. Kou's captain. She began zapping through the streets, making her way toward every merchant in the area. She had spectators around her. They were troubled, some of them were worried, and others were confused. They didn't do anything but watch the girl run through the stalls.

The food kiosks had a wide range of items, including meat, vegetables, corn, and wheat. She received foodstuff from the salesperson with joy. Most of them gave it to her for free, which wasn't normally possible. They didn't demand money or any other form of payment, in contrast to many other people.

She was holding a paper, Kou noted. It had writing on it, and he began to feel uneasy about it. He thought the document Tem was holding wasn't truly secure.

He immediately began to shiver. All over his body, his hair rose. He had to put an end to the mayhem, pick up the book he dropped, and then dash over to Tem.

He wound up getting caught in the center. Tem was seen by him jumping between the stalls. Even her crewmate didn't interest her in the slightest. She moved as quickly as a grasshopper. She moved from one stall to another in the span of one instant.

As he observed her hopping around, he perspired. He made an effort to follow her motions, but it was hopeless. She was just visible as a silhouette as she sprinted across. He made an attempt to catch her but was unsuccessful.

Kou struggled for a while before Tem eventually settled. She eagerly stood staring at the just-cooked meat. It was the flesh that was uncovered in the wilderness. a unique species of creature, the lion shark. It was regarded as the most exquisite kind of meat available on the entire island.

She had a strong want to take it. In fact, she was fairly glowing. It was impossible to imagine the ecstasy on her face. She did nothing but hop up and down. Kou finally took the chance of leaving the place and sped toward Tem. He attempted to yank her away while enveloping her from behind with his arms.

Tem fought back. She was succumbing to her restlessness. Her arms and legs swayed ahead.

"Okay, this is as far as you'll go! You've done more than enough to ruin my mood! Ayuka's gonna kill me if you don't come back with me, safely!"

"So... Stop struggling, trying to get the meat, and let's go! We're not too far away!"

Tem's stomach was snugly surrounded by his strong arms, which could endure her impatience. He had trouble even containing her. Despite having a tiny frame, she was laden with strength and muscles. Even as he moved her out of the way, his face started to become purple. He began to breathe more deeply, but soon after, he began to pant.

She wouldn't budge. She couldn't be moved by using just simple hands, like a boulder in the middle of the road. She couldn't possibly be removed from the location without a truck.

However, Kou's muscles finally stiffened. They shoved hard into her stomach. It was so strong that she was unable to handle the pressure. She just stopped breathing as a result of Kou's strength, which made her body lighter and gentler to move.

She moaned loudly, making Kou feel quite uncomfortable. People just started coming at them, making Kou's goal appear inappropriate. From the scene, his own eyes twitched. He grinned embarrassingly before gulping after hearing Tem's remark.

"Ow! That hurt like hell! Are you trying to squish me like a bug?"

Kou and Tem had their eyes locked. He judged her as he stared at her. He finally succeeded in dragging her along with him through the mass of people as they formed a line without using words. The unease only grew more intense. He was fortunate to be able to squeeze between the houses. Him and the others heard Tem's ferocious screams of indignation.

He stopped himself in the center of another street that was designed like a circle. Only a few individuals went by, some of whom gave them the most awkward looks.

The area's oddest feature was the utter silence. There were primarily homeless people. They were destitute, starving, thirsty, and filthy. On top of blankets, the majority of people sat on the ground next to the structures. People that led happy lives weren't everywhere to be seen.

As a result, they both stood out. They made homeless people uncomfortable with their presence. They weren't anticipating seeing anyone like them in the vicinity of the ruins. The immediate area was chaotic. Fixing this would be difficult.

"Hey, Tim. Did you know about this place? These people. Are they really homeless? I don't feel comfortable with this scenario."

Local kids suffered injuries. Many of them had illnesses. They had a disease that would have been extremely difficult for younger kids to recover from. Their skin was grimy, and their clothing was tattered. They couldn't wash themselves. Everyone and everything was a complete catastrophe. Even filthy flags with the image of the sun on them were carried by some. Red lines were crossed over them.

The "Sun's Order" did not enjoy the favor of anyone in the region. They all detested it. They found the behavior repulsive. They only revealed minuscule traces of hostility. They were understandably enraged despite being weak from the horrendous treatment, poor quality goods, food, and clothing. Their entire way of life was devastated.

A wall they couldn't get over...

She observed these individuals suffering, trying to survive. Tem was in disbelief. She hardly had the energy to move. She was powerless to change the condition. There was no way for more than a few hundred people to avoid death. There had to be action taken. Something that would prevent each and every one of them from crumbling and splattering on the damp floor like a splash of rain.

They had horrible lives. They hid their feelings. In actuality, the only feeling they had in common was grief. The face of fear. The expression of sadness.

In the midst of the dying people, standing. Her grip trembled. She had trouble speaking. At that precise moment, saving them was all she wanted to do.

"All these people... All these children... They are dying. They are a mess, and there's nothing we can do."

"Damn it all. What the hell have the people of this island done to them? It makes sense, Yumiko's story..."

"Now I finally see it for myself. I know what I have to do. I can't let these people down. These people need a doctor. They need somebody to treat them. To feed them!"

"They are all scared. They are powerless. Who would let these people live out in the opening. The buildings are destroyed, there is no place to live! Now even a single hut to rest."

Kou was hit by hopelessness. He was worried because he could see how upset and stressed his captain was. He made an effort to remain composed, but the surroundings made him think back through time. His relatives and friends, dying. He had no other memories besides those.

Death, misery, and loss. His eyes shredded from the strain. His face started to pour with tears. He struggled to control his feelings. He was helpless to stop. Only the floor was touched by his tears. Like a wilted flower, they made ripples.

His face was unmistakably crying, albeit in silence. His gaze froze. His eyes barely managed to remain open as they shook. Nothing could have made him feel better.

And Tem paid attention to every last detail. She was speechless.

Kou's subdued voice was perceptible to her. It was hardly clear. He pleaded for aid. He implored her to help these children, people. He desired to remove all reminders of the past. The tragic and disastrous past. He was motivated to help these people simply by his recollections of Jawjack, who destroyed his family's life and the lives of other.

"Please, Tim. I can't watch this. These people are dying. They need to be saved. We can't let them die!"

"I know that wasn't our goal, but seeing this and doing nothing about it would destroy these people's lives even more than now!"

"I know. I have no rights to ask you of something like this. I'm not captain. But, I can't keep this up! Their lives are on the line. All of those children, they're young. If they die at this young age, they will never see their dream, their wishes!"

"I want these children to keep on dreaming! I want them to see another day. Unlike them, I was able to travel over the sea. These children need to see the world. They need to witness the beauty. They can't just die like that!"

"Please... Tim... I beg you... I want to help these people..."

She gave him a withering glance. It was simple to comprehend. His plans were beneficial. They had no choice but to save these people. They required aid. They had to travel all over the world. They couldn't have allowed them to pass away so soon.

She realized. Kou's past has truly destroyed his entire life. Still, there was some amusement left. Still, his goal was still fulfilled. He could collapse at any point.

She let out a quiet exhale after closing her eyes. After turning around, she realized what needed to be done. Kou could hear her voice.

"For somebody your age, you're already mature..."

"You know what has to be done. You know that these people need saving. You surprise me, Kou. You truly are a big-hearted kid."

"Kou!"

"Let's help these people."

Kou's eyes flashed open. He was shocked by Tem's acceptance. He was knew. He learned. The person before him was a person he knew he could trust. Whether a girl or a boy.

The heart is united...
